Flat skim... That is the last skimming that I'd ever seen, until I discovered this channel in 2020. Goes back to Santa Monica Canyon, Will Rogers State Beach, low tide, circa 1965. Excellent retro session!

I didn't know there were so many variations on the shove it! It looks so fun. Before I do that, I still need to learn the 2 step to get on the board. I still throw it and jump with two feet at the same time. You guys are too good!

Makes me want to try skimming again, first time I tried as a kid I didn't know about wax and that the flat plywood ones were junk. Second board had a little nose rocker and I had wax, I also had Pledge like you use on furniture and I had some open carpet in the house (I'm sadly a ways from the beach) and I proceeded to land all kinds of wrong and bust my arm early in the summer. Third time was the charm and I was armed with a board that looked like the found one in this video, I realized if I ran with the board pushing and jumped on I could get long low crouching sand slides.
