    Nicely done, as usual - I was looking forward to this one, and it appears Toro did not disappoint. I'll look forward to your further demonstration videos. Thanks so much, Paul!

    Good to see you Paul, hope all is well in your world. After my little fiasco with my new Hustler I still haven't found a quality zero turn for the right price. But that's okay because it's been 108 here for weeks and all the grass is dead anyways :)

    Thanks, Paul. Looking forward to cost and operation comparison vs gas. I have a 21in 60V Super Recycler and would like to confirm time savings. I have my eye on this for sure.

    Lol $2400 for a walk behind has this world gone insane!

    • @PaulSikkema
      @PaulSikkema  Před 11 měsíci +2

      A little history. 15 years or so the Toro Proline 32-36 walk-behind's price had risen to over $4500 and the commercial operator's were complaining about the price. (Today they are over $6500) In response, Toro developed the 30 inch TurfMaster and sold it for less than half the price. The mower was a great hit and Toro then developed the TimeMaster residential version.
      The gas residential model was originally around $1300 and was a huge hit. Inflation happened and the 30 inch gas TimeMaster is now about $1699.
      The new 2023 30 inch eTimeMaster is $1899 so the price is comparable to the gas version. For $2400 you get the mower and $900 worth of batteries. ( two 10 AH 60 volt) Those batteries replace over 10 years of gas can, trips to the gas station, gas, oil, air filters and an electric start battery.
      Yes, I expect the Toro batteries to last. Toro uses the latest lithium-ion cells and the appropriate battery tech so they don't randomly fail like other brands.

      The prices period have gotten out of control. You used to be able to get the Exmark version of the mower for that price. But as for walk behinds, the commercial 32-36 inch hydros have always been 4000+ dollars.

    What letter are you setting your deck to mow ?

    • @PaulSikkema
      @PaulSikkema  Před 10 měsíci

      Letter D. I will raise it up higher to 4 inches when the grass starts growing again.

    I'm an engine man for life. Power always has to come from somewhere. Sometimes that power gets cut off. What then.

    • @PaulSikkema
      @PaulSikkema  Před 11 měsíci

      If the power gets cut off you won't be able to get gas either. The pumps at the gas station all use electricity to pump your fuel.

    Electric mower? Wat happens when there's no electricity to charge up the battery and you want to cut your grass ?? Your going to wish you had a gas mower screw the new green deal gas over electric

      Interesting... To take your comment further if there is no electricity you won't be able to get gas either. The pumps at the gas station all use electricity to pump your fuel.

      @@PaulSikkema very true but you can always drop a hose in the main storage tank and syphon gas out of the tank if you have a deep cycle marine battery with a pump hooked to it
