How do you waterproof the glass to threshold interface with the u-shaped bottom clamp, raising the glass up at least the thickness of the clamp? Clear sealant? If so what type do you use?
the threshold or curb stone should be angled towards the shower so water should drain into the shower as opposed to your floor outside the shower

@@fishynut8252 probably nothing to give it a clean and sleek look. Some come with little gaskets you can slide on.
Any professional will use a good clear 100% silicone to fill the gap.
The door may have a plastic sweep attached. But people usually opt for not using it.
I agree. 100% clear silicone. Even better if you can slightly angle your tile back towards the shower so you get runoff and for easier cleaning

Use wood shims to set the glass down and raise and lower the glass 😅
I’ve been a glazier for 20 years and please don’t listen to anyone saying use wood shims considering they don’t know you’re going to be leaving that piece of vinyl under there. Use clear setting blocks, it’s made for it.

You just remove the wood shims after tightening clamps lol. They aren't supposed to stay there😂😂😂
when you put that hardware on the shower curb, how did you attach it? I got a fabric waterproof membrane and didn't want to penetrate it with a screw.
When you drill through you fill the hole with silicone before putting the screw through and to be extra safe you can put some over the screw after it’s flushed down. That will keep the seal watertight and when you seal the panel anyway after install it’ll all be sealed.

How many conversations I’ve had about how they were told these doors aren’t waterproof, but chose not to hear it, is incalculable.
