How do you know WHAT TIME ZONE to be in TRUCK DRIVERS | Over the road trucking
Teaching you what the trucking schools don't!! How do you know what the best time zone to operate in. For us... we stay on home time which is east coast. Whatever time you decide on set your dash or radio clock to that time. for delivers time us the GPS. For the local/current time zone use your phone!
If you are team drivers I suggest using a timer for your wake up alarm if you are driving thru different time zones.

Great advice!! I'm just learning all the ins and outs, almost ready for my permit. Hope to get my CDL within the next 2 months or so. After hearing this, am going to look into getting a dual small digital clock, maybe to velcro to the dash or ?? ... one with the base time, and one in my actual time zone am physically in. I don't want to make time mistakes as far as driving hours, shift hours, etc. either. There's so many details to this trucking career I'm seeking! Appreciate all the info I get here. My wife and I just bought our first truck (2020 Volvo 860) and have ordered a crossroads Mattress. I used your videos to make the Murphy bed with the Froli system but the hardest thing for us is setting and sticking to a schedule. Its going to get harder as we switch carriers next week and start hauling DOD AA&E. Thanks for your content , we have gotten many ideas from your videos.
