  • China is deepening its ties with Latin America trade relations and political relations.
According to the World Economic Forum, Latin America's bilateral trade in goods with China grew 26-fold from US$12 billion in 2000 to US$315 billion in 2020 and is expected to more than double by 2035, to over US$700 billion. China has already overtaken the EU and is Latin America's second biggest trading partner after the USA.
As far as the political ties are concerned, in the last few years, China has increased its footprint in the LAC region through the China-CELAC-Forum summits launched in 2016. President Xi Jinping has visited the region 11 times since he took office in 2013. And during the pandemic, vaccine diplomacy has also become a cornerstone of China's regional strategy, delivering more than 300 million doses to LAC countries (compared with 125 million from the EU).

The difference between USA/West and China is very clear and distinct: China never say something like “ We have Latin America”, “ Latin America is our backyards” , “ We lost Latin America or Africa. “ Chewing on their narrative and ponder what mindset behind it.

Why does the us always portrait china as evil. Ever since I was a kid, the media attitude towards china was never friendly, sometimes aggressive. All the analysts, reports and statistics predicted china was supposed to fail and collapse but somehow managed to be US biggest threat . One of the poorest country managed to lift over a billion people out of poverty in 30 years became no2 economy .
Why so much hate towards china?

Brazil, as a current member of BRICS, will only do business with countries that offer a deal that could best fulfill our interests. We don't care about Western values or your endless speeches on how good democracy is. Brazil is setting up to become an important player in the coming decade, so China's deals and trade agreements are our best opportunity to boost the development of our technology and infrastructure sectors. Moreover, it's even more stupid of you to expect us to turn up against Russia, one of our most important economic partners in BRICS, after China. We're not gonna play your geopolitics game, I'm sorry.
Brazil doesn't want (or need) more US ideology. Brazil wants lucrative deals. It seeks MONEY and DEVELOPMENT.

This is a matter for the people of Latin America to decide.
If the Europeans start acting like the US hegemon like insulting the intelligence of the people of Latin America by constantly talking about China this and China that, the Europeans will increasingly be on the outside looking in.
Do your part and engage in a constructive manner with the global south. Don't make it about China because it is really ridiculous the narratives being pushed by the US.

Qing ceded the control of Taiwan to Japan the Treaty of Shimonoseki in April 1895. Second, the ROC still claims to represent China. Article 26 of the ROC constitution states the number of delegates to the National Assembly from Tibet, Mongolia and other frontier regions.
