The bit about the Major saying he called heads is really crazy, because the entire Schrodinger plan was a massive gamble. Either, they make Alucard truly unkillable beyond anything he was before, or Alucard enters a sort of limbo reality, which is what happens. It was a literal coin flip decision, and The Major called it right.
And it came about because Schrödinger literally cut off his head. That’s a twofer.
That line went hard as hell the more you understand it
I mean, technically he called it wrong, but it took a while and he died before that would become apparent.
You say that... He does eventually sort himself out. Post show Alucard can probably do some scary shit
But the coin landed on its edge
To explain what happened to Alucard after he absorbed Schrodinger, I'll explain it as best as I can. Basically, Schrodinger's powers make him onmipresent, allowing him to be both everywhere and nowhere simultaneously, so long as he can recognize himself. So when Schrodinger allowed himself to be absorbed by Alucard and his powers transferred to him, that conundrum was now multiplied by the millions of other lives and consciousness within Alucard, so with those millions of memories and lives he had to sort through, Alucard couldn't recognize himself anymore and faded from existence in some state between life and death.
the joke is "i called heads", but there is no coin flip.
schrodinger's ability functions on recognizing his own existence, which he cannot do while drowing in the storm of souls that is alucard, because suddenly the whole entity has schrodinger's ability, and none of the control over it.
as long as alucard has more souls than himself and schrodinger, he fails to recognize himself and vanishes.
They weren't sure that's exactly what would happen. So it was a gamble.
@@Yal_Rathol Because every screaming soul in there recognizes itself.
@@Yal_RatholThe "heads" actually DOES make sense, as it was a massive gamble. If Alucard always was able to recognise himself, then he would be unstoppable beyond what he is now, with no set number of lives (which he can collect from the souls of others, so he's still very killable. Difficult, but doable).
However, if he couldn't recognise himself, he would be stuck in limbo until he could, and with 500+ years of memories, he had a LOT to unpack. It was possible that Alucard may never be able to recognise himself, erasing him forever.
Nobody but Alucard could possibly know which answer is correct, but the Major placed his chances on it anyways. Each outcome was equally likely, hence the victory cry "I called heads!!".
@@Xeroph-5 Except the flip was very delayed and came up tails in the end. It was a hell of a gamble though and I respect it.
The show actually explains why the Major was a cyborg, which is honestly pretty badass. After being mortaly wounded by soviet soldiers, the same kind of dark force that temped Alucard the first time started to draw a lot of blood near him, so he'd drink it and become an actual vampire. He, however, despises the idea of losing oneself by absorving others' lives, so he just *willed* the blood away with a literal forcefield made of his will. Then the doctor managed to reach him in time, and since he refused to become a vampire the only way to prolong his life was making him a cyborg
I remember that moment, it made him such a great opponent to Alucard.
Exactly! Specially since Alucard in the original has a whole thing about how it should be a human to defeat the monster and gets pretty pissed at Maxwell's self holy monsterization
Way I understood it wasnt some dark force offering Major power but Alucard after major battle (prety shure its implied he relesed control 0) feeding on all who died at said battle. Thts why Major pushed for another relese 0 and subsequent feeding > Alucard is most vurnable at that moment ergo Shrodinger wilingly feeding Alucard to hopefully unmake him.
The "Lock you in a crate and ship you to Abu Dabi" and "Every Monday with you!" was a reference to the Garfield comic strip. After the strip introduced a 'cute' new character named Nermal, Garfield would routinely lose patience with the overly adorable younger cat, seal him in a crate, and ship him to Abu Dabi. Fun little reference, if you're old enough to know it.
Yes, this IS a Garfield reference!
I thought Nermal was female for a looong time. I think it had to do with watching the cartoon too much as a kid and Nermal's VA sounded like a little girl.
@@Ravenforce3 Not going to lie, I thought the same for the longest time for the same reason. My brain just did not absorb the fact that Nermal was referred to as he in the cartoon, I just heard the voice and that was that. Then one day I was reading the newspaper for a class project, hit the funnies, and saw the "he" in there and was like... "Wut?"
And just like everyone else, they don't notice the "Walter is in Brazil." part.
