Great video and great content! The real question is this tough: Who is paying for the rig? Unless you are a playback engineer, if the production is not providing a second computer and what you need to do a redundant rig, don't do it. I have been asked to provide a redundant rig so many times, but the productions wasn't willing to pay for it. Back up plans are of course mandatory when you deal with tracks and great tips are being provided in this video. Just be careful people, if the production company is not providing the gear ( or willing to pay the extra to use your gear ), don't put the pressure on your shoulders to run a redundant rig.
Can you run a redundant rig with 2 different versions of a Macbook? For example a 2019 macbook pro and a 2023 macbook air?
Can I run a redundant gig with 2 different versions of Ableton live? One computer with Live 11 and another computer with Live 10.1 ?
yes.. should you? I wouldn't
can you run a redundant rig with Dante? We run all of our tracks through Dante
yes! Step by step how to do that here: fromstudiotostage.com/programs/using-dante-with-ableton-live
