A Day at Disney Springs, LMGVids, • [2021] A Day at Disney...
Magic Kingdom Astro Orbiter, JWLMedia, • Astro Orbiter Full POV... - Zábava
As someone who grew up at Disneyland (living 5 miles away with an annual pass), but now works as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World, this is one of the hardest questions to answer. Disneyland has a unique charm and some quality advantages, while Disney World has incredible size, more unique experiences, and a relaxing vibe if you know where to find it. I always tell people that if you want to spend just a day or two, Disneyland is going to offer you the better experience, but if you want to be completely immersed for over a few days (or even weeks), Disney World is the vacation capital of the world for a reason.
The small size of Disneyland surprisingly works in its favor. Not only does it have far more rides than the other 5 US Disney theme parks, it is conveniently laid out into a relatively small area, and this makes it more walkable.
Thank you for calling out Disneyland entry procedures. There is nothing more infuriating than going through that line to go through the turnstiles when you know how much easier it is to do at DW.
The technology used in Florida should be everywhere.
Walt Disney world hands down. When ever I do Disney I only go just to Walt Disney world
I personally cannot live without Epcot, Animal Kingdom, the resorts or Disney Springs. Disney World is my home.
Agreed!
agreed
Disneyland feels more like a home with more of a sense of calm welcoming tbh, just somewhere that feels safe and familiar, compared to the larger scale of Disney world, where as Disneyland feels quiet, Disney world feels loud
Words cannot discribe how much i agree with you
Does that make it better tho?
@@derekmiles2543 In my opinion, yes, i prefer calm, but i can also understand why someone prefers something more big and loud
I like how close everything is, and you can get things done faster, and then do them again
@@averagedisneyfan1775 I don’t understand how that makes ALL of WDW worst but to each their own.
Astro orbiter at Disneyland USED to be elevated but we have “Rocket Rods” to blame for Astro Orbiter being relocated to the entrance of Tomorrowland.
Disney World is my home park so I kinda have to prefer that one. Disneyland is probably the better park tho. They’re all really fun parks at the end of the day. That’s what really matters if you ask me…
This was a fun video Offhand but as an Australian, my experiences at Disneyland have always been more convenient, more enjoyable and far, far, far, FARRRR less stressful than WDW. It wasn't just because lower crowds but just a more organised and homely experience. I tend to recommend to people literally travelling from overseas for these once in a lifetime holidays to just go to Disnyeland because if you don't have a handle or have done your research on WDW, it's really hard to navigate, can be really overwhelming and just WAY, WAY, WAYYYYY too expensive! But you entertaining as always!
It's funny that WDW just replaced an Epcot pavilion with a new ride while Disneyland just put in a major new ride without getting rid of anything.
Right - like DLR found a nice unused space to add runaway railway but WDW straight up replaced The Great Movie ride for Runaway Railway.
Like, my dudes…. What’s the point of having all this space if you’re not only replacing one ride for another, but arguably replaced it with a worse ride.
Railway at DLR is already better by virtue of not replacing anything.
Like my professor once said when visiting both parks, Disneyland hugs you while Disney World feels like it’s swallowing you.
Not to drag fetishes into this, but I've been a Disney kid all my life, and I'll gladly let WDW vore me every fuckin' year.
*I'm a Louisiana native who's never been to the West Coast in his entire life, and my mom hates to fly - don't judge me.*
DCA freaks you out
@@cfruge444 So will I.
@@cfruge444 You and me both.
My personal experience is everyone loves their first Disney park best. Whatever you did as a kid is where the most magic is found. I love Disneyland in way I don't think WDW could ever match, though I've only been there once for a half-day. It's more a reflection of Disneyland than anything else. My favorite childhood memories are there, my honeymoon was there, its where we took our kids when they were little.
Actually this is a good theory!
Like all good rules, people exist to break them- I went to WDW twice as a kid and the memories burned into my brain and I still have vivid recollections now as I near 30. I went to Disneyland for the first time in 2018 and it has blown all those memories out of the water and I love it so much. There’s just something so much more homey about Disneyland.
But ultimately, and I’m sure that’s what he’s going for with this pair of videos, is that they both have things that make them “better” than the other.
This sounds accurate.
