Their are 3 types of friction they are :
1) static friction - the friction that acts between the two surface when an object comes from and rest position to move position.
2) sliding friction - the friction that act between the two surface when the object is already in motion.
3) rolling friction - the friction that act between the two surface when a rolling object depends upon another body.
