      No they did use the term correctly. Gender is the untrue idea that your sex determines your personality and your path in life. A male gender role is that men don't take care of the children. Clark was breaking that gender role by choosing to be a stay at home dad. It's a great thing!

      New Zealand introduced maternity leave for public service workers (which includes the PM) in 1948.
      2017: Oh, you shouldn't be taking advantage of a law that been on the books for nearly 80 years! >:(
      Also, it's a smack in the face to the deputy PM that the radio presenter thinks the deputy PM isn't up to the job of covering for the PM while she's on maternity leave.

    America is probably shocked that this happens a lot all over the world, where women can take their kids to work, my mom would take me when I had no nanny and her office has a space for us kids to play, even in my own office ; kids are brought from time to time and what's "shocking" to me to be honest was when my British boss who is a woman; brought her 3 year old son on a business trip, carrying everything with her in flight, no nanny. I think we should be more aware of the fact that these are realties of life. We work for our families to pay bills and what not. So why act strange when kids at brought to work.

Be it a daily wage earner or the PM, a woman has the right to have a baby at a time when its apt for her. She is an exceptional person and having her as a leader with an absence for 3 months is better than the country misssing the governance of this wonderful lady. Yes madam.
