I went to jail because a girl spit in my face one time, and I laid her out. I'm not saying what I did was right, but when I went before the Judge he dropped all of my charges. He said he was ruling it as self defense because you don't ever know what kind of diseases that person may have, and since it was in the face I had every right to do what I needed to do. I was released less than an hour later, and everything has been cleared from my record. Spitting on someone is one of the most disgusting, disrespectful things someone can do to someone else! Hearing that makes Auntie Amber furious! How dare they spit on our sweet boy like that!
Spitting is the worst form of disrespect! Do what you gotta do!

Eli is a good child. He shouldn't be going through that. I'm glad you are going to talk to the teacher and principal. Something needs to be done about the child who did that to him.
Its so sad that he has to go through things at a young age that normally an adult goes through. In my 41 years of life have never experienced anything like that. Yes, I was bullied but being called the N word and being spit on is unexceptable. I'm so sorry this is happening to him! I'm not condoning violence but maybe you should think about signing him up for karate or some sort of defense class to defend himself. Bullies at the end of the day are cowards!

Hey Tiona, you’re totally correct in this case.; go through the chain of commands. Teacher, Grade leader, Dean &/or Assistant Principal, Principal, District Superintendent, Board of Education. You need to find out who the Parent Advocate is for your District and inform him or her about the incident and the school’s reaction to the situation…God be with you always.🙏🏾❤

Hey T I'm speaking from experience I was a single mother raising a son. I remember those days. I know some people would not agree with this but I told my son to fight back. I always told him to get the ringleader and make an example. I also put him in Martial Arts so he can defend himself as parents we try to protect our children from this crazy world. I honestly believe that really helped. Now my son is Still fighting back for this Country United States Army. By the way you are a excellent mother.

Our dairy queen here in Indiana has a 4 strip basket, fries an gravy plus a drink an sundae for $7.00. I get it all the time.

How dare she say it had nothing to do with your son when her calling back a 2nd time stating just another kid spit on your son!!! Oh my God, First off make your son a Doctor's Appt. right away with the C out hear as well as other Diseases and kids are full of germs anyway. You have every right to be upset. That is total abuse your son is enduring with this being the first incident being words, now spitting OMG! Speaking with the Principal and Teacher is a Must!!! There is no excuses they can give and i get they have no control over other children however Consequences for such Horrible Actions Should Be implemented including the Teacher who called you and left you the first vm as if Spitting was no big deal!!! This is why I homeschool my kids. My son came home at age five, and told me his teacher called him stupid. He is twenty years old and still believes that to this very day. I keep my kids at home now. 🫶🏾

Hello Tiona, Elijah. I'm so sorry that Elijah, got spit on. That is totally unacceptable. As a Teacher myself, I teach my student's to be respectful to each other. I don't tolerate such nonsense at all. I know some children can be very difficult, and rude,but they only learn from what they see. I would definitely get that taken care of. And THIS is why I’m an advocate for teaching our beautiful black babies to HIT BACK when someone attacks/violates them🤷🏽♀️ we live in a society where you CANT raise a nimble, passive children anymore! This is why there has been such an increase and prevalence of children *unaliving* themselves over bullying and harassment. THIS IS WRONG! We NEED to teach our children that you can be respectful and STILL have some gumption about yourself!!

You’re so right Tiona. An apology I agree with but that bc Elijah deserves an apology. However what is the consequence for the kid’s behavior. Spitting is just as bad as hitting if not worse. I just knew that aside from an apology the kid would have some kind of consequence from the schools policy. Wow!

Girl I feel your pain, it's only been a month of school and my daughter's things have not been returning home. I've spoken with the teacher several times and she dismisses me. I'm creating my paper trail but this is ridiculous. We deal with enough as single moms and this is just one more thing to add to the list! I'm praying over our babies for the remainder of this school year 🙏🏾❤️

Elijah don’t appear to be affected by those incidents. He’s still himself playful, smart and kind. If you feel that strongly about it I’d go to school and sit in his class everyday until something happens. They are not going to tell you what actions they took with the other child or his parents. But I’m so glad Elijah is doing well.

Not sure how much Fall they still have in stock since they’re gearing up for Christmas now, but definitely worth a trip to check it out.

You should tell the Principal that you would like to sit in and observe Elijah’s kindergarten class. Secondly, contact the child’s parents about the spitting. We have found that parent to parent is a better route. Continue to advocate but also talk to Elijah about what is not acceptable - build him up. Involve his Dad as well. All the best.

I hope u get the situation with eli resolved. Also idk what stores you have around you but places like hobby lobby, 99cent store, ross and Burlington have had nice fall decor near me. Hobby lobbys fall decor is also 40% off right now. If you know where to shop you can find really cute things on a budget.

I would go "ABOVE" the head principal and set up a meeting with the "Superintendent" !!!!!!!! I remember when this lady's daughter was being "BULLIED" at school 🏫 and the principal or the assistant principal would not correct the situation!!!!! Her mother went over their heads and went to their boss, the superintendent!!!!!!! There were no more "ISSUES" after that meeting!!!!!!!!! You need to sit down with the superintendent!!!!!
Fall decor gets put out like right after 7/4, Halloween in August and late September, and anything after is Christmas stuff. They start earlier and earlier every year 😩
My 4 year old son got in trouble for spitting at school. He came home on the verge of tears. He said a little boy spit on him first so he did it back. I had to tell him it wasn't right and to not do it again but I was upset the teacher left out the part where my son was spit on first! I talked to my child but also had to let her know that I knew the whole story! Respectfully of course. Later my son told me he doesn't like to play with this kid cuz he bites and punches all the other kids. But of course, I was never told this by the teacher!

Teachers hands are so tied. However if the teacher could do a teachable moment about respect that would get a messaging across. You could even do a session on respect. I’m a retired teacher and times have changed so much with these craziness of the school boards. ❤

I would stay onto the school about that kid. That is so uncalled for. When my son was in grade school they did something's to him. I sign him up for a self defence class. It helped a lot! Because if they don't handle it now it will get worse. Do what you have to do protect him.

One thing i have had to inform my accepting of all children because i have made sure to expose them to many different cultures is of people that are racist, that with exceptance is also hate.
They had no clue so when they saw it they were instantly protected my children and they immediately had their friends surround the beautiful black child as if she were a Queen for them lol and she is still to this day a best friend to my children.
To support racism so young is to destroy their future.
