wow! goosebumps! i guess the reason you have many guitars is that they got to rest a long time when they re being played like that, it feels like you’re taking everything the guitar can give you. I’m so impressed by how you can play 20 minutes and never sound repetitive and include different technics but never sound like it’s for showing off, everything is here for a reason. Bravo Dave, Im glad youtube exist for people like you to share their talent to the world.

As a massive Parliament/Funkadelic fan... This is my absolute favourite guitar piece. It never fails to reduce me to tears. Dave you cover this and add so much as other have said here. Just a masterful recreation but still yours never just a copy. You lift it to new heights. This was stunning. I missed your cover if this before? Brilliant Dave, a great cover of this knockout tune by the P-Funkster's Gary Shider and Eddie Hazell on the guitar. (edit - missed out Eddie in my original message through a memory lapse - he is a stellar guitar player and I believe he might have been the lead player on the original studio take - not sure, perhaps a P-Funk expert might advise me) It's up there with the likes of Watermelon In Easter Hay by Frank Zappa and Sylvia by Focus etc.etc. Classic stuff for sure and I hope to hear more like this from you in future because you are a superb guitar solo interpreter most definitely!
