    Much appreciated.
Cheap capacitor kit for simple repairs or projects. "China quality".

I've had the same PNY FX5500 since I was a little boy, and it's been in almost constant use the entire time. Currently running in the home server.
No power = no problems. It's the damn electricity which kills electronics!

i recently recapped 2 soundcards and had the same problems removing the old caps. i found the easiest way was to load up the 2 pads with leaded solder and pull out the cap. then reheat and clear the one via with your solder sucker(the ground via NEVER cleared out of 32 caps) trim your new cap lead so the negative lead is longer, add some solder to the neg pad and stick the neg lead thru while heating and then guiding the positive lead thru the already cleared via while heat is still on the neg pad." its a pain in the ass" is an understatement!! also pay attention to the polarity of the caps before removing. EVERY cap on both asus xonar sound cards appeared to be in backwards due to shitty silkscreening. installing nichicon "audio grade" caps to those soundcards made such a HUGE difference. i was amazed! those pads can take alot of heat and i had zero pads blowout.

    Hey Kev!
Fixed a ye olde Asus mobo caps in the power section to restore it. It worked; but had to rock the cap to work the leads out even after using lead solder. Then using a very fine drill to go thru the lead holes to clear them out. It all worked, and is back together and working. Not as though I needed this computer; but I did it just to make it work and keep in practice with these kids of mobos. Glad you brought this kind of fix up!

Can I suggest a fidget spinner?
You have a lot of promise as a drone pilot - nothing would ever manage to lock on - but please let the board sit still.

You need top flip it over more frequently. The 312 flips isn't enough.

I suggest checking the new capacitors before you install them. I've seen a few that were out of spec. new.

I usually do. This was just a cap I had to try before ordering parts. Good suggestion though.

How ever.... Did it work after this repair? You did not show it....just a component replacement.

That is why I called it a troubleshooting video not a repair. I didn't have the correct part in stock. I will update when I get the parts in stock.

If you put flux on a capacitor, does the GPU ASIC chip run at 1.21 jig-a-watt? Does the wall ever get fixed ? What ever happened to that Kevin guy? Did Captain Obvious notice that bad capacitor ? Are you a Yankee from Boston?
