Hi. I wanted to show you all some behind the scenes footage from my Sanctuary photoshoot with the incredible Thomas Cato and Johanne Danshøj, and the thoughts behind it. The vibe we tried to capture was late 70's early 80's, mixed with a futuristic superhero vibe. I found the outfit in a vintage shop in London a week before we shot the pictures, and it was just what I was hoping to find. The makeup and hair was inspired by some strong female singers from that era: Kate Bush, Debbie Harry and Madonna. The hair took almost 2 hours to do and I'm now considering to get a perm.. hopefully it won't ruin my hair completely ;) The makeup had a strong, very 80's dark liner underneath the eye and on the waterline. Something I've never tried before in my photoshoots, so that was really fun. The colors I chose for the shoot meant different things to me. The purple background is mystic and magic and the blue color of the bodysuit represents masculinity, something super hero-like, but also freedom. At the end of the video you can see how some of the pictures turned out :) Hope you'll enjoy watching it!
