I was surprised they had beards. All the firefighters I've ever known were required to shave their beards for the job. They were allowed to have mustaches, but no beards. So that when they had to wear a mask, it would be a tight fit and not let smoke or fumes in. Still glad they are helping. I think i saw that this fire has burned like ten times more than the biggest wildfire we ever had in the US, and it's still going.