I grew up near DL and went often, then as an adult I moved to the east coast and started going to WDW, DL always feels more like home or nostalgic.
But if you have more days, WDW has alot more to offer
My theory on the business between WDW and DL (atleast a contributing factor) is people are more likely to book longer trips to experience multiple parks spread out through a mini-town at Disney World. Whereas you get a lot more day-trippers at Disneyland looking to do specific experiences.
And besides in Disneyland you have the whole city of LA to see as well, and Orlando is basically just theme parks
I agree. I think Disney World has more stuff to do on a multi day trip, whereas Disneyland and California Adventure are two to three day visits max. Plus you can visit the rest of California after you're done there
We went to Disney Springs like 3 times during our trip to Florida in August. There was just so much to see and do. Even the shops we went into before kept us coming back, like the World of Disney store.
You mentioned ambiance a bunch, so what drives me crazy is the push to do things on the app, is everyone is staring at their phones and missing what makes WDW special. I too am addicted to my phone, but at WDW I want to forget about how many emails I'm missing.
Dallin, I must ask you, as a fellow Tomorrowland enthusiast, what would be your ideal Space Mountain? If you were creating your own, mayhaps for your own Disney park, what would you add/subtract to it?
What a great video idea! I hope he does this
Just take the space mountain from Disneyland Paris. Done. Best space mountain
I respect your point of view. My experience is that Disneyland is much more accessible. Anyone can choose an inexpensive hotel and dine on fast food and ride an Anaheim bus to show up at Disneyland saving thousands of dollars over WDW.
Disneyland has Toad. End of story 🐸
WDW had Toad at one time, replaced it with Pooh, much like DL. They have Country Bears which DL had, replaced with Pooh. Weird. BTW you can still see Max, Melvin, and Buff on DL's Pooh.
Went to Disney world as a kid and it’s the only vacation I’ve ever had. I remember we got the fast passes when they were new (around 2006). We got to skip a ridiculous amount of people in line. I’m telling you guys, we got on the ride in a few minutes when the other people had to wait HOURS because the lines were so long. It was crazy, so few people had the fast passes so we got all the rides out of the way for each park in a few hours and would just ride some over and over. Looking back I can see why the fast passes were so dumb. Either way, I had a great time as a kid but felt kinda bad for the people who had to wait so long in line. The longest line was probably the tower of terror and that only took us like 30 minutes. I don’t even want to know how long the others had to wait. Love your videos man keep it up.
My family and I are dvc members and never missed a trip. The only time we couldn't go was during the pandemic.
The old fast pass system SHOULD come back, heard some bad things about Genie+ being awful
With Bob Iger back, I hope he brings back the actual proper Fast Pass!! Geni+ was probably an idea from Bob Paycheck lol
THEY NEED TO STOP RAISING PRICES!! I'm honestly trying to go and enjoy the parks without worrying about going bankrupt. There's a reason I've only been twice in my life, and believe me, I would've been many more times.
Hotels ALONE cost over £1000 quid on top of £600 tickets AND flights 💀
I'm trying to save up for the Disney Land & Sea package holiday it's £1399 per person which I can ironically save up for a year's worth of allowance which actually includes Disney Cruise as well as Walt Disney World, my only concern is if flights are included with the package or not 🥲
I'll either save up all of this year for August or keep saving for the next 2 or 3 years just to visit the damn park lmao 😭
Reason why I want Bob Iger to decrease the prices on these tickets now he's back!!
Okay so one of the reasons disney world is so laid back is that's just the culture of Florida. If you go to any place, especially fast food restaurants outside of disneyworld while in Florida you'll notice that. It's cause Florida is very much a retirement state.
Disneyland is the ORIGINAL. You can literally walk where Walt Disney himself use to be. There’s something comforting and grounding knowing that your walking with Walt in Walt’s park. Disneyworld is amazing and has so much more to offer. But that sense of stepping into history just isn’t at WDW for me, that’s part of why I love Disneyland most.
I mean, he walked the area of DisneyWorld’s Magic Kingdom as well, since it was his idea and he was there a lot before he died. At any rate, I love the charm of Disneyland and the size of WDW. I wish I lived closer to either one.