Tis an underrated joke, but I always notice!
I dont get it. Explain please
its a good way to foreshadow for how long he was working with them as the abridge version doesnt have the scene were Walter gives Alucard his iconic black gun which was the OG hidden tell - as Alucard has that gun on him the whole time after that point onwards meaning the hidden bomb Walter detonates in their battle had to have been there from the start/plus the whole Walter "forgetting" he and Alucard fought the Millenium group and their attempts to make vampires during WW2 when Intra asked him about knowing any organized group powerful enough behind the valentine brothers attack.
@@nicobaumann2832 And in the Abridged universe, Integra said Alucard can take a vacation anywhere, other than Brazil. When someone from the organization goes to Brazil, things go bad.
Of course, that was also a ruse to get him to Brazil, as they know he will defy her wishes any chance he gets, to assert dominance, but the original point stands. Integra has reasons for not wanting people to go to Brazil.
I noticed that they missed some good jokes
32:32 - That was a tape recorder. She recorded his dying breath just like Queen Betty wanted.
Indeed. That was a recording for Sugarlips.
I never caught that. That's funny.
never noticed that. lol
Alucard wrecked her like Diana one last time
@@mrroboshadow ... ... into a wall?
"So Arthur's an *actual* daddy now..." So much to unpack there lmao
Also the fact that when Arthur became Alucard's steward he was probably still in the little girl form
@@matijasostojic4288 yeah. Arthur and Alucard were fuckin
@@stardmg no way 😭
38:45 fun fact. That's penguin0 or charlie. Love that he voiced a random soul.
Omg I can hear it now. I had no clue for years lmao.
They're all cameos, the next one is Akidearist
I F*CKING KNEW I WASNT GOING INSANE! I Thought i heard that voice somewhere!
The doktor is the reason the major is a cyborg, he saved his life years ago and that's just how he kept him alive.
Aw, he Ship-of-Theseus’d him.
So much for a glorious ‘death.’
Girlycard was voiced by younger sister of Alucard VA, and he wasn`t happy about it because of all these moans
Not only that, but it made Taka abandon his characters romantic subplot in their dnd game because his sister is also the DM xD
@@aCatNamedGarbageyeah I'd gander that'd be uncomfortable
Where'd you hear this? Not saying you're lying, it just sounds weird he'd set up something he wasn't happy about... wasn't he a writer and also co-director with Scott for this series?
@@stardmg Not necessarily that he wasn't happy about it, just that hearing her say that makes him uncomfortable. Pretty sure anyone who has a sister would react the same. The only tfs content I have watched is this series so I can't give you an example, but on pretty much every video I see regarding these last two episodes I see someone commenting this, and that his sister will do the voice every once in a while to mess with him
@@stardmg Probably Taka his streams. He often brings up stuff from the TFS projects.
Also, Taka was the main producer of Hellsing ultimate. With Scott helping him with writing and editing.
It was his show first of all but like all TFS shows, its a joined effort.
That shot of Seras is pretty infamous for being a *very* gratuitous pantyshot, so they went even further and made her accidentally go commando lol
Can’t believe they talked over that iconic line too and didn’t let it play on screen. 😞
ALUCARD/SHRODINGER EXPLANATION: So many people can't grasp what happened. So here's a quick and easy explanation: Millenium knew that defeating alucard has a 0% success rate. They literally couldnt. So they created a vampire that could either exist, or not exist, based on whether it was observed. A 50/50 chance. When alucard consumed shrodinger, all the souls inside of him could also see shrodinger, so shrodinger must either exist or not exist. And as Alucard also takes the powers of those he consumes... same goes for him. So suddenly, as he was observed by the souls within him, ALUCARD suddenly can only exist or not exist. 50/50. So while millenium had a 0% chance of getting rid of alucard, now they have a 50% chance of him just vanishing from existance. They did ALL of this... for a 50% chance. As the major said: "I called heads." He gambled. He won.
Didn't the major explain it
@@cracyzero777rat He did, but so many people still get confused by it. The proper Ultimate series takes some time to develop Schrodinger, so it is less confusing there.
