Hockling Gasthaus Introduced as Principle Project
Since the weather has become so hot and dry I will be turning my attention to probably my LAST major project here, short of my school itself. And it is a big one. I call the building Hockling Gasthaus in honor of my German friends. I use the word "gasthaus" because only in German, Switzerland and Austria have I seen buildings which in function resemble it a little. Under one roof will be many kinds of creatures along with humans.

I understand that problem. Here, it might be the same, but may work is small enough and local enough, that I can sort of ""fly under the radar." HOWEVER, I have been ready at any point to take my approach to a public forum -- letters to the editor or courts of law. I THINK I am ultimately protected by "Riparian Rights" which comes from English Common Law, I think. I believe the same would be true in Australia. In the American West, a different regime is in control which comes out of Spain and ultimately Persia. THERE water can be owned by someone far downstream. There, I would simply become an outlaw. By the way, I have put my four videos addressed to Peter into a playlist. I think this will take you there. czcams.com/play/PLuJbg6eLC7Y3Ui25hKUz0aFw6_iv4BL8k.html Thanks again!

I have no doubt that most of your thinking is very much on the write track. The opportunity i would like to make you aware of that plants on this unusual continent had to set up systems to prevent minimum erosion beginning but also facilitate an unlimited flood volume. This very old land had to solve all of the worst problems for a longer period longer than human existence automatically. Plants had to respond to all conditions and effectively produce a strategy that was sustainable. Things like salinity water storage recycling fertility in a way that it produced the optimum productivity of plant systems. Similar to your descriptions, water was able to direct contours that allowed both fertility and the water to be above the surrounding plants down slope. Where these were less available in our very flat lands in the plant managed layer would crack open relative to water loss hence an automatic system could store water without evaporation and place fresh water so that fertility would remain under the living layer meant plants could operate at the highest efficiency. The reason i encourage you to power your investigation would allow all of your principles to operate at the highest level for the longest time automatically using the energy of the sun, gravity, and capillary action so if well done sould operate by the artificial introduction of that whitch operated automatically for the longest time. Please continue, the world needs you. -Peter Andrews

Congratulations, you have been re-establishing what was a natural occurring process in Australia, the oldest continent that lacked the high mountains and inland water bodies that support climate. It is to be noted that for a period longer than humans existed plant managed this land to produce megafauna and the best climate by achieving the highest level of water efficiency. The plants, therefore are able to manage the water to cool the land more than the sea by atmospheric levels of 70% against 30% over the sea. Plants then achieved water storage without evaporation. In principle, it is very close to what you have been describing, which resulted in water and fertility moving in the root zone, achieving plant function at maximum efficiency. I fortunately, have had the privilege of working with the most rigorous scientists active in this area who fully understood the basic problems more than 60 years ago. There are millions of compounds and processes that plants had automatically maintained. This continent, with its huge biodiversity, evolved the flowing plants singing birds and two-thirds of the fish species. To quote an example, in the Middle East, they were able to bring the Tigress and Ufraties rivers together to create an inland port and the Garden of Eden. In simple terms, all past knowledge has not created a sustainable system that was automatically achieved by plants on this continent. I can not claim to have invented the systems but have understood the natural processes sufficient to support all forms of agriculture that were shown on this continent progressing from forestry to aquaculture. When a young researcher called Paul Anderson reported to authorities he was referred to as a breath of fresh air, that i consider would easily apply to you because you did not have this landscape to copy. -Peter Andrews

Thanks so much for getting back to me, Peter. I admit that I had to read your comment twice to feel that I understood it. You are obviously not only very well studied and informed, but also incisive in your thinking and eloquent. I am going to take a chance and go on a little with my "reaching out" to you -- a day from now. I have also thought that maybe I should call what I am doing "Reaching out to Watermen". "Waterman" is one of the old terms for the manager of a water meadow in England. They were also called "drowners". I would like to see if I could get some of those other notable "authorities" that I mentioned to respond to my different take on what Zach Weiss so well tagged as "decentralized water retention". In the meantime I plerk (play/work) daily with my irrigated pig pasture -- steadily learning and being amazed at fertility returning. The soil where I live is that of an abandoned village at an abandoned then bulldozed surface iron mine site, so you can maybe imagine what I am starting with. Weeds, as you have taught, are doing a great job -- especially that now I don't mow them with my scythe.

No new for apologies for minor "typos" we would pick out as the story goes on. Now, big errors might need explaining, That out of the way, we now have "The List" thrown into the pot (plot) and a little more about the mysterious "silk" and perhaps its importance to the plot. Again we pick up additional characters to the yarn ball.

Good chapter. Good learning more about both the characters and the scroll. Ms. Darcy is a real (although, fictional) "character". And, by the way, do I smell a hint of mimeograph ink somewhere? The visual images you provide are quite vivid, but the aromas at times are a little weak. If the "Taming of The Shrew" is streaming free, we might watch is tonight or tomorrow night (if free).

Another hit video. Your discovery of "Iron Bacteria" is quite interesting. I look forward to more on the subject in the future. Thanks for taking us along on your "routine morning walk"; it's certainly not what we routinely do in the morning (well some of you fans may).