I mean, there's the Walk In Walt's Footsteps tour for crying out loud. Magic Kingdom could never
@@chibicheeks78 Walt littery stepped on wdws ground.
@@Ryotsu2112 that’s not the same as being in the park with guests, observing them and improving the experience based on direct observation. It’s more than just stepping on dirt on orange tree roots.
@@tzkelley of course it’s not but WDW was
Touched by Walt Disney
I prefer Disneyland, but you make some fair points.
Besides weather, Disney World wins in all aspects.
@@aidanalexander1938 Disneyland Park is better than Magic Kingdom
@@KaroTaro ok
@@aidanalexander1938 I'm sorry but you are just wrong, stop lying to yourself
Okay so I've never been to Walt Disney World (that will change in January!) but as a Disneyland Resort local I would like to offer a few counterpoints:
1. Park hopping.
2. Despite WDW having twice the amount of parks, the two resorts actually have a very similar amount of rides. That means there's more to do per park and you can get more done in a day. Having four parks does seem impressive, but the three non-Magic Kingdom parks only have a few major rides per park and strike me as being undersized to meet their demand. Meanwhile Disneyland is the most stacked park on planet Earth and DCA does pretty well too.
3. You raise your Haunted Mansion, I raise our Pirates, Small World, and Splash.
4. Indy.
5. I will agree that the tone is very go-go-go at DL, but I don't know if I buy that it's going to be any less so at WDW?
6. I don't really know how to put this, but Disneyland just feels so personal and magical. Disneyland is the only park that Walt Disney himself personally oversaw the construction of and it shows. You can tell the difference even just by going across the way to DCA.
I am still excited to go to WDW though, especially Animal Kingdom since I love animals and nature. We'll see how I feel about the resort after personal experience!
I've never been to Disneyland so I don't know what it's like there, but nowadays at Disney World you have to wake up early and pretty much schedule your day because of Genie+. You have to plan very well if you want to enjoy DW and it can be very annoying at times. Disney World can be enjoyable though and has some really good rides.
I hope you have fun in January!!! 😊
You’re going to have a blast in January. As a person who lives in California and goes to Disneyland all the time, I’m also a DVC member and you really cannot compare parks. They both are amazing in completely different ways. Hopefully you’re staying on property. Have fun!!
DL Splash is not better, its pacing is off and you can barely understand the story
@@cfruge444 Probably should have clarified, but I meant that DL and DCA are right across the way from each other. Like a 30 second walk.
I thought that the size was a huge advantage until I went to Florida. It's crazy how much space they wasted in Florida. There are vast expanses of park space in Florida that are like abandoned parking lots.
And somehow at WDW they have less rides in Fantasyland than at Disneyland even after their giant recent renovation.
The amount of magic and attractions squeezed into each square foot is better maximized at Disneyland for sure.
That’s funny… and sad, but that shot you had of the Polynesian bungalows…. That grassy area used to be a wedding spot called Sunset Pointe. That’s where I got married.
10 “Disney World can add on & change things without removing something else” - tell that to mr toad & 20,000 leagues under the sea
WDW for a week-plus vacation and DL for 1 to 3 days. I can ride so much at DL and my feet don’t hurt later. Why is WDW so laid back? People are in pain. Their feet hurt and they’re tired. And, I noticed you forgot to mention Pirates.
As California natives that moved to Georgia in 2013, it took less than a year for us to call WDW our home. Even IF DL brought back the peoplemover… WDW forever has our hearts! Loved this vid!
Disneyland was made for families, Disney World was made for the masses.
not really
This is totally going to be up to a personal preference. I took my kids to Disneyland. 2 weeks later their dad took them to Disney world. When they came back they told me they much rather of been at Disneyland again than Disney world. They said it's too hot and things we're way more expensive, lines were way longer, and it just didn't feel as much fun and excitement as going to Disneyland. They also said they saw a lot less characters. It rained everyday so they got soaked, and they said it takes forever to get to the parks.