They were lucky he took as long as he did to return, because he was totally invincible by the time he did. He'd finally taken control of Schrodinger's own soul and paradoxical powers. So, Alucard could now simultaneously exist and not exist.
It's the ultimate irony: they knew they couldn't defeat Alucard, so they tried to use someone else's paradox powers to trap him in limbo. But in doing so, they only helped him power up further.
I wish the manga had still continued, if only to see how Hirano would've tried to up next villains' level.
Fun fact
In WW2 when Alucard and Walter worked together they tagged teamed the werewolf and the wolf actually soloed them
They had to retreat from him
He actually went easy on Seras since he wanted to die
I believe TFS got a lot of the plot pretty well across, but they did change some of the characters quite a bit. In the shows, Aucard is the serious one and Searas is the comic relief, the shows tend to take themselves pretty seriously where this one doesn't, and finally I believe this was TFS's Halloween Specials.
Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate are basically an FMA FMAB situation. First series was popular but changed the story. Second series follows the manga and improves the animation.
...And also completely butchers the early chapters because anyone who watches the later must be a fan of the former, right ? thus some of the best scenes and character development are stuck in the "inferior" version whilst the shiny one skips entire beats to get us through the motion and get to "the good part" quicker...
Hellsing Ultimate isn't even an anime, but an OVA series:
Original Video Animations.
These are anime movies for TV (later released on DVD), that adapt a handful of chapters each:
The first Jojo anime in 1993 was a thirteen-episode OVA series, adapting Stardust Crusaders.
Hunter x Hunter's Greed Island arc also got its own OVA series in 2003
With Hellsing Ultimate they stuck a lot closer to the manga: it covered all chapters in 10 hour-long OVA's animated by Madhouse Studio.
The opening scene of Episode 9 uses footage from the 2001 anime adaptation of the series. Unlike this series, which was an OVA series animated by Madhouse (longer episodes around 44-60 minutes), this first adaptation was a standard 13-episode anime animated by Gonzo. However, since the manga had only just begun in 1998, the 2001 anime quickly diverted from its story and went into its own storyline with its own ending, similar to other anime that got too close to their manga like Soul Eater and Fullmetal Alchemist (the 2003 series).
To be fair, I think the 2001 anime is better story wise.
@@hunterackerman1697 well, it's okay to be wrong
I love the first anime soundtrack. It is so different to listen to. Bodhisattva Cathedral is my favourite song. The animation and following the manga story make the OVAs amazing but in my opinion the anime had the best soundtrack. They use a lot of the songs in the abridged.
13:45
Hellsing Ultimate was a 10 episode OVA. Each episode was around an hour long. Hence why there is so much material per video. They had an hour to work with for each episode.
So it was basically a it was 27 episodes long.
So an interesting thing about this abridged version is that it was supposed to be a one-off Halloween special directed by Takahata101, Alucard’s abridged voice actor; however it got so much popularity they turned it into a yearly special for October. They actually didn’t know what personality to give Alucard until like the third episode so they just kept the cheeky smartass part from the last two as a basis.
I’m just gonna let ya know, Schrödinger is a catboy, not a catgirl.
"Is that boy-girl bugging you?"
they actually say it several times in the show but the guys I guess refuse to believe that lol.
He is, but isn't at the same time.
Return of the why boner
He does mention that Seras and him "would make beautiful children."
If you’re wondering the truth of Walter’s betrayal and transformation: he did work with Alucard back in WW2, but he was obsessed with killing vampires and the biggest one of all, his ultimate prize, was beyond his reach due to their alliance. So he long felt like he lost his chance after Alucard was locked away again and Walter was no longer in his prime, not to mention that the #LifeHack was in the way. So when the Major stepped in and told him “Hey, I figured out how to turn off the cheats by tricking Alucard into expelling every soul he ate and give you a fighting edge”, Walter took his long awaited shot.
As for the reverse aging process, becoming a vampire surgically returns you to your prime, but it takes time. The process was severely rushed for Walter in this case, causing the anti-age thing to go into overdrive until he de-aged into dust (though Heinkel got the last shot in the abridged version).
