My first bike was a 2001 Shadow 750. I made 12" shotgun pipes for it that ended right next to the seat. It caused slight, permanent damage to the hearing in my right ear
Have the same on my VTX1300s , ride with a lot of harleys but those boys and girls keep telling me how awesome it sounds . idle it down a bit , sounds even deeper .
I have the same bike and setup and my neighbors literally hate me too! I had a woman come up to my house when the bike was started and she said your bike is louder than our Harley. I'm calling the cops! She did call the cops. I wear earplugs when riding this bike and still my ears are ringing afterward. That's the only part I don't like!
I have a straight piped fiat 500 abarth, side dump exhaust on my c10 pickup, and an old Suzuki savage 650 with no baffles. Just picked up a vtx 1300r and I’m buying these pipes soon. Best part is I leave for work at 6am and drive something different every day
There are exhaust crush gaskets between the exhaust headers and the exhaust pipes. You should always replace them every time you remove the exhaust pipes. Order them and get them in your hand before you start this install. they are a one-time use part because they crush to seal between the pipes and the exhaust ports. If you don't replace them you could have an exhaust leak an the bike will not run good. Also the slow jet should be changed after these pipes are installed. I went from a size 55 to a 52 and I may even go smaller. These pipes are pretty much for looks and sound and will not make your bike perform better unless you do some proper tuning after they are installed.
Mr Shaw I believe that I purchased your VTX in Martinsville Indiana, nice tho know that you took care of the bike, would you have any insight to issue that I might have with the bike. Let me know , i will send some pics if your interested. Thanks
Their are gaskets, but they are more like crush washers than a gasket it's up for debate if they need to be replaced I bought new crush gaskets but didn't use them yet but the exhaust doesn't seem to leak so I'm fine with leaving it be....
My 2007 honda vtx 1300R w/vnc/Heinz is bad ass,,--sweet potatoe, sweet potatoe,,lol.☆I own several bikes, new HDRoadking,triumprocket3,bmw,,etc."""my vtx is bullet proof for going around the Country "".every 3 yrs,,rebuild carb.♡
I have the V&H Cruzer Pipes on my 2005 VTX1300C and they are LOUD. I am searching around You tube for options for something quieter. V&H discontinued the pipes and have no quieter baffles. Be careful of the V&H- they are very load
sounds awesome! I'm going to be ordering a set myself. Did u have to have the bike jetted or tuned after the install, and did you have the pair valve removed? Just curious because mine is fully stock and was told the pair valve should be removed and new jets after getting the exhaust.
ToYsForTaTaS. I did the same on my 07, no modification at all. no jetting or messing with the carb. they've been on since 08, 30,000 miles later, no problem at all
I heard the same and had my ‘07 1300 carb rejetted when my Big Shots were put on 👍🏻 Sounds beyond amazing and no issues at all. I get compliments on the sound almost every time I ride 💯
one on the street at the end of vid sounded better. just kidding. I got the same exact bike but an 05 and I've been trying to decide what to do for 2 years with it. I've narrowed it down to these or the cobra dragsters. I like the slash cut on these but not the way the pipes meet. I think this is one of the closest sounding bikes to a hd
Bro that fuckin chops!!! Better than a Harley.
Exactly how my 2005 sounds! Love it!

I have the same pipes. Loads of others say they're loud, I thought so once too, but I think I'm just used to them now.. lol. Truly, I love my bike!

i love the sound of my VTX1300R with the Hines!!!
Yo your bike sounds amazing!
Damn beautiful bike, you take better care of it than the guy before me did, I'll have to clean mine up a bit more
Awsome rumble. Like how the rice burner showed respect and did not ride down rode until after you shut your bike down.
Your battery sounds like it’s dying
love that sounds
Nice bike buddy. I have a 2007 vtx 1300 R. I love it
Julian, where’s your drink? How’s Bubbles doing?
Honda makes the best vtwin in the industry sounds better than a Harley
I have a 1300C with the V&H...the neighbors hate us 😇

Not sure if all the neighbors hate me but one of my next door neighbors is cool and they like my cars lol
NICE BIKE MAN! Planning on getting one too
The muffler is very cool

Good video, now did you have to re jet the carb,
I have cobra pipes. They sound good but I think yours may have a better growl to it. I'm gonna have to compare. Sounds sweet tho

Do you have to remove anything to get to the bolts? Just got my 06 1300c and already thinking about new pipes.
nice
nice video. What is the V&H part number for the exhaust? Thanks for the help
Same color as my 07 1300 R.Not running since spring.
What kind of bracket do I need for the install, I got just the pipes from someone?
Good
Hey there can you tell me where you got those highway pegs? If you have a link that would be awesome!

Do they come with baffles?
Wear any leather jackets or Levi’s jeans in particular with your motorcycle??
There's gaskets they are a crush washer style they probably just stayed on the head and you reused them without even knowing
Does Vance and Hines offer baffles to tone down the decibels a bit? It sounds great, but I like a middle ground, volume wise

Anyone know where you can buy these pipes?
I love your southern accent what southern state are you from?
Mexico

Was it just me or after the first attempt at starting it did a bird make that exact same noise?

Nice... but way too loud.
Had a problem with mine melting the side cover
Too lean?
Same here, it was running to lean.
В гоблинским переводе было бы огонь
