Had fun rafting this river in spring high water over 100,000 CFS. Never had the courage to go down in a Kayak though. My Family friend Ritchie Cantrell used to do it in a Canoe.

Usually a GoPro doesn't quite catch how big the water is in person. When you went through Upper Keeney it looked big. It must of been crazy in person.

I almost had a panic attack when I saw Middle Keeney at that level for the first time... Lmfao it was absolutely enormous, and one of the biggest adrenaline rushes I've ever had

20,000 is crazy high. It’s more like paddling in heavy seas than it is runnin a river

Yeah, probably gonna be a bit before I run it that high again! I'm sure you could tell how scared I was during most of that footage by my reactions while paddling through some of that stuff. As a person who's paddled less then 3 years, I'm just really grateful I have the Potomac river by my house, so I've had plenty of practice paddling big water before this... I would have been in big trouble otherwise. Was also a major blow to my confidence to see the paddler with 10 times the amount of experience I had, get swallowed in the Buery hole and swim Double Z. Stuck to conservative lines after that! This video really doesn't do it justice, the waves and features were so big that you couldn't see any land whatsoever alot of time during the rapids, really did feel like paddling in ocean waves just like you said! Thanks for watching and have a good night dude

Lmfao thats really interesting actually! I remember going on a spree of War of the Worlds videos a few years back because I was so impressed by the sound design of the tripods. You follow one of my rambling comments to my channel? Haha either way, nice to have you here, and thanks for watching!