So a quick explanation: Warrant Officer Schrödinger can be anywhere and no where, and he can only exist as long he is self aware. Since hes mind got mix with 3 million others souls, he was no longer self aware of hes existence, and since Alucard gain other vampires powers he sucks inside of him, that down side of Schrödinger power also affect him.
This also stands as one of thous rare moments when villain actually wins. Even if its just temporary.
Fun fact: in this version, Alucard spent 30 years basically being a therapist to the souls he consumed before being blipped into oblivion. In the manga and OVA, it wasn’t as wholesome…he spent 30 years killing each and every soul in order to get back home, hence Integra’s comment on “couldn’t you have just killed them all?”
Thanks for this.
So, context:
When Integra when to school, Alucard went with her in that form and Walter mistook him for a girl, leading to lots of teasing.
And yes, Alucard killed every other soul in the original, losing his life-hack, but gaining cat boy powers.
Fun fact: the voices of both Alucard and "girl Alucard" are actually siblings!
Takahata has a sister
@@snipersougo13 They were wise to hide her from us; now their failure is complete.

The traitoro joke just gets me everytime. Can't say why.
Can’t wait for you to react to the original. Also never realized just how short this series was.
Always felt longer as ya know they came out yearly.
It's not that short if the episodes where the lenght of normal anime episodes it probably would be a 24 ep anime
I don't think the adaptation of 100 episode manga is sshort though
The Queen asked Integra to record Major`s death and as we can see Integra didn`t forget about it
The Major being a cyborg was essentially him wanting to retain his humanity in order to defeat Alucard as Alucard proclaims only a human should end him
So basically they beat Alucard with quantum. Schrodinger's Cat is a thought experiment about how a given part of the universe might not be in a settled, definite state unless it's observed directly - that's why the catboy kept disappearing everytime nobody was looking, even after he was killed. Dead and alive at the same time. But when Alucard consumed him, he became aware of him, and absorbed his powers - including that Quantum Bullshit. So Alucard observed himself, and accidentally noped out of existence until he could get a handle on it.
They do explain why he a cyborg was that when the Russian took Berlin the major was beaten to death and left to die and was offer to take hell gift and become a vampire. Through pure human will he rejected the gift and the Doctor came and save his life making him a cyborg
I only just noticed that they reversed the explanation of Schrodinger's powers to match the actual paradox. It's actually that Schrodinger's powers make it so he's always simultaneously "everywhere and nowhere", and wherever he chooses to recognize himself to be is where he appears physically.
The reason he appears and disappears (and dies and lives) at will is because the moment he loses awareness of himself he turns into "imaginary numbers"; so all he's doing is shifting his awareness of himself to another location. The problem for Alucard is that he needs to be aware of Schrodinger's existence in a given location, or he turns into "imaginary numbers" (the major's description), and he has three million other souls making that difficult.
There was something special about waiting every October/Halloween for this.
And then the anime given us two episodes in the same year (9 and 10) that was magical 🥲
Alucard and Integra were already a power couple in the original but they really emphasize it in the abridged and I love it.
Fun fact the number of dead is actually the amount of subscribers TFS had at the time
The Abridged version didn't explain it well, but Schrödinger only exists as long as he's aware of himself. When Alucard absorbed him, he was mixed in along with the millions of other souls Alucard consumed, so he could no longer recognize himself and ceased to exist. And since he had become part of Alucard, Alucard ceased to exist too. He had to rid himself of all the other souls inside him except Schrödinger in order to gain self-awareness again in order to return to reality.
Schrodinger is unique among the cast, and among anime characters in general, for being a living physics paradox.
What's funny is that ,on the long run, this only powered up Alucard further.
It took him thirty years, but he got rid of all 3 million souls, and took control of Schrodinger's.
Now with paradoxical omnipresence powers, able to simultaneously appear nowhere and anywhere, Alucard was oficially invincible.
I f*cking love the major.
Such a fun character 🤣
His actual "I love war" speech is fucking great.
