      Bro, when the core (midfield) doesn’t exist, it’s hard for the offense or defense to thrive. All the forward players struggle because they do not have a proper #10 who retains and recycle the ball. UTD does not have a proper #6. RASHFORD needs Shaw or an overlapping LB to make runs taking players with him and creating more space. He cannot thrive with 2-3 defenders. None of the forward 4 (including) Anthony has the quality to make life easy and create opportunities. Garnacho is mostly ineffective than efficient. Takes 7 shots, 3 go wide, three get blocked, 1 go in. Makes a hell of a lot of bad choices. UTD’s issue isn’t just MR.

    ETH deserves criticism obviously but I dont understand why injuries at Man Utd aren't talked abt at all.
    Liverpool had injuries and credit to them that they pulled through but it was well documented that Liverpool "kids" won the Cup. Man City lost all 4 games without Rodri, their key player. Arsenal only lost the PL title last season because "one" player, Saliba was out. Newcastle's injuries have been well documented and Spurs's title charge lasted for only one month because all their key players got injured in the 1-4 loss against Chelsea.
    Its not only abt injuries, its about no consistency in the starting lineup. How can u expect patterns of play when there have been 28 diff backlines this season? Licha, Shaw and Case were the base last season. 2 of them have been out since ever and Case has dropped off. Even if the unthinkable happens and Pep comes to manage United, he won't be successful by playing Maguire & Evans at CB, Lindelof at LB and an aged Casemiro at CDM and lethargic players like Rashford and Martial. He wouldn't take the job in the 1st place because he needs "his type" of players, that's why he is still at City for 8+ yrs as opposed to Barca and Bayern because they can't keep improving the squad yr on based on his evolving tactics. If he would take the United job, Pep would demand a clearout and bring his own players like he did at City. Was Arteta successful with Holding, Luiz, Maitland Niles, Elneny, Pepe, Sokratis, Chambers!? No right? He built around Saka, Martinelli, Gabriel and Smith Rowe and the Arsenal board was competent enough to book losses on Pepe, Aubameyang, Lacazette and others and buy young players.
    Problem is media houses like these will "sensationalise" the situation instead of analysing it.
    No manager can be successful unless there is a massive clearout of players. Ralf Ragnick and Ronaldo weren't fools to go out of the way and speak the truth. I am ETH in but for those who are ETH out, ok, ETH must leave BUT ONLY AFTER these players. Can't have another good manager like ETH sacked because of these players, as Jose and Ole did.
    This cycle of failure can only stop if they stick to a manager, gain stability and identity and build an entire squad around him.

      Finally someone with a level head. I’m bewildered by the fact these media outlets never talk about the amount of injuries we’ve had to deal with this season. ETH has only been able to play what most would consider his best XI twice this entire season, TWICE. Not to mention the failed transfer window where the Man U board failed to give him his top priority signings again! (Kim Min Jae, Benjamin Pavard, Harry Kane) ETH is the last person to be blaming here, yes he has made mistakes and questionable decisions but you have to look at the bigger picture here there are deeply rooted issues at that club that go way beyond the surface. I will forever stand on GLAZERS OUT!!! GGMU

    • @3chords490
      @3chords490 Před 14 dny +1

      I think you are on the right lines here. The basic problem is that there is no synergy between
      back room staff , recruitment , manager , players. It all needs to work together towards one common goal. For example , I thought the idea was for TH to come and try to replicate what he did at Ajax , to make United the Ajax of the premier league ( like City are the Barca of the PL ). That means a style of play , tactics and certain types of players. TH has already admitted that he can’t do this with the squad he has , so therefore what’s the point in him staying if there is no big clear out ? It’s like putting diesel in a petrol car , it’s just going to get very clunky and disorganised. I like TH , but he appears to be the wrong manager at the wrong club at the wrong time. Unless , that is , INEOS commit to some kind of long term “ Ajax project “ ……and I mean long term ( eg it would involve the youth academy )

If you look at the list of injuries, none of those players are crucial for this team's success. Every player ETH brought in is either a flop or injured all the time. Newcastle has over 10 injuries and they still play better football than us and they won against Spurs yesterday. Even with Ten Hag until recently I was hesitant to say he should be sacked but I've got to be honest I've seen a few United games lately and they have been incredibly poor., they are not even doing the basics properly, it's an absolute shambles.They had their moments against Liverpool but it was only a fleeting glimpse of what the players are capable of - Which leads me to my point; The squad is not good enough to win the title let's be honest but they should be performing far. far better than they are and this is the managers responsibility. Man Utd had resorted to cosmetic changes the last 10 years. Sack the manager, bring in a marquee feel-good signing, reset the fans' expectation and there you go, again. What had been constant are the players. Not enough ruthlessness to ship out underperforming players, not enough guile to sell players, not enough expertise to build a squad of hungry ambitious players. The fat cheques are keeping these players full and unmotivated.

    ETH is doing some weird stuff with his constant selection of useless "stars" and some of his signings have been awful. You could sack him but the other problems remain at the club and will hinder the following manager like they have the last 3. Player power and the club being run by amateurs creating a losing environment with certain players having more power than they should have whilst playing like complete trash. Need to move on 70-80 percent of this squad for a manager to simply start rebuilding, let alone competing. Problem is Ineos and the Glazers have neither the intention or the resources to do this major heart surgery. It'll be more of the same, tinkering in the transfer window whilst players like Rashford continue to start. If Ineos are talking about signing the best in class in all areas of the club but are seriously considering the likes of Gareth Southgate and Graham Potter then they're even more clueless than the Glazers are. It's only going to get worse if they move for Southgate and keep the usual underperforming core squad.

    Players should always put in 100% no matter who their coach is, no matter what is going on around them. Like in any profession, it is about self discipline and integrity. If they down tools, they do so because that is their character. The likes of Rashford (and others in this team) do not care & it shows. But the club has to take a portion of the blame for paying obscene wages to average footballers who simply milk the system & without the right mentality, they are not self driven people, they just collect their money & go through the motions. It is a mess from top to bottom. I am no fan of Ten Hag but lets be real, when you have player power like that, the problems run deeper.

    EtH should be given the credit for the younger players being given the chance to play. Also in the two seasons he’s been at United he’s had to work under the Glazer regime, which has seen off all the other quality managers who have come in and failed. So the blame is not all on him, but rather the infrastructure that he has been working under. This is the reason why he should not be sacked, but rather given the final year of his contract whilst the new regime is being built. Otherwise the same thing will happen to the next manager who comes in!!! So why waste 10million on getting rid of him, it makes no sense to me!! He should be given the opportunity to see if he can get a better style of play and get into the top 4 at least or it’s going to be another two years completely wasted. So 100% EtH in for at least another year, imo he should get two more years, then we’ll see if he has what it takes. Personally I think he does

    1. Journalists’ jobs are to ask probing questions. Not look for cheap headlines and try and fish quotes for their agenda.
    2. Garncho’s liking of Goldbridge’s post does not exonerate Sancho. Sancho has a track history of this behaviour across every club he has been in, including his international involvement.
    ETH is finished. That is now no longer a debate. He is under enormous pressure and he finally cracked at the post match interview which is now available for all to watch. He has certainly sacked himself but it is worth reminding all that a significant number of this squad has downed tools and got yet another manager sacked. There needs to be accountability for their part - in some cases for 4 managers.
