Mickey's Toontown Fair permanently closed on February 12, 2011 to make way for Storybook Circus. This video is a walking tour through the land, including glimpses at Mickey and Minnie's houses, Goofy's Barnstormer, Donald's Boat, Fairies meet-and-greet, and the Walt Disney World Railroad.

we need to write a petition to disney to add atleast mickey and minnies houses back!!!!Maybe they could add them on main street? I have so many fond memories from when i was like 2, so please bring it back

I went this summer and hope to go again. Never could see the houses. They look neat and I like the wholesome cozy country feeling they have.

Bruh Minnie houses house was my favorite. I remember going into her kitchen and looking in the oven to see the cake pop up. Disney really needs to bring this back

I was there today for this exact reason. I took my first steps there back when it was Mickey's Starland and then a couple months later it became Mickey's Toontown Fair, so it's always been a big part of my life. I'll miss it, alot. ='(
Going back shortly after Toontown was closed, Magic Kingdom didn't feel the same. Mickey and Minnie don't live there anymore.

I miss toontown so much
I remember visiting this area for the first time at age three. I don’t think it should have been retired. It consisted of a cartoonish town resembling the residences of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pete, Donald, and others designed by Walt Disney himself. Mickey’s Toontown Fair could have stayed or gone, but I would have been OK with it staying.
Surely there was enough available area to have kept this area and expanded Fantasyland. I don't understand the Disney mentality.
AlanScott69 You got that right, pal! They could’ve expanded it right behind the area of Big Thunder Mountain and make a magic, path to get there!
If you look on google maps theres a huge plot where they could've expanded fantasyland and even expand toon town.
Tbh I agree. nobody does . Especially with them changing splash mountain. Come on. That's a classic and one of my favorites there

As much as I did enjoy Toontown, I am obsessed with New Fantasyland. I have waited for years for the Little Mermaid ride (favorite princess, along with Belle and Aurora) and I love Gaston's Tavern and Enchanted Tales with Belle. I still consider Walt Disney World as a magical place. I went to a cast member soft opening with my older sister and my childhood was restored :)
used to be my favorite park as a kid. at least they moved the barnstormer to story book circus
i remember when i saw max at the toon town with goofy i love the toon town tent were you can wait in line and watch videos while waiting
I remember going to Disney when I was like, 5, and this was my favorite part in the park. I have so many pictures of me sitting in the different houses, and when I went back a few years later, I was so sad to see it gone :(
This is very sad of course but we can make a difference. I'm writing a persuasive letter to disney about this, and you can too. Spread the word if possible.
You mean there maybe a way that we can try to bring Mickey's toontown Fair back to the Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney world again if we all work together? how are you intending to spread the word?

They should've never ever closed down Mickey's Toontown Fair at the Magic Kingdom park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando in Florida on February 12th of 2011 to replace it for that Storybook Circus in the first place from that start to be gin with. What were they thinking closing down the Mickey's Toon Town Fair area? I don't see any reason why Mickey's Toontown Fair could'nt still exist next door to the new Fantasyland area when it first went into construction ever since 2011. I hope the people who run Disneyland in Anahiem in California don't get the exact same idea too. I too have also working on persuasive letter of my own to try to convince them to re-new the skyway. You know, the gondola lift with small carts lifted by cables on towers? They closed down the skyways at Disneyland in 1994 and at the Magic Kingdom in 1999. But i'm working on trying to convince them to re-new the skyway by it's original plans with some new suggested ideas such as building the carts a little bigger and roomier with a light blue paint job with either the Mickey Mouse ears or a picture of Mickey Mouse on the sides of the carts and with non-breakable windows so that the guests won't accidently fall out of the carts or accidently drop their souvenirs out of the carts either.

Lucky Disneyland still has their toontown. Here in florida it's no longer there. They should've kept it. I enjoyed that place

This part of the park was freaking awesome... Ive been going to Disney since I was 2... I always came to ToonTown to see Mickey's and Minnie's house.. And ride the sky plane... Damn you Disney :(
Awww... I miss toontown, but then again the new storybook circus DEFINITELY makes up for the loss ;)

I remember going to Magic Kingdom and my parents getting me a face paint. Man those were the memories. I will cherish them forever. 😔
I hope they remake it but bigger more rides ( for younger and older kids) and more attractions

I never got to go here, I was around 3 when it closed so I never experienced toon town, or at least I don’t remember it, and it’s very sad, I wish it were still there so I could explore it :(
This closed for some princess thing. As a kid, I was disappointed.
Clay4Trey New Fantasyland to be exact! Although I’m sad I moved from Magic Kingdom park, I’m exciting by all the new experiences and adventures coming from New Fantasyland!

I wanted to see too town so bad when I was a kid!
Sad. I was like 6 back in 1997 on my first and only trip to disney world. The only memories i have are tinker bell coming down the castle and minnie mouses house. Wish i could bring my daughter to minnie mouses house!

@411jvg Toontown is still at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, and at most of the other Magic Kingdoms too.
Disney has already changed the audio spiel for the WDW Railroad, so I'm pretty sure they won't wanna do it. Besides, the only difference is going to be that there aren't going to be any of Mickey and his friend's houses. The area is basically just being revamped.
Everyone seems to be pretty upset that this is gone, but let’s not forget that this was suppose to be a temporary land before they decided to keep it.
Too bad Disney world will never have a Roger Rabbit car toon spin but this is close enough to Mickey's Toontown

it would be cool if they opened up a new toontown attraction, but even larger, so it resembles the map on toontown! it would be huge, haha

Nice footage. Now that my son is older, we haven't been to Toontown much, but we did do a walk through in December to say good-bye. What will they do with the houses? I really enjoy Minnie and Mickey's house.

@Bartsudz99 I think the expansion is a good thing. Toontown and Snow White are just.... Worn out. Sure, nothing could ever capture the horrifying beauty of Snow White and zaniness of Toontown Fair, but Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland is just... Meh.
What you're saying is basically like saying Disneyland's Fantasyland didn't need an update from the original 1955 version o.O

No, it closed years ago to make way for a Fantasyland expansion (which by all accounts is a worthy replacement).