The captain (aka werewolf dude) wants to die. Like the major said earlier they want glorius deaths. That is why cheers when Seras kills him, a d also gives her the means to kill him
I would explain what happened with Alucard disappearing but best for you to watch the anime it is well worth the watch and watching you guys react to this series was a treat glad you guys enjoyed it all the way through
Alucard/Dracula was captured by Dr Van Hellsing, trapped in their deepest dungeon for generations, and it was their ''Trump Card'' in a way, to slaughter any supernatural threat that was too big for them to handle, but he actually fell for Integra, it's implied she remained a virgin so that Alucard could turn her someday, a human can only be turned if they're a virgin in Hellsing, or givning a normal person some Vampire DNA, but in this case, they won't have supernatural abilities like Alucard or Seras.
My favorite is Alucard's line in Ep. 8 about how it's only been a few days but it feels like years, in reference that Takahata101, who originally was doing the abridged outside of Team Four Star, wasn't able to work on it for that long because of other matters. Nice little meta reference.
I mean, it's because the time between episode 4 released (the last time he'd seen Anderson) and 8 released was 4 years.
Fun fact: professional VAs were part of this.
Van Helsing was voiced by Christopher Sabat (Piccolo, Vegeta, Zorro, Arthur Watts)
Heinkel was voiced Kira Buckland (Jolyne Kujo, Setsuna)
If you want to go deeper down the abriged route goblin slayer abriged and s.a.o are both fantastic.
Edit.. in hindsight you're better off with Goblin Slayer because Sao is very 50/50 about copyright.
I agree with this 100%, both series are hilarious
Did someone say... GGGGYYYYYYAAAAAAWWWWWBLLLIIINNNNNS?!
Personally I'd send them to Code Ment and None Piece
Goblin Slayer Abriged is meh. Some parts are genuinely funny, but it loses steam after a few episodes in. Also, (spoilers incoming) the Abridged Goblin Slayer's tirade about Sword Maiden having to be "stronger" in the face of being captured, tortured, and r*aped left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not saying I would (or do) judge people for enjoying it. I just don't think it's as funny as people say, and that scene was pretty fucked.
@@richardsinclair7661 he was more criticizing her for putting others in danger and tricking them instead of actually getting help directly.
All the female lines from Gal-ucard

Apparently, with some of the lines that she gives, he asked her to never say them again again like that.
Yep! He rewatched it on his Twitch channel and even with a v-tuber model, you could FEEL how uncomfortable he was
Huh. I could have sworn they included the Majors backstory in the abridged version. Guy is basically the polar opposite of Alucard. He despises the idea of giving up his humanity so much, he force of willed the devil away to reject becoming a vampire like Alucard when he was dying in WW2. He extended his life with cybernetics just to get a chance at killing Alucard, the most disgusting example of a human in his eyes.
(Alucard even agrees with the Major: it's why he got so mad at Anderson becoming a monster to try and kill him)
Schrödinger’s cat is an experiment that involved putting a cat in a box with a concealed container of poison and closing the box for one hour. Within that hour, the container of poison is rigged to open at a random point in that time and will fortunately kill the cat.
The point of the experiment is that while no one knows when the container will open, they also don’t know whether the cat is dead or alive. In that spend of one hour, the cat can be considered both dead and alive, only by knowing the outcome by opening the box.
In hellsing, officer Schrodinger has been killed, but they can only stay dead as long as they’re being observed, if not observed they are considered both dead and alive, allowing them to remain alive
Fun fact, the number of people Alucard was “getting some sip” from was the exact number of subscribers Team Four Star had at the making of the episode. Also, SAO Abridged is done by Something Witty Entertainment and both companies occasionally collab with each other, for example, one of the members of the Vatican at the end was the same guy who voices Kirito and in SAO Abridged, the two main story villains were voiced by Taka and KaiserNeko
+ Becky, the definitely not racist soul Alucard talked to, was most likely the voice actress for Asuna in SAOA.
If y'all watch the full video of the Alexander Anderson song, tack-on the Helsing Christmas Special to the end of that!
The bit with integra giving the order to attack Walter is so good in the series. Her phrase was ' search and destroy'. Meaning let loose to Alucard. He asked her to say it, to order him to kill Walter. Even Walter demanded she say it so did the general
btw while the actual series only has 10 episodes each episode is between 40-50~ minutes so theyre not your average 20-25 minute episodes so despite there only being 10 it does a really good job pacing things.
compared to the original adaptations 13 20 minute episodes.
