- This is the greatest trick in my career as a Skimboarder, and I managed to pull it in competition.
I won the Sebastian inlet contest last weekend, and broke and world record and i'm mad about it.

Way to bring awareness dude. Here's another conversation piece, I later landed a varial flip in a final and it didn't even get scored. I technically got a zero for a varial flip. Apparently none of the judges saw it. The judges offered to score it and take everyones word and watch the clip someone got of it. SkimUSA/ShoreLB vetoed this. I tried to have a conversation with them but the answer was no. Later a few of the judges came up to me and apologized and told me how they were down to watch a clip but SkimUSA told them not too. I might make a video about this but I was also told if I start posting about it or stuff it could "jeopardize" me being on the team. Anyways that was a long-winded comment. I love the skim content dude, keep it up. I just want to see the sport/art of skimboarding grow and I want no beef with the organizations after all they're the reason we even have contest right now. #jooqsquadstandupcomedy

On topic of the video, if someone can 100% get a perfect 10 ride for making a worlds first, they will definitely do it. You're spot on with the sentiment in the video, if you don't give perfect 10s, people will just stick to high scoring runs that they know work & are comfortable with.. if you're behind in a round, you may need to pull a 10 out. This leads to so many people pushing the bar of the sport, just think how many will head out to create new, never seen before tricks.. right now people are comfortable. What was ever achieved in life while comfortable? They need to make this shit uncomfy, it will rapidly accelerate the sports floor, and ceiling as a whole. 👌🏻

I remember when Travis Pastrana did the first Double Backflip at X-Games and one of the judges didn't score 100. They were talking about it on air about the judge. You got to wonder the people they let judge stuff.

Jack you have many great points and one thing that skim USA has done this year is required paid judges for the pros. With that being said I wonder if these select judges are required to take a test or watch a video on the point scale and any changes that have been made to the rules as far as scoring, priority, & missed waves. I think skim USA has done a great job at making things more professional and I do think that there are more things that can be improved. Like Graham mentioned about his variable kick flip being missed, it’s a terrible thing to have happen but I think there’s ways that skim USA and all skim contest directors can improve but we can’t forget how far we’ve come from even just a few years back. Anyways great video great contest and great job on the joog spin.

Hey man, big fan, been skimming myself since early 90's. Wanted to drop a fun one on ya, think I might have seen you try something like it in a battle. But anyway the one foot landing out of a shove-it! It is a bit of and ankle breaker learning it but feels super good when you nail it... have fun! =) I suck at 360 shove-its, so I like quick 180 shove to 180 shove (opposite direction) to one foot landing, and ride that one foot out to the super satisfying front foot stomp!

I think it depends of the trick. I know it s a hard trick and all but if you do a double backflip out the back you would for sure get a 10. I dont think that every new trick should get a 10. You can do something stupid like an airwalk or something and maybe it was never been done and I dont think it shuld get a 10 just because it was never been done.