Now that's a review
Bro, youre killing it. Lovin the vibes lately youre the most self aware disney youtuber I could think of. Love the sillyness
I prefer Disneyland, however I’ve only been to Disney world once and it was a bad experience so I want to go back some day and give it another try
I have to agree with the rant on DL bag check and turnstiles. I've been a passholder since the late 90s and I miss just being able to walk in with my simple AP card. If you've ever used the DL app, especially if you hold the tickets for your party, you know how painful it is to swipe through and have them scan each one individually (The tickets are lined up and swiping is "sticky"). We usually debate before going if we REALLY need to bring a backpack since we like to be able to have snacks and water bottle but don't want to deal with bag check. The Toy Story lot is usually really good with having several stations with plenty of bag checkers (as long as you show up before 12) so the line isn't too long but you never know when you'll get the guy that checks every square inch of your bag and makes you remove EVERYTHING.
A) I totally agree with all of your points B) I just love the editing in this video, it's very smooth and your comedic timing is on point
Disneyworld is insanely crowded and insanely expensive. I could never afford to go to all 4 parks, but Disneyland is still doable. Of course Disneyworld has more to offer, after building Disneyland they could then improve on the rides and had much more land to work with. Its comparing apples to oranges. I agree with other comments that the quaint, comforting charm, being much less expensive,, and the feeling that Walt is still there in the relaxed, friendly atmosphere definitely makes Disneyland my choice.
Disneyland mouse control: Cats Walt Disney World mouse control: Snakes .... Call me Indy but I'll stick with Disneyland
It's both a good and bad thing that WDWR is big. If you only have a weekend, you can easily do the entirety of DLR. But a weekend at WDWR is practically nothing.
The approach to MK is the best. Nothing at DL beats the big lagoon and being whisked off by boat or monorail to a "distant kingdom" seeing the castle in the distance and all the surrounding resorts *chefs kiss*
I grew up in California and so I never really understood what the big deal was about Disney World. I was amused to visit Epcot just to visit someplace new but I really had no idea just how mind blowing Lee amazing Epcot really is. I can only describe Epcot as being a Disneyland for adults. Rather than get children excited with rides and attractions, Epcot gets adults excited with themed drinks and themed food that is authentic to the locations it is representing. I was absolutely giddy as a grown adult to visit each of their plans and spend a good hour at least touring each land. It was absolutely amazing.
35 days of rain at Disneyland. 149 days of rain at Disneyworld.
It’s usually just a short afternoon shower to be fair, unless you are there in hurricane season.
@@Ryotsu2112 hurricane season is 6 months out of the year now. 😄
Thats why they have so many fires
I’ve missed so much videos from you , been so busy with work and others forgot about watching these and how many times you’ve cheered me up.
Stayed at Pop Century last year. Now that they have the skyliner it is the best way to stay on a budget at the resort. Still ate at the fancy seafood restaurant over at the other hotel by Epcot. Skyliner system was great to get to the parks and restaurants and back to our room.
They need to expand the system more, as it was even more disappointing the next day getting on a bus to go to Disney springs. Buses are neat and all, but they lack that Disney charm.
Aside from Splash and the ones mentioned in this video I prefer every other ride at Disneyland over the Florida counterpart, ESPECIALLY Space Mountain, Indy (vs. sad Dinosaur), and Pirates. Plus you get more stuff at each park even if there are less parks. Also, park hopping at Disneyland is super easy and doesn’t waste hours off your valuable park time. Done both and honestly Epcot is the main reason I’d consider WDW again.
Pooh, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, phillarmagic are all better at WDW
@@toyaliens Can’t say I’ve done Pooh at WDW, but for some reason I couldn’t see show scenes in the graveyard as clearly in Haunted, but I did like the Escher room. Philharmagic isn’t really my thing. BTMRR prefer Disneyland, Jungle Cruise I’ll give you the extra scene, but overall Adventureland I prefer at DL, feels more “Jungly” I guess.
I wish it was possible to take Disney World's size and give it to Disneyland
My ten counter arguments:
1. Salt & Straw, downtown Disney. Trust me on this.
2. Better space mountain and pirates in CA
3. Disney history tours (like the one where you get to see Walt’s apartment)
4. Less planning required, room for improvisation
5. The fact that the monorail isn’t needed for actual transportation is understated in this video. Getting around the resort is ridiculously easy and can be done on foot.