One of the things I love most about this series is that, because of it's long release schedule, the folks making it had so much time to grow. You can tell that the first episode has that "dbza season 1" feeling, like they were just padding the runtime with jokes and references that were funny at the time, but by episode 10 it's damn-near it's own purposeful interpretation of the original series.
So as yet another attempt at explaining what exactly happened:
Schrodinger's cat, as Big Bang Theory fans will know, it's a paradox in which something can have infinite possibilities as long as you don't get a clear answer, in the theory of that name, if you put a cat in a box and leave it there, is it alive or not? Is it even still in the box? Only by acknowleding the box and then opening it, you know the result. It's a simple explanation, but bare with me. That's essentially how and why he was able to get killed and just appear/dissappear somewhere else
The Major's entire plan was to defeat Alucard, that is the canon reason for his existence in the show, to beat the ultimate OP character, and the only way to do so was to force Alucard into absorbing the souls of everyone who died in this war, and during his "BIG SIP", Schrodinger would kill himself and fall into the blood, without Alucard's notice. So when both of them connected, Alucard would begin to question his existence and the most likely result given the millions of souls inside of him, he would not be able to acknowledge himself, causing him to banish for 30 years until he was able to find himself.
Problem is, again following the paradox, he didn't dissappear out of existence, he couldn't acknowledge his own existence. So in both Abridged and canon, what ends up happening is that Alucard spends 30 years getting rid of all the souls he absorbed, the only difference being that in Abridged, Alucard has a soul (vampires don't have one), and he helped the souls find peace (In OG he just kills them), with the only soul left being Schrodinger's, giving him his ability and thus, an even stronger #LifeHack since now, he has INFINITE lives. He just cannot die ever again. He is now really inmortal.
Maybe not something for you guys to do for the channel, but yall should watch the commentary video TFS did for Hellsing Abridged-- they cover loads of behind the scenes stuff like jokes that didn't make it into the series, stuff about Hellsing itself, actual industry voice actors who lent their voices for parts in the show, and so much more.
For the schrodinger bit, everytime they were killed the moment no one was observing them they lived again in a perpetual state of living and death. But once alucard ate them, they could no longer exist in that fluctuating state and so it was a coin flip between they exist, or they don't exist. The major won the coinflip of 'they don't exist' and since they were part of Alucard, that means Alucard doesn't exist which is why he disappeared
Think of the cat ability like a gift wrapped box. You dont know whats in it.
Is there a present? Is it empty? Its a 50 50 chance; a coin toss.
And.... he CALLED HEADS in whether he would succeed.
The moment There's certainty, theres no other option.
I just realised the Two Piece Buffy reference was actually two references. One being the vampire hunter and not clicking with Integra. The other being a nod to Naruto’s successor Boruto. Th main character just with a B. How did it take this long for me to get that!?
"So they basically did an episode a year, for about a decade." Well, yeah. They did skip a year, IIRC either between 7 and 8 or between 8 and 9, and 9 actually got copyright struck for including an OP from another show (Friends, I think?) towards the end and was delayed for a another months while they fixed the issue. Writing this at 23:59, btw.
Edit: yep, it was Friends.
13:57 you are correct ^^ from what i learned the first anime of hellsing was in production before the manga was completed, so the ending wasnt published in the manga in time for the anime to catch up, so they made a completely new plot about halfway through the series, roughly around the valentine brothers assaulting the hellsing complex.
hellsing ultimate may be an ova, but its the more faithful adaptation, covering the full true story.
as for abridged, yes its mostly ultimate but there were a couple flashbacks that needed the original animes cutscenes, like the one where integra first met alucard
Oh yeah, all of TFS are huge anime fans. Series writer KasierNeko in particular (Scott Frerichs, voice of Trunks, King Kai, Yajirobe and Pip (replacing his first voice actor after an ep or two) is a massive weeb, even the other TFS members poke fun at him for it.
