    Greetings from Connecticut. Great video! Just signed the papers on a 2022 1025R TLB today. Such a capable tractor.

      Alright!! Enjoy! I am in love with it! It was a tough decision to actually pull the trigger but I have done so much with it and I know you will too!

    Great video. You do a great job on your videos. I just orded a Bxpanded thumb for my 1025r with the 260B backhoe. You have a beautiful baby girl.

      Hi Bob thank you so much! No better feeling in the world than having a child, we are blessed. Awesome congratulations, I think you will definitely end up enjoying it. I haven’t gotten to get outside on my tractor too much recently except for plowing so I can’t wait for the warmer weather to come and get back out!

      I just got notification that my Bxpanded thumb has been shipped. I'm looking forward to getting it.

    Love the tractor videos. I recently got a LS MT125 with the backhoe and they are so useful. You’re making me look bad though keeping yours so clean after every use!

      Ha thank you. Currently it’s sitting outside with some dust on it 😅 enjoy your tractor!

    I had same issue with bolt not going on past nylon. I called them and they had someone put wrong bolts in lower connection. One should be 7 inches and one 7.5 inches. They sent me a new bolt free of charge. Ordered and received about same time as you.

    Got the JD thumb and I HATE it! The farthest away you can get from the bucket is 90 degrees! ALWAYS in the way for trenching or stumping!
    HINT: one of the reasons the boom seemed weak is that, judging from the audio, you were operating at the slowest idle.
    When using the tractor, the optimum engine speed is about 2700-3000rpm. It was enough for me to lift a 4' x 4' x 6" slab of concrete; granted, it only came 3 inches off the ground but that was enough clearance for slow transport to another site on the property.

      I didn’t know that about the John Deere thumb. Happy I went with this one after hearing that. Thanks for the tip. Yeah I typically run around 2000 to 2500. I guess I need to increase the RPMs a little bit more. Thanks for watching!

    Shew. You gotta put them outriggers down before trying to lift something like that. New thumb looks great.

      I know, ha youre gonna laugh but I pressure washed the tractor after almost ever use and it was super clean that day and I didn’t wanna get anything dirty!

    Bought the same thumb and when I got it I complained about the excessive gaps for the telescoping tube. One was 1/2" and the other side was 1/4". I asked if there was some bushings that were missed in shipping but they had me pack up the old one, send it back and they sent me another one. Same exact issue. They are not very smart over at Bxpanded....

    I wonder what the boom is rated to pick up. But you gave me another reason I can use the grapple I ordered. Great vids. Like myself feel we are all looking for ways to use our new toy I meant tool.

    • @FrankDiNardi
      @FrankDiNardi  Před 2 lety

      I believe it’s 280lb max on the boom. Thanks! I’d love a grabber but gotta pick and choose what I can buy!

    Also be careful when hauling stuff with the backhoe because you can bend the cylinder

    You need some chaps and steel toe boots. That bar is so long you will cut your foot I’ve seen a few people do it and they run saws that is and bigger.

  • @nicholasproietto2500
    @nicholasproietto2500 Před rokem

    You should put the stabilizers down whenever you use the backhoe. Remember, when lifting with the backhoe, all the weight will go onto the backhoe and tractor frame if the stabilizers aren't down.
    Also, bo need to wash the tractor after every use. That's really a waste of time. I keep my equipment reasonably clean, probably cleaner than most, but I don't wash my tractors after every use. They're meant to get dirty.

    Is that bucket pin, that you had to tap tap tap in, a new one or do you reuse the old one?

    • @FrankDiNardi
      @FrankDiNardi  Před 2 lety

      I used the old one. It’s defiantly short but I was able to make it work and got it super tight. It has not fallen off

    It’s a completely manual thumb which means jumping off the tractor to manually adjust it. That doesn’t sound more than basically useful. I’m sure that the basic manual version like this are a lot cheaper though.