6. Affordable non-Disney hotels within walking distance.
7. Your grandma won’t get arrested for having CBD like she will in Florida (yeah technically even medicinal weed isn’t allowed on property but the penalty is much less harsh. They just tell you to put it back in your car or dispose of it for you)
8. ORIGINAL TIKI ROOM
9. Cats. It wouldn’t feel like Disney without everyone’s favorite felines.
10. Less choices. This one is definitely a preference, but if you’re like me, the ability to do everything and still have time to just wander and redo your favorites (3 or 4 days is more than enough time) is just such a luxury and a source of stress relief.
Also mint juleps
Really though it’s all preference. The biggest difference I’m finding in the split is that people who prefer WDW can list their reasonings and hard facts off rapid fire but people who prefer Disneyland more so try to stress the “vibes”, the way the park makes you feel. Almost like shopping at a specialty boutique vs a department store.
Your last paragraph nails it. And maybe another way to think about vibes is “magic,” which is really what any Disney experience is all about
Dallin saying number 15 in chills voice gives me life
Now I need to hear him say better call saul
Seriously. The video was good but that really was the best part
Well Dyllon..not sure that's how it's spelled but I love your content. I will not hold thos against you..I have never been to DW I may never go. I am 68 and grew up with DL..I even worked there in the 70's so to me DL is the best..and here's my reason why..
I AM OLD and getting around DL and DCA is enough for me. I walk wioth a cane and get arouind alright but at times the walk back to the hotel is...trying. I find that the compactness of DL resort is enough for me. The amount of rides and entertainment in that small foot print is rather amazing in itself. So for me the size of little 'ol Disneyland makes it my park and perhaps if I get to go to DW that may change but as it is..I live in Hawaii and DL is just a short plane ride away and I love it.
Thank you for your work and keep it up
Both are amazing Disneyland feels like it’s a nice homie land full of magic but DisneyWorld feels like it’s big and feels like a grand adventure through a vast world
I’ve been to both parks. However, I’ve been to Walt Disney World 6 times and Disneyland once. Keep in mind, I am only 20 years old, so even my parents agree that WDW is better. Space Mountain at MK is my favorite attraction of all time, EPCOT is my favorite park in the world, and I personally think the resorts are much better here. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who stays at Pop Century at almost every visit. I love Walt Disney World so much that after college, I am trying to work in the finance department of the parks branch, so that WDW could be my life. Even if I don’t work for Disney, I will move to Florida within the next few years so I can visit the parks every weekend.
I'll let you know in three weeks when my dream comes true! I'll be at WDW for two whole weeks, soaking up as much as I can! I've been an annual pass holder to Disneyland for the past 25 years and have only ever been to one other Disney park: Hong Kong Disneyland when I was visiting HK. I'm very excited to see the differences and similarities that the magic kingdom (and other parks) has to offer!
Dallin, I've been watching your videos for years and they've never been short of awesome. Keep up the good work!
dallin, you killed it with this one. as a wdw ap member and someone who goes once a month for 2 days at a time. WDW really is like nothing else in the world. i love your videos man keep up the great work!
THANK YOU! Especially as a local AP, WDW any day of DLR. 4 parks, 2 water parks, Disney springs, sports complex’s, golf courses, free parking, more affordable. On our second year as APs and still haven’t done everything there is to offer at WDW.
And can I say… EPCOT!?!?
Based on the trip I just got back from to DL, Tron COULD happen as the parts needed for maintaining Autopia are either already or are soon to be no longer manufactured so that ride is slated for replacement. And the Star Wars Launching Bay is getting reviewed to try and get all of the Star Wars stuff over towards Galaxies Edge.
Agreed on the bag checkers NOT being the problem. The ones I interacted with were super nice.
Tron is still too big. Several CZcamsrs have done overlays trying to fit together satellite images and you’d still have to get rid of Space Mountain and the subs.
I went to Disneyland for the first time in Aug and hoenstly. I liked Disney World way better. If even only for how guest flow is handled. Also Disneyland has next to NO ac and it was hot af when I was there. I will admit I did enjoy a few rides more at Disneyland, but for me the Con outweighted the Pros for me. Also WDW CM's are nicer... There I said it. IDK if I just caught them all on a bad day but not a single CM said/wished me Happy Birthday, nor did I get any congrats for getting Married. (It's not that big a deal but at WDW I got so much attention on my birthday.)
