I found this info online about that plane, which is a Lockheed P-3 Orion by the way. This is a quote from the website- "Further searches shows that the owner bought the plane with the intention of turning it into an Airbnb in Sevier County close/in the Smoky Mountains. There was a major problem in that they could not truck the plane to the site location due to narrow and winding roads. The plane has been dumped on the side of the road on a gravel lot while they find a suitable location."

i first thought it could be a Douglas DC-4, but i was not sure about the landing gear.
The Orion was a Navy maritime patrol aircraft with anti-submarine warfare capabilities.
So glad they brought back the museum scenes again. Went many times in Gatlinburg.
Did anybody else love the fact there was a big lit EXIT sign right at the top of Jesus’ tomb?! Frickin EPIC! 😂

Hey Jacob, this morning I was eating breakfast at my local Truetts up at the counter, and in walked a guy and sat down two stools from me, and when I glanced at him, I had to do a double take and even a triple take. Why? Because I actually thought it was you! Knowing that you travel the country doing your vids, I thought maybe you came into my local area for a video reason. This guy looked just like you. Yall truly could be twins. I told him why I looked at him as I did, and he pulled up your you tube channel and saw your face and he agreed, that you and him looked very much alike. How cool is that! I also loved Christus Gardens when it was in Gatlinburg. I tried to go in it each trip up. I also saw the Southern Gospel Quartet museum when we were last at Dollywood. It was cool. I grew up on Southern Gospel music. I actually met many of the old gospel greats from yesteryear. Just to name a few, JD Sumner, Les Beasley, Glen Allred, Hovie Lister, Jake Hess, Little Willie Wynn plus others. It was a special time back in the 60s as a kid and easily able to walk right up to the gospel singers during intermissions and meet them. I definitely want to go to this place next time up there to see all three museums.

The people who run these religious wax museums knew Jacob the Carpetbagger was back on his home turf of N. Carolina and rushed to restore the old museums upon his long awaited arrival to Pigeon Forge. The wax was still cooling and the paint was still wet by the time Jacob arrived in town and started filming 🤪
That reminded me of a holy Carousel of Progress but with the audience in the center of the show being rotated.

Its an old P-3 Orion, Navy patrol aircraft, anti-surface/ ant-submarine. Several countries (like Japan) still fly them. Really cool to see. I was stationed at NAS Brunswick, in Maine were there was several squadrons

I remember Crispus Gardens being one of the og Gatlinburg attractions back in the 70s. I remember when I was 7 or 8 back in the late 70s mom and dad dragging me there. I don't remember much except them buying me a Jesus coloring book in the gift shop.

The Great Spirit sign is a remnant from when there was a Native American themed restaurant and gift shop in that complex.
All these attractions coming back, you'd think it was Easter!

That's a P-3 Orion. The Navy uses them for recon and also Hurricane Hunters.

The original owner had it shipped from out of state, with the intent of making a vacation rental out of it. He didn’t really do the research to make sure he could get an airplane trailered out into the Glades, and it’s been parked there ever since. They are looking for land to put it on to turn it into an Air B&B.

Mark Pedro is a good friend of ours and we just did the Passion Play with him on the channel. We haven’t made it to the new Christus Gardens yet but my brother worked with Mark in Gatlinburg there. We can tell you a lot of history on the attraction and the area.

True. What is nice there is that they try to explain, instead of trying to enforce their religion upon you. Which is actually what Jesus did (the explaining), while he was travelling Canaan.

That is a P-3 Orion. The navy used P-3s to hunt Soviet submarines during the Cold War. The P-3s have been replaced by the P-8 Poseidon.

In case you didn't notice, the tour guide repeatedly pronounced "Christus" correctly, whereas you made the common mistake of pronouncing it incorrectly. Although the name is based on Christ, the pronunciation is not "Christ -us Gardens". It's actually "Chris--tus Gardens" like the popular male name "Chris". It may not seem to make sense, but trust me, after being born and living in the area for over 20 years, that's the way it's always been pronounced in advertisements put out by the company that operated it. Glad it's been brought back!
As you note, the name and pronunciation of Christ actually derive from the Romans, who ruled Europe and North Africa during Jesus' days and some centuries beyond. The Roman language ruled science and religion up until the 15th century, and that is why the name and pronunciation like that stuck with us.
Is it comes from Latin, the proper pronounciation is Chris-toos.

It is an Orion, Military aka Navy, and the guy bought it turn into an Air BnB but they found out, too late, they could not get it up the road up the mtn. It sits at Dunns now. Local here. BTW, Dunns has some pretty good quick burgers.

I live on the west coast and have not had the opportunity to travel to the east, however I have relatives in VA and W VA and really would love to get back to the beautiful southern Appalachians. 🙂

I think the plane is a P3 Orion prop plane. It was used in the 1960s to hunt for Russian submarines.

No, the shroud of Turin does not date to Jerusalem. Definitely of medieval origin -- even The Vatican doesn't claim it as the actual "Shroud".
Evidence indicates crucifixion victims were tied to their cross. If they were (rarely) nailed to it, the nails would go through the wrists, not the palms. Cause the nails would tend to pull right through.