An original episode was about 40min so yes very much was cut out
Well by logic the next Abridged too watch would be "Final Fantasy 7" Abridged. Thats what i went for after watching Hellsing abridged
The voice actor for Sao abridged was actually in this, he was the Vatican member in the last episode who asked "didn't we give them the cyborg technology". The Sao abridged was done by "something witty entertainment"
Female Alucard is played by Monty Ohm, the little sister to Alucard's voice actor Takahata.
The original Hellsing's underlying theme (vaguely referenced but never addressed by the abridged series) is the question of humanity, represented by the phrase "That which slays a Monster must always be a Man." Alucard may revel in the carnage he wreaks, but his ultimate goal is peace and rest; Alucard wants to die. Unfortunately, because he rejected his humanity and embraced becoming a Monster, he was cursed to roam the world inflicting suffering, only to discover it brought him no satisfaction from the traumas which lead him to turn his back on the world.
THIS is why Alucard was so pissed at Anderson and Walter for making the choices they did, becoming Monsters themselves to try and level the playing field. But Alucard knew they wouldn't be able to stop him and would only be damning themselves to the same existence as him. This is also why the Major refused to embrace vampirism like the rest of Millennium, clinging to his fears, ambitions, weaknesses, and the resolve to overcome them are the true markers of Humanity (also why he saw robotics as not being the same as the Monsters).
In the end, this holds true: Alucard slays Anderson before he can complete his transformation, Heinkel shoots Walter, and Pip is the one to put down the Captain. I honestly think this is also why Alucard returns to Integra after purging himself of his souls: she could be the one to finally give him the peace he feel he doesn't deserve.
One bit I think they whiffed on (a drop in the bucket for a god-tier adaptation) is the remark about "I left all my silver bullets back home." I very much doubt that. Alucard's normal ammunition is silver melted from a Lanchester cathedral cross and Police Girl's Harkonnen cannon (as I recall) uses mercury rounds by default. I'd be surprised if she hadn't actually been issued silver bullets. Then again, in the non-Ultimate Hellsing anime, Seras sees the Harkonnen as an inconvenience and doesn't even bother taking it with her on field ops for a while, so I guess anything's possible.
SAO Abridged is by Something Witty, but the two groups have worked together and have actors who have worked on projects with each other. Izzy (Kirito abridged VA) is in Hellsing, Final Fantasy Machinabridge, DBZA, Fate Stay Abridged (Project Mouthwash), and Goblin Slayer Abridged (Grimjack). The TFS crew has worked on projects with various other groups and has members who are working as VA in dubbing anime and games. Its a fun trip finding out when you hear them in new things like DBZ Xenoverse.
Abu Dhabi is garfield reference... He hates monday and so he would be most cranky in mondays. So he would trick Nerman, shove her into a box and ship her there.
SAO Abridge is done by Someting Witty Entertainment. Though the abridge voice of kirito (YamatoSFX) cameoed during the last episode as Antonio
-SAO was another group but taka the voice of cell and alucard was a voice actor in it.
SAOA is done by SomethingWittyEntertainment. But both them and TFS worked together on stuff. The Catholic dude at the end talking about the cyborgs with the high pitched voice is from SomethingWitty he does the voice of Kirito in SAOA.
SAO Abridged is a different channel altogether however Taka (voice of Alucard) and cofounder of TFS) did voice one of the characters for abridged and the co founder of Some Witty Ent (Kirito voice actor) appeared as one of the priests at the end of this episode
Fun fact: the female voice for Alucard was done by Takahata's(Alucard's VA here) sister
You don't realize just how short this show is when you only get a new episode once a year. I was 12 when I started watching tfs stuff. This show was a yearly tradition for me and my brother around Halloween. By the time it ended I was in college. I really miss those days.
It's great to see reactors still reacting to the Hellsing Abridged Series!
Fun fact: The guy at the end that the priests were explaining the three rules to is Kirito from SAO:A
There is indeed more TFS to watch. The last they Abridged was Final Fantasy 7. That's right, you can Abridge Video Games as well and in TFS fashion, they nailed. It's got 4 Seasons and a Movie. However, since you guys record in advance, I would also like to let you know of the Bloopers they did. I recommend watching 1 them after each Season because each Bloopers Video covers a Season.