BUT GUEST FLOW AT DISNEYLAND IS TRASH!!!
HIGHLY recommend the Astro Orbiter during the fireworks! No line, you'll probably be the only person on it, and by far the best view of the show!!
Bag checks at WDW is frustrating when you have a portable charger with you😅 Had to have security go through my bag everyday cause of it.
That relaxing spot by the bungalos at the Polynesian is AMAZING. I took your advice and went there myself, sat on the grass and just sat there for about 10 minutes. Great experience
Chilling at WDW visiting Morocco in depth, Tom Sawyer Island, taking ferry to the Camp Grounds/Hop de Do, lingering in the Contempo, or strolling AK.
I think Disneyland is better for a one day visit. Feels like a best of Disney to me. For a longer visit though, hard to beat Disney World too tho.
In 2020 I moved to Florida from the west coast. I live about 5 miles from Magic Kingdom, I go to a parks basically every weekend and while I agree with multiple things you've said (EPCOT is the best even if it's largely under construction atm)......but I miss Disneyland. It feels different here....There IS more....but it feels like less. There is plenty to do but somehow it just doesn't have the charm. They try less here, I think. I've been back to Disneyland and DCA twice since moving here and I know for sure, I miss it.
They have so much space to build new attractions that they just had to remove snow white and mr. Toad for a meet and greet. Shaaaade
Toad was removed for a ride....
@@toyaliens Thanks. My point still stands.
My husband and I were married on that hill at the Poly back in 2003 (when it was known as Sunset Pointe before the bungalows).
Disneyland is the happiest place and Disney World in the magical place. To me it’s hard to compare, because they are so different from each other. WDW I do feel more relaxed because of all the space. Disneyland can get a little over crowded with less elbow room.
10.) The Gift of Size - They don't use it properly. They don't! Yes they have for more room...maybe, except for whern you don't. You bloody know well what I'm talking about. Congestion points will always be congested. Flat out fact. You have more room, but way less attractions. Add in the missing attractions and I bloody guarantee you would see the traffic jams.
10-a.) Moving between parks - Moving between parks is a huge pain in the rear in Flordia for the half day parks. You certainly just don't walk across an esplanade. Shuttles, busses, boats, and monorails are involved.
9. You got pretty close on the Disneyland Monorail. They have decicided to keep the Disneyland Monorail an attraction. It's a bit of a bonus for those of us who know how to get parked over in the Pixar parking structure and down through downtown disney into Tomorrowland, bypassing the trams and esplanade gate fiasco in early morning.
8. Skyliner transportation not necessary to Anaheim. Not for consideration. You can walk between the two parks. This is a huge bonus. No mass transit needed.
7. Ground walking is subjective. Nothing stopping you from leaving either park and walking downtown disney into the Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel. Both hotels will welcome guests, hotel guests or not. Some of the best dining service I've had was at the GCH while not staying, and just kicking it on the patio of the Hearthstone.
6. Water Parks. You got it there. Knotts is a cheap uber away. Raging Waters also. However, you are correct for getting wet, outside of the pools at the resorts, or the rides in the parks, not going to happen.
5. Anaheim Resort security is pathetic. It's a crap shoot. I'll routinely have my camera bag with me, and sometimes they just gloss over it, and some days I have to remove each and every lense for their inspection. At Disneyland Paris, just sent the thing through the x-ray and it was fine. Disney World, just walked through with my umbrella over my head. I don't know Mate, different locations and different requirements? I just go with the flow. Best investment I ever made was a belt with a plastic buckle. Saves so much time.
4. I'm not even going to talk about the people mover, rocket rods, or the defunct night lighting track as it is now. You have sooo many episodes covering this.
3. Rides - Disneyland has this bang to rights. Withj a Matterhorn in the the park. No other park has a Matterhorn. Also inside Disneyland are Indiana Jones (not the back breaking coaster), Star Tours, and oh yeah, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge with Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance. Thiose alone would cost you like 2 parks?
Just do a 1 -1 comparison of rides in Florida Parks dispersed vs Anaheim Resort and you'll come to the same conclusion. Go to Anaheim for the rides.
