Hello and welcome to Lord Fenton Gaming plays Neverwinter Nights 2. I am your host Lord Fenton. In this Neverwinter Nights 2 base player class guide, I will go over the basics of these prestige classes you can pick at the start of creating your character in Neverwinter Nights 2. I will go over stats, feats, skills, and even show off these classes in action. This is part 2 of the two part classes series for Neverwinter Nights 2. The version I am using is the complete edition. As always like, comment and subscribe to my channel for more content like this.

Note: Before I do drop the timestamps, please note suggested classes are for people who want a pure edge and not worry about Role playing. If you want to roleplay for example an Halfling fighter go for it. Other than that enjoy the guide.
About Fallen status - If for some reason you go off the path of your class or Prestige class. For example, you drop your alignment from Lawful Good to Chaotic Evil of your paladin you will be a Fallen status. You cannot use most of the stuff in said class til you work your way back to that alignment. So be warned and I didn't cover in the video only in this description and sticky.
Equipment note: For those of you who want to know what to equip go with your best 1-3 stats. Please note also that if you have a +8 str belt and +2 Gloves they do not count as +10 instead only the highest is counted. So be on guard for it. I will explain it in my Don't Panic series on this game in the future.

Cool
Glad you enjoy the guide.
Dunno how I missed this video before, but glad I found it last week. This game definitely has more and better prestige classes than the first and when I saw Eldritch Knight, I knew I just had to drop my Swashbuckler for some magic knight goodness (though I'll still play swashie next time...or maybe after playing a fighter/frenzied, heh, so many choices!). Almost at the end of Act I now with a Drow Generalist Wizard (6)/ Fighter (2)/ Eldritch Knight (2) and I'm really starting to just roflstomp enemies since they can't hit me with mirror image and ghostly visage up while Qara and I can soften them up good with a double fireball before the melee even starts. Screw cleric fighters, arcane fighters forever!
That is really cool. I am glad they added the Eldritch Knight. Your rolling foes like crazy with the perfect setup too.
@@LordFentonGaming Thanks! I think so too! One change I would make is that I'd probably take a Necromancer or an Illusionist over a Generalist the next time I play an arcane character...I can't go as far as to say that I don't have enough spells, but one more fireball or one more mirror image would be great to have! Right now I feel like I'm resting too much or have to budget my spells more than I'd otherwise like. But otherwise? It's been great!
@@295Phoenix Most DnD games in the day was like that. Used x amount of spells than go rest. Baldur's Gate 1 to 2 is like that. Even is when I played early access is starting to feel like that for arcane magic.
Hellfire Warlock is OP as the name suggests, in the vanilla game you can just equip the Amulet of Health and become immune to Constitution damage, this was unfortunately patched in some class expansion mods.
In my opinion PrC pack is the only way to play this class despite the constitution damage. It offers Spells and Ranged attack Critical as well as backstabbing with ranged attacks and fixes Hellfire Shield to do the intended amount of damage instead of half, as reflex save for half damage is unfortunately reversed in vanilla due to a bug!
Besides you can do critical damage upwards of 400 damage in an area of effect greater then a fireball, if you build your warlock right! Warlock 27 and Hellfire 3 is all you will ever need. With DPS that makes Sorcerers look like helpless babes.
I tested this prestige class out it is so wrong and so much fun.
Smashed the subscribe button 👍😃👍
Thanks and welcome to the channel.
I hated the Dragon Disciple & Arcane Archer spell casting requirement as they are both exclusively melee classes, Bard is an absolute must for Arcane Arched build because it has higher HD, more skills and Inspire Courage for that extra +1 to hit and damage rolls and of course meeting the level 1 spell casting requirement. Not a fan of the BAB Requirement either, as you'd probably need a multiple levels i fighter or ranger. This class was slightly more useful in NWN 1 as you could scale your Enchant Arrow into Epic Levels of Arcane Archer, getting up to +14 in hit and damage bonuses from you Enchant Arrow feat, despite the bugs of not adding the bow enchantment damage as well as bow/crossbow weapon specialization on top of Enchant Arrow feat. If you removed the Spell Requirements from this class it would have been an absolute must for a ranger type build, however since this has so many unnecessary requirements and the level limit of only 30 what you get from Arcane Archer is very limiting, as almost any melee class build will always outperform an arcane archer build.
If your a fighter or not paladin more like it you can use the bard for one level and use the bard song for buffing. Paladins got the shaft on the other end since you cannot be anything but Lawful Good so Sorcerer your forced in that class for a Paladin/Sorc/RDD setup. The Arcane Archer was OP because it was not limited to 10 levels unlike NWN 2. The devs in NWN 2 wanted to balance some classes and capped some prestige class levels. I do miss the Enchant arrows feature you can abuse in NWN 1 in 2.
Fighter 13, Frenzied Berserker 10, Weapon Master 7 The damage potential of this build is off the scale. Barbarian 20 and Frenzied Berserker 10 also works really well and you get a little bonus to your Rage in the MotB expansion, literally turning you into an immortal killing machine. Its a shame the game only has level limit of 30, as NWN 1 had a limit of 40 this has always irked me due to severely limiting you character build potential. If i was lvl 40 i would have kicked Kelemvors teeth in and then putting his broken body into his own wall of the faithless. A fitting punishment if you ask me!
Certain melee setups can wreck the OC and MotB expansion which owns. I am bummed out that it was capped at 30. I think the devs for NWN 2 wanted to go more towards the D&D table top campaigns for level limit.
Is frenzied berserker, weapon master, or RDD/Divine Champion a better route for speed cleaving monsters with giant single hits?
For killing monsters fast or so I would say Frenzied Berserker for that extra cleave and temp stat boost while the Weapon Master is nice because your chosen weapon does get boosted by damage and critical rate. RDD is great for stat boost like str and Divine Champion adds Paladin like abilities to your main class. I would say Frenzied Berserker or Weapon Master.
Shadow Dancer is just the for the Hide in Plain Sight so lvl 1 is more then you will ever need as for the majority of feats on offer is also exclusive to rogues, in my opinion this class is trash, and assassin is better as it also offers you Hide in Plain Sight among other feats that are NOT exclusive to rogues.
The Shadow Dancer's hide in plain sight is all. I believe the ranger is not. Other than that you only take one level of that if your not planning on being evil and/or playing a ranger.
