To make the lids sealed permanently and look less Mc Guyver (spelling might be off) use superglue on the spiral part of the bottle neck only, we never had an accidental opening with this method. We make these for years already on our ASS suport groups summer fest. We also add baby oil to the glitter ones to make two layers or add some hair gel to make the glitter sink more slowly. The parents and kids look forward to the repeating activity and want to try out more and more variants. Some craft feathers and a little glitter make the water turn into the colour the feather has. This was an accidental discovery which got replicated many times. We also make rice bottles with letters and numbers beads and small toys in them, so the kids can play I see with my little eyes games. The rain effect also profits from straws (as long as we can still get them) put into the bottle (cut a little shorter than the inner bottle width and stacked on top of each other) so the rice has a little resistance on the way down.
A little question for anyone interested: do you find facial expressions easier to interpret in movies (non animated) than when you're in an actual social situation yourself? Any thoughts? Thank you ☺
I remember the kids shows on Disney and Nickelodeon being highly expressive visually and that helped me in understanding some social situations. The more adult shows have expressions that are toned down and it's harder for me to catch a character's motive. If I'm around someone very expressive in real life, it is easier to understand their facial expressions and mannerisms than someone who is more monotone, with more subtle expressions, and speaks the same when joking as when serious.
Indeed. But you can stop the movie and look a bit longer, you can rewind and look again. Also in movies there are a lot of close ups on faces. This all makes it way easier for me to understand facial expressions in movies while in real life I usually don’t even look at faces.
That's alot of things, I have autistic spectrum disorder I have never been diagnosed with add but sometimes I feel like have it but I also have depression
I'm from Pennsylvania in the United States. Absolutely LOVE your videos!!❣️😄 They are really helpful with new ideas to help me connect with my son, and it's especially great to give him new options that he can discover. New items make it easier for him to rotate his inventory. Please keep making your videos because they are intrigal in my son's and my life 🤗😁
I use a bit of soap and water in the bottle to make the glitter flow slowly in the bottle. Wait for it to set and it goes clear and you can see the glitter
Have you tried making the ones that have some oil, water, and glitter? Also you can stick a couple drops of food dye in the rice ones and it will change the color of the rice. I think these are neat and I think you're super awesome! ❤️🤗 My daughter and I are looking forward to making some of these sensory bottles! ❤️🌞🌈🌿🌾🕊️
One thing I did the other day was putting fairy lights into a balloon and it’s great, the lights reflect off the inside of the balloon and it sounds cool when you shake it
Great video, thank you for caring & sharing... Watching from the USA. I made my grandson a sensory bottle with water, glitter, hearts, beads from a beaded necklace that I tore apart, along with pieces of colored straws & moving googly eyes, which he likes, also added a little colored oil, but will not do that again, as with time it don't look as good & difficult to see all after some time. I also used superglue on the inside sides of the cap to help stay on the bottle & it's nice & tight, lid is staying on seems to be working great & he's played with it for almost 1 year. But no longer happy with this myself as the view is no longer as good to see all inside, but a glitter one is rather awesome & fun... So many videos you can look up on making different types, as a HUGE Ziploc bag filled with safe different items for all to enjoy, if desired, smiles... Use flat toys , glitter etc.! I have liked & subscribed & rang the little bell, did ya hear it ringing? Great video, & can't wait for more videos on DIY projects, advice & reviews is always appreciated, smiles... 😘 🌹🌈💞🎵🌷🌺🌸😆👏👍💫🌟💛 ☘️ ☘️~"1 & all please take care of you & for others that need you through these trying times"~ 😘 ~"Love, Hope, Peace, Kindness, Dreams, Inspiration, Laughter, Joy, Give, Live & Let Live"~
My little boy loved the ones I made for him 🙂 I made them and super glued the tops on. We still have them. I enjoy them too. I am 36 and just got diagnosed with autism. Although I was in a special needs boarding school as a kid for "behavioral difficultys, but it took this long for me to get the testing ect just cause I was always just to stressed to do it. Great video.
I honestly thought this was going to be too weird for me, cause I've never heard of sensory toys before, but it wasn't. Now I wish I had glitter, or maybe I can improvise some, because that version looks like it could be very relaxing. I'm not sure about pasta, but rice or something finer might also be soothing. But I'm also easily annoyed by such sounds, so I'm not sure.
I am from New York state and I was told to use glycerin for my glitter bottle we had a recipe to go by I have had mine for about 8 years now when stressed I shake it
Is it possible to superglue the lids on or have you found that the tape just works best? I want to make some of these for a friends child who has recently been diagnosed

I definitely do
It depends what it is. If it is a comedy then yes because the facial expressions are usually more exaggerated.
I am personally uncomfortable when I see exaggerated facial expressions in animated movies but is more easy to recognize them.
Hope you are warm and healthy
Glitter!!! 😍😍😍😍
These are fun! My son & I made these for Christmas presents one year
Yay!!