2. Haunted Mansion - Here we must agree to disagree. In my opionin, Disneyland is an overall better experience when not rushed. You get to kind of relax and enjoy the walkthrough portion queue before being crammed onto the ride. Disneyworld, out you go and onto the ride and away!
1. Our Astro Orbiter used to require a NASA elevator ride up to the platform that was on top of the people mover platform giving a splendid view of the park. Unfortuantely people got fat, and the new ride system couldn't work up there, so they had to move it to ground level. I agree with you here, elevated orbiter was far superior.
Plastic/Polymer belt buckle will save you a lot of time.
Writers Cramp for sure
Disney World has Fort Wilderness Campground.....that is the true hidden gem at WDW. You want to talk "laid back"....spend a week camping there.
WDW all the way! I’m a fellow Epcot enthusiast. I’m old enough to have experienced the wonderful first “Figment Ride”, as I like to call it.
I've been to both and they each have their good points. One thing you didn't mention was Castmembers. Disneyland castmembers are just better than Disney World's
In Disneyland, I stay there for a week.
In Disney World, I stay there for a month.
I can see You take over Disney CEO even better than Chapek and you could add The Disney World Attractions to Disneyland, this is a great Film
I love your videos! You had me hysterical 😭 when you screamed about the Fanta drink 😅
Dallin, we all know your number one reason why DisneyWorld is better than Disneyland and that's DisneyWorld still has a functioning People Mover
Boy, I can't wait to read these comments! Lol! (They are all the best parks, just in different ways!)
THE VIDEO RELEASED 6 HOURS AGO HOW U DID 3 DAYS
Hi find it nuts to complain about how hard it is to get into Disneyland when in florida there is literally a giant obstacle you have to pass between the parking lot on the park - the LAKE. You either gotta wait for the boat or wait for the monorail. Annoyyyying. And to park hop you can literally walk across the plaza. You don’t have to take a bus or a boat or a monorail or whatever. It’s just right there.
The reference to that other ufo channel had me laughing 🤣🤣 “fifteeeeeeen”
bro love your content, you inspired me to make disney content
Agree 100%... except #2. I'm kinda shocked u even said that. DL guests are HANDS DOWN more laid back than WDW guests. In FL, you can't leave a foot of space in line or someone tries to smash in or cut past. Crowd seems much less rushed/stressed in CA. Except at rope drop. They're insane.
Just want to add that I LOVE both DL and WDW.. and have never left either unhappy! WDW is more impressive. DL feels more nostalgic.
As a Florida native I agree, guests are a little more rude here, but hey this is Florida. All of the rudest people come here, take a big dump on our beaches and then go back home.
8:56 you know the funny thing is that Angel Stadium has the exact same system and that is just a few blocks away from Disney land.
I think that Disneyland is much more accessible and cheaper. You need less days to spend at Disneyland. Disney world has a more unique experience. Disneyland is a weekend getaway while Disney world is a more full vacation area. I have been to both. I do like Disneyland better than Magic Kingdom. I think California adventure is a unique experience you can’t get at Disney world. However, Epcot and animal kingdom are super unique. Hollywood studios Has the best rides but they really need to work on decreasing those wait times
As someone from the outside looking in, who doesn't live in America and has never been to a Disney park, World definitely seems more appealing. But I can imagine that someone living in California would have an attachment to Disneyland. I've often heard it said that Disneyland is a "park for locals" and that makes a lot of sense.
One of the big differentiating factors between the hotels and Disneyland and Walt Disney World is that the hotels at WDW are all designed to be resorts in themselves. Whereas in Disneyland they are hotels at the resort.
