Since the two #water sources coming directly from the mountain are beginning to dry up as they normally do this time of year, I turn my attention to #Oppenheimer (locally pronounced "OPENheimer) Run which crosses the south of this property and which I have never seen go dry.
There I will be unblocking a very important #weir which annually collects a big pile of sediment. I will see if I can use that sediment to raise the weir an inch or two but first I have to prune some brush that is in the way.
My name for the #bisse that comes from what I call Cort Weir (after my dad) is the Grand Canal, referring to that incredible work done by the first emperor of China.
