Cork humiliated. That is a scarring defeat Deep psychological damage wrought by limerick .Corks bouncy confidence comes from an innate pride , strip them of their pride in front of their people the effect is devastating The blood and bandages stuff is so deeply threaded into their psyche and to rip that stitching open with ferocious nonchalance will disfigure that confidence and brand embarrassment into their souls with hot irons forever

You obviously don't understand anything about being from Cork, don't forget it was corkmen who freed this country, we will have no scars, if we never won anything again I never ever want to be from anywhere else, rebals forever

@@johnoriordan7419 History I know a bit about, it was the best we could have got at the time, Collins did what nobody did in 800 years got the British to the table and then got the British army out of the 26 counties for good , if the north had been got (which was never going to happen) the Unionist would have fought and they were armed and willing to fight, it would have been a blood bath eg Yugoslavia, and ended in a stale mate, with hundreds of thousands homeless and ten's of thousands dead !

We would have beaten kk well if we played them but by god we wouldnt have got it as easy... they would have went ultra defensive, fought like fuck and upset limerick.. I'm delighted as a limerick man but cork were so poor , men v boys...coming back from 10 points down against tipp though makes this all ireland sweeter.. we earned it

Look Cork are a young team, bring great glamour to hurling, needed everything to go right for them, they were up against a very experienced Limerick team.

Very easy to see that, by away of silence and body language, the great Liam Sheedy regards Mark Landers as a bollix without ever having to say so, given what Mark said about his own crowd and has been hot and cold on them all year, especially about D.O.G.

Teams will cop on to their tactics, and refs will tighten up on their over carrying, thrown passes, and sly dirty stuff at times, like KK played in their 10 year reign...

Just because the handpasses look like 'throws' on tv doesn't mean they look like throws at the live event. I have attend live events & watched them on tv later. Something can be quite dramatic 'live' but tv has the effect of making it look much more benign.
Refs are not going to officiate games just to keep malcontents sitting at home happy.

@@sherp2u1 Limerick are getting away with these tactics because referees are not adhering to the rule book where Limerick are concerned. I agree very much like Kilkenny. Aaron Gillane quite blatantly fouled Joe Canning towards the end of the semi final last year. Not a word about it. Aaron Gillane and Seamus Flannery should be given straight reds this year. I agree hurling is a physical game but where a team is constantly being let off with consistent fouling is not acceptable.

@@neasacoyne2706 actually it is part of the game. When u get fouled u win a free. But limerick dont tend to give away many frees because they have such a strong mentality and ar so athletic that they rarely take the easy option and drag a man down they'll keep running and running like wild dogs until they win a turnover. In fact they scored 2 13 off cork yesterday from turnovers