As someone who has visited both multiple times I think Disney World is better but for me the comparisons are silly. Disneyland being original, they weren't quite thinking of space and became landlocked to some extent while Disney World had a base and ideas to expand upon. Something that was planned and built to have more is obviously going to be better. I do disagree that DIsneyland is less laid back than Magic Kingdom. Go to Universal for a few days then Magic Kingdom and you notice a major difference as Magic Kingdom is far more hectic and when comparing to Disneyland, Disneyland is slightly less hectic because you don't have to work as far, weather is nicer, atmosphere is about as laid back as Disneyland park/Magic Kingdom can get. Epcot I agree with, Epcot is my favorite park and is very laid back and the resorts also add to the experience along with Animal Kingdom. California Adventures is fun and helped by the fact it's right there with the Disneyland Park and is a good park but doesn't quite match Epcot. Hollywood Studios as a park has more but not sure it's better than California Adventures dues to the discursive theming, it just feels odd. I don't have any particular loyalty to either place, because of how big Disney World is, how much is has to offer it is the better overall experience by far and away but to me like I said, comparison seems silly because while they both offer a Disney experience they are not and can't provide the same or even similar experience. To me Disneyland is where you should go if you are on a short vacation of two or three days whereas Disney World is where you should go if you're vacationing 4 days or more.
I prefer DLR but i worked at both parks currently a CM at WDW and still love DLR better there is just something about it... but yes you bring up some good points! I have been an AP for 28 years at DLR and now 2 years at WDW and that's not me even being a current CM lol!
No skyliner. No busses. The ferry boats are debatable.
Monorails connecting the entire park: every theme park, water park, parking lot and hotel!
Also a station connecting to the People Mover.
Hey Dallin, why is it so hard for you to get volume levels right?
Six Flags America thankfully has the bag scan thing. It was added during Covid.
One thing that they do better then Disneyland is rack up a sizable debt because they don’t know how to run a county
I wonder how much youtube crossover we've got between theme park lovers and spooky footage lovers! Gives me chills too!
Disneyland vs MK:
Big Thunder: DLand
Space Mtn: Dland
Splash Mtn: MK
Pirates: DLand
Fantasyland: DLand
Small world: DLand
Haunted Mansion: I say DLand, but they are close to the same.
Mine Train: MK
Carousel of Progress: MK
Peoplemover: MK
Indiana Jones: DLand
Mr Toads and all the other classic dark rides: DLand
Tomorrowland: MK
Jungle Cruise: MK
Dumbo: MK
Astro orbitor: MK
Phillarmagic: MK
I think the main reason I prefer world over land is because of the size. When i went to DL and CA, it just felt too cramped, there were to many people shoved into to too little of a space, like yeah, it was fun, but I felt claustrophobic the whole time. Also I have chronic Epcot of the brain.
I love that you did this from both perspectives
Disney world on top I feel like most people who like Disney land have a lost of nostalgia
Yeah
I’ve never been to California but I can feel for the Disneyland fans that have a home feeling at Disneyland over WDW. If I was at Disneyland I would still enjoy it but I wouldn’t have the home/family feeling I get at WDW
I have a desk job and not the most athletic person and I love going to Walt Disney World I didn’t start going until 2019 after I went on a Disney Cruise in 2018 well I loved it so much I did 2 Disney cruises that year and after a 3 day Halloween cruise me and my best friend went to Magic Kingdom for the day because neither of us had been. I feel in love with the park and planned a full 4 park day and an extra evening event at Animal Kingdom and going to some of the resorts and having dinner there. So I have since been to Walt Disney World 3 more times my recent was in October 2022. The reason I mentioned my job and and not being in shape or athletic is WDW EXHAUSTING! You got the 4 parks, Disney Springs where you will want to have dinner and do some shopping, the 2 water parks, which I haven’t been to yet, then each Hotel Resorts with their unique designs and unique restaurants. So you will need to be in shape or you might end up renting an Electronic wheelchair. I wanna make it to Disneyland one day because it’s the original, it was what Walt had a big hand in. Plus they have the Cars Land which we don’t have at WDW but I’d like to see the differences, some of the OG rides.
Being an East Coast-er. DW has always been my home Disney park. I really want to go to Disneyland one day, but this just reminded me as to why I love Disney World so much.
I have that same coconut shirt. Looks good!
10:30 that rumble got me so freaked out, I took my headphones out thinking something was happening
WDW without a doubt. Home is the French Quarter!
Every time you said watch the ferry's I heard fairies and didn't see any
I've never had the chance to go to WDW, but I've always thought that if I ever go I'd feel frustrated at how little I'd be able to accomplish. My Disneyland completionist self would definitely feel like I'd be missing so much
That’s why it’s a vacation. You stay a long time.
