Braun ThermoScan 7 features the new Age Precision technology which takes the guesswork out. Easily set the age of your child (0-3 months, 3-36 months and 36 months- adult) and use the color coded display to quickly interpret the reading based on your child’s age.

Get started with only a few simple steps. First, remove the protective cap or case from the thermometer. Then press the “Power/On” button to turn it on.
Once powered on, your thermometer will display the last temperature it measured for five seconds. Next, attach a lens filter to your thermometer by pushing the probe directly into the lens filter box and then removing it. Then select the appropriate age range by pressing the “Age Precision” button which will help inform the thermometer’s fever guidance system.
The fever guidance system will change the display to either green, yellow or red depending on the temperature reading of the age group selected. Once the age range has been selected, insert the thermometer probe snugly into the ear canal. Then press and release the Start button. Your thermometer’s ExacTemp® light will pulse while it reads the temperature of the ear drum.
Once your thermometer has finished taking a temperature reading, you’ll hear a confirmation beep and the temperature reading will be shown on the thermometer display, along with a green, yellow or red color from the fever guidance system; which accurately reflects your body’s core temperature, providing a reliable temperature reading. Now you can remove and dispose of the lens filter by simply pressing the eject button.
To change the temperature scale of your thermometer between Fahrenheit and Celsius, the thermometer must be turned off. Once it’s off, press and hold down the power button. The display will then show the different temperature scale options. Release the power button when the temperature scale you’d like to use is shown and a short beep will confirm the new setting.
You can also access the last nine temperatures that were measured by your thermometer by pressing the “MEM” button. Each stored measurement will be displayed with a number to help you easily keep track of them. The thermometer will automatically exit memory mode when no buttons have been pressed for five seconds.
This thermometer also has a handy night light feature where the display will light up for 15 seconds when any button is pressed.

Because their marketing team thinks one device can fit all age users, how smart are we?!! It will be my last braun device ever; so anti-human design!!!! Absolutely no user interface study and review!!!!

@braunhealthcareunitedstate2516 Thank you for getting back to me after 4 years. I have been checking this comment daily for response . I am disappointed because you didn't understand what I was saying. I just said the device needs to remember the last selection. Now, every time it goes to default, 0-3 months age. I spend more time as a kid and adult than time being 0-3 months age.
Why does it say in the manual to "fit the probe snuggly into the ear canal and direct towards opposite temple. ExacTemp will confirm stability and indicate consistent probe position with a light and beep. Then push and release the Start button."
In reality, this function does not appear to work, or I got a faulty one. The instructor is not doing this either in the video.
Did you also get the POS error? I got to use it for about 8 times. It then started to show POS. Even with the probe outside of my ear. (it should show "LO"). Anyone has solutions?
@@Winson06 I did not get the error. Actually returned the item for a replacement. Not sure if the new one will actually work.

Get wise - stop buying Braun products.
You're lucky if this thing keeps working after a year... Used TWO times, mine just gives P05 readings these days.
It's as if it was programmed to break after a certain time had passed.
I've stopped buying anything to do with that label.

@@pjmorgan okay but it’s made in mind for parents with children? So I think you could understand that and understand how important that feature is for young babies/newborns. And either buy a new thermometer or deal with it? 🥰
@@blahblah-ov5ev I've just bought this thermometer, in my view there should be an option to retain the age setting. It's made for everyone, according to Braun.

Why at 38.7C it shows yellow color?

i need to understand why mine when i put it into my ear it directly pipppp it doesn't wait 5 seconds and it never shows the same. it shows 38.8 and than 37.6.
Mine stopped working now it just flashes the greenlight and screen blinks on and off please help

How does one use the night light feature? Is too bright in a dark room and the beeping is also annoying at night and woke up my baby. Any way to mute it and dim the display?

Thank you for your inquiry. The POS error message indicates that the thermometer probe was not positioned securely in the ear and an accurate measurement was not possible. To resolve this, we recommend taking care that the positioning of the probe tip is correct and remains stable. Next, replace the lens filter and reposition. Stay out of the Healthcare business... you can't even make a working thermometer...
Before getting tricked into buying this PoS - I was under the illusion that Braun stood for "quality".
My bad - I now know that you make PoS - and polish them a little. That said, your name - Braun - suits you.
Braun and smelly would have been even more fitting... albeit perhaps a bit too on the nose.
This device is a usability disaster. Just about all the Features that it has is making the whole experience worse.
There is no way to skip the 5s last measuring time.
Additionally, at every start, the device asks about the "fever guidance" choice for no reason and is additional hurdle, taking time from start to measure.
The "night mode" feature is terrible. The display flashes in your face, so it is extra hard to find the ear. How did someone even get an idea that this is a feature?
Such a shame, otherwise a capable device.
