You can pick up file folders that are not for hanging files at yard/estate sales. Cheap! I had a chance at about 100 for $2. But a 2nd grade teacher wanted them for a class project so I let her have them. I remember how excited my kids were about school art projects when they were young. I LOVE this file folder junk journal idea... now I need to scour the charity shops (too cold for yard sales in Wisconsin in December!). Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Hey Heather! I'm a new subscriber, 63 year old fly tyer and fly fisher looking for another hobby that will meld with what I have in mind. I started following a couple of other Junk Journal folks and collecting materials about ten days ago. Last night I woke up at an ungodly hour and could not sleep so I put CZcams on and this video popped up. I have built simple folders out of file folders before and this made me realize I can use this method in my project. So I am now subscribed and paying attention! Thank you!

I made this today. I had to rewatch your video quite a few times. Turned out cute. Forgot to put journaling papers on sides. I will add them over the papers I added somehow.. I love your choices of projects. You are one of my favorites.. 🥰❤️

I have some file folders I found in my stash that have designs on them if I cover them with paper for this, should I use thin paper or would cardstock be ok? I definitely wanna try this thank you so much for sharing this idea
You can use any kind of paper to cover it. I use copy paper so it doesn't get to bulky in my journal. Thank you so much for watching!💛
What size needle do you use on your machine?
They just say heavy duty!
