    We run a fleet of 2.0 eco blues. We keep these on the shelf as the fail so often. Normally go straight to live data keyon engine off and look at the voltage from the sensor. 👍👍

    • @SYDiagnostics
      @SYDiagnostics  Před 2 lety +1

      Yep. As I did. I was just showing how it's done. In the real world its just a quick look at voltage. Seen them sat at 0.1v too.
      Transits keep us employed. Thanks for watching

    Hello Steve great video great job
    Where you’ve been a week ago had 66 plate Ecoboom Transit Custom 2.0 with DPF pressure sensor fault
    It took me a while to figure out as it was very intermittent fault which lead me wrong way
    The sensor was lying intermittently checked wiring voltages grounds everything everything will be fine for a while and then suddenly will give false readings and engine light come on restart will be fine again for a while
    Luckily for me at the same time had 14 plate 2.2 Custom in pieces with no front on it with DPF mapped out so checked and nicked DPF pressure sensor from it for testing purposes as it was same part number and hey presto and best of all both Customs of the same customer so swapped sensor to and it’s this day on the 66 plate one and I can call it a fix despite taking me bit of a struggle to diagnose
    Sorry for long comment and all the best to you keep videos coming 👍👍👍

    • @SYDiagnostics
      @SYDiagnostics  Před 11 měsíci

      if it was faulty then it'd either be mis calculating and always prompting a regen, or it'd not allow a regen.....usually a code willbe set too for conditions not met or maybe for the sensor

    I've got 5v coming out of the signal wire from the ecu, 5v supply and ground.
    I'm thinking the ecu has popped or the supply wire has joined to the signal wire down the loom. Any ideas?

    • @SYDiagnostics
      @SYDiagnostics  Před rokem

      5v on the signal wire from ecu, is that with the connector unplugged or plugged into the sensor

      With it plugged in im getting 0.4v on the signal wire on a scope, but when your looking at the live data from the ecu there is no voltage.
      Unplugged it reads 5v on signal wire same as the output voltage.

    • @SYDiagnostics
      @SYDiagnostics  Před rokem

      @@HMFDRAM so plugged in and testing signal at the plug you have 0.4v but no voltage in live data? Unplugged you have 5v on the signal wire? Are you looking at the correct data? As 5v unplugged on the signal indicated the wiring is OK and the ecu is giving the voltage

    • @HMFDRAM
      @HMFDRAM Před rokem

      @@SYDiagnostics that is correct.
      Om definately looking at the right data. I checked two other transits on live data this morning and they are showing 0.4 volts on live data and on my scope from the signal wire.

    Hi there mate I have just had my 2.0 transit go into limp mode plugged it in on my basic scan tool and it said dpf pressure sensor b ? Is there likely to be an A and a B sensor and will this method of trouble shooting still apply even if its a different sensor ? Many thanks
