- Welcome to the inaugural Knit Purl Podcast! It’s taken me a while to work up the courage/get the equipment to film something like this, but I thought it was about time. This episode is mostly about my experience of the wonderful Unravel Festival, held earlier in February 2022. It was so much fun and such a pleasure to meet some friendly faces (special shout out to @_laurapenrose_, @JonathansDays, and @the.creabea, who isn't in this footage but whom it was still so lovely to see!)

Just to note: I’m still very much getting to grips with what my camera is capable of and what my audio set up ought to be. I’m open to constructive criticism but please be mindful that I am still learning, and so some of the audio in particular may not be as good as it could be. I’ll get there, I promise!

I came across you and was glad I did! Really enjoyed hearing about your experience at Unravel and your purchases. For future episodes I would love to hear what you're working on, maybe reviews of the yarns and patterns, tips and tricks, etc. On a side note, Garthenor is one of my all time favorite yarns, not only because of the quality, but because of their environmentally friendly (and organic) production process from beginning to end. I did a swatch of the Preseli and I thought it was a true fingering maybe leaning light sport. Would be interested to hear how your swatch comes out. Can't wait to see your next podcast!

Really enjoyed listening to your Unravel experience! Never been to a yarn festival myself. BUT I have fallen for Garthenor. Funnily enough I was planning to make a pair of fingerless gloves from my hank of Beacons too! Take care Sophie
