This is how I feel about it - the same people who complain about the app spend hours scrolling on other apps like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc...
Truth
If you want to make a living on bigo, it's like a real job. You need to work for it, 6-8 hours per day just like a real job.. you would usually work like 9am-5pm anyways.. so if you want to make money on bigo you need to look at it as a job

Yes agreed! It’s far too time consuming for the amount of beans that you have to get!!! My agency told me I was disqualified today after I stopped going live for 2 weeks.

I signed on with the agency for 2 months as well and didn’t make a penny from the app. I was just under 30 hours in my first month, so I lost interest after that. I was recruited by an agency as well. Definitely far too demanding and time consuming. I have too many things to do as well. I couldn’t even go outside and make a video live because the video would be too shaky without wifi or a selfie stick.
Its TOO time consuming if you want to make money! Your agency will give you $100 a month for 30-50 hours a month! Then the only way you get masses of beans is if people gifting it to you and the PKs! The PKs are only for people who already have lots of beans already! The family joining means nothing! You aint getting no beans! This got me appreciating Spotify MUCH more!

@@themoderndayhippie8149 Yea they do for any other predominantly streaming platform. I didn't mind that part as that is the only streaming platform I use. It does not cover most of the major platforms like FB or IG for streaming exclusivity. I was recruited by a casting director I know. He sent me straight to the agency for an audition to be a host.

I'm still learning about BIGO. No instructions in the app for us old guys. From what I've seen, there's more females than males. Many beautiful girls, many in hoochie mamma tops and short shorts! The live feeds are often girls just laying down showing what they can get away with or doing a slow tease dance. How long can they do that for an hour every day to make money? Some of those girls have hundreds of viewers. Although how many of those are bots? Who knows?.
There's some group chats I've listened to but not really anything to keep me listening. I admit that I can be curious about other people's lives though.
Then there's 2% of the live streamers that entertain with some talent like singing or playing a musical instrument. I usually pay them since I love music and appreciate their talent and the effort they put in. I'm curious to know how much of a cut the BIGO admin takes from that.

Why 30 hours a week? Can you please explain why your income was cut in half?
Ok so to make real money, you become a host and then you have to make 30hours like to get paid your full amount, if you hit your target that is. Target is 10,000 beans per month, if you don’t hit your hours you will get paid half. And it’s $400 for 30hours, and 10,000 beans. Don’t reach target you won’t get paid.
