    Hello Josh, I love watching your videos they are very interesting. I'm glad you explained the Southern end token system. As a lifelong engineer I am rather alarmed by the fact that the four very sharp radii 90 degree corners do not have a check rail fitted? I would have done that from the start, have you ever derailed on any of these, or is that a secret? I have followed Modern Electric Tramways from its Eastbourne days when I lived in Brighton.

    Questions about Trams : what is your Best Tram that you like Driving at the Museum and Why?

    I have seen quite a few videos of people's train sets and the elaborate sets that they have in their backyards. But has anyone taken the time to build a scale model of the route that the trams take from Seaton to Colyton ,it would be a interesting project for someone that was retired and then have it displayed at the main terminal for visitors to see.

    Are the switch tracks auto or manual, noticed a few spring loaded ones on the paved areas.

    Another question! Was the boat tram the same one that was borrowed by Philadelphia for the 1976 Bi Centennial celebration?

    • @coops206
      @coops206 Před 3 lety

      The boat tram at the philadelphia centenery was the full size boat tram 603(ex228), on loan from Blackpool Corporation Tramways. It returned to Blackpool in 1978 but was never used again owing to the fact it was re-gauged to US specs. 603 returned to the US in 1984 and now runs on the F line in San Francisco, alongside its sister 605 (ex233), where they have been renumbered back to its original numbers.

    Have you got any trams from Blackpool

    • @SeatonTramway1970
      @SeatonTramway1970  Před rokem

      We do not, as we are a narrow guage line. Car 4 is based on the Blackpool Open 'Boat' Trams though!

    Christ: this promised to be interesting except that you kep banging on about bloody covid. The statistics simply do not justify the fear. I am nearly four minutes in and not a bloody thing about the trams.

      Please note, this was filmed during the end of LOCKDOWN 1 in 2020, and COVID was very much at the centre of even being able to reopen that July. After 50 years of operating a safe and welcoming tramway, we want to remain as safe as possible to allow that to continue.