With all of that Commented, I hope you guys consider giving this a watch. It's got that TFS quality Comedy and very emotional and serious moments.
Now all that's left is the Christmas special and the full Alexander Andersen song.
During DBZA and Hellsing Abridged, TFS had an abridging competition. That led to a lot of interest in the community and brought together Something Witty Entertainment who did SAO Abridged.
35:50 I've been waiting for their reaction to that line in particular.
I believe one of the minor characters near the end of this episode was voiced by the guy who does the SAO Abridged Series.
SAO Abridged was someone else but a lot of Abridged groups/voice actors are all friends, and they appear in each other's videos.
It may be only 10 episodes but the first one is 45 min long and they get longer each episode. Thats how they're able to fit all the content in 10 episodes.
12:08 I know it’s not as crazy as the other stuff Alucard does, but racking that pistol with his teeth will forever be scarily impressive to me. Like, can you imagine how hard you would have to bite a steel handgun slide that long and heavy in order to not slip while overcoming the recoil spring of a .454 Casull semi-auto, cock the hammer, and rack a round with said teeth?!
It's not shown in here that often, but the Naz| warewolf has the same transformation as Alucard "dog" 😢.
And I also respect that guy a lot, wolf 🐺 for president 🎉
Hellsing Abridged is just such a great ride from start to finish, kinda bittersweet that yall are already done with it but you can always react to the og now.
Fun Fact: The sword had a better chance at working than the bullets did. For whatever strange reason bullet proof glass does excellently against a blunt impact like a bullet slamming against it but it does a significantly poor job against piercing damage like lets say a pickaxe or a sword. It's really depends on the thickness how high it's rated for but with a very well made pick axe hitting it the right number of times you'll break through before someone shooting it. That's one of the 2 things I've learned from years of watching ADHD's World, 1, Don't shoot WD40. 2, Pointy things are OP against bulletproof glass.
SAO Abridged is done by SomethingWhittyEntertainment. Their voice for Kirito plays Antonio in the final episode.
That "very fine people" quote aged like milk even when it came out.
If you're wondering why there's only ten episodes, it's because each episode is the one hour long
They were 10 1 hour episodes. It was an Ova setup, they have a ild hellsing series which was more loke a series. There suppose to be making a remake and a new series.
To explain about Schrodinger thing. It's like you play Skyrim with Mods and you accident install one mod that ruin your other mod and make your game crash evertime you open it and that mod struck with the game files forever even you reinstall it. It still there. Only way that you can play the game is to purge every mods that you install but Schrodinger mod and you can only play a vanilla game. That what happen to Alucard at the end
Billys love canons.
"translate to english" lmao google you okay there bud
An OVA is typically different from a normal anime series…OVAs are more like short movie adaptations (the one piece arc movies are OVAs for example)
So Hellsing is the original series, 13 episodes that ended before the manga ended, so it had to do an original ending. *Hellsing Ultimate* is a series of OVAs….10 episodes, 45-50 mins each, and a far more faithful adaptation of the manga because it had ended by that point
You guys have to understand, Hellsing Ultimate isn't 10 episodes like normal 22 minute length, each one is 42-68 minutes long. They tend to be closer to the hour long mark for each OVA.
“How is she still alive?”
‘She’?
Has...has nobody told them?!
A couple small details
Integra records the majors death as the queen requested
And girly-card is voiced by the sister of the actor who normally voices tfs alucard
When asked why they did the pantsless Serras joke Taka responded “They didn’t stop me”
Sword art online abridged is done by a channel called something witty entertainment, they also do my hero academia abridged. However, memebers of team four star do voice work on both shows
"How is this whole anime only 10 episodes?" Because each episode of Hellsing Ultimate is an hour long at least.
my best friend was roommates with the people who did SAO so I got to meet them regularly, also Hellsing Ultimate was and will forever probably be my favourite anime and I highly recommend watching the actual episodes. Side note: the Hellsing anime with 13 episodes was an earlier version that was highly censored and they made up their own story line and characters where as Ultimate is nearly a scene for scene recreation of the manga, which only had 10 volumes
Have they watched the Alexander Anderson Parady Song yet?
Please tell me they will. I bet they would love how well it was done!
