You’re definitely my go to coach on youtube. You don’t waffle , you get straight to the point and your tips are incredibly helpful.
By the way , your new haircut really works !
The painting with the roses in the vase really has a wonderful composition. I love it. Thank you for all the useful tips. I often felt that my still paintings look quite boring, and now I know better what was missing.
Nice haircut paintcoach!
Excellent video! Exactly what I was wanting to learn. I've become very interested in still lifes and this is great inspiration.
The haircut tho ❤💅
I actually painted some fallen petals on the table for balance and then others copied it. 😊
This was immediately helpful at the beginning of the video. Thank you for getting right into it.
Thanks
Good guidance. And.., I agree no waffling. Thank you for sharing your free videos. Any suggestions or videos on care, storage and shipping prep of paintings on canvas? I haven't tried linen yet.
very simple, accessible and interesting....thank you
as usual, practical, concise and very useful tips. thanks so much!
This is so helpful! Thank you!
New look is cool! Where is a coffee mug you used to have? 😂 love your all videos ❤
Thanks coach
Thank you.
awesome!
Thanks, Coach, am wondering if you could share some info about the lights you use over your paintings...brand, size, installation, etc.
Great video!…Where do I find the link to the book?
I was wondering where you got the turps tin with the grid in the bottom from? Or even what it is called? As I live in Australia will need to get on locally or make one I suppose. Thanks.
Some sort of pressure must exist; the artist exists because the world is not perfect. Art would be useless if the world were perfect, as man wouldn’t look for harmony but would simply live in it. Art is born out of an ill-designed world.
― Andrei Tarkovsky
Chris..how to keep my oil paints wet for a week? i tried many things like cling film, clove oil, putting freezer , submerging my palette in water etc...but around 5 days "skin" forms over the paints...especially burnt umber and ultramarine blue. Any ideas ? so that i could paint daily
This is a very excellent and useful video. Thanks!
Elinize sağlık.
Hey Chris, I've been struggling with my bristle brushes lately, should I switch to synthetics? I'm new and it seems that I can't get a soft edge or a clean brush stroke for the life of me. Maybe because they are cheap Van Gogh Talens bristle brushes? I've tried doing the same exercises with an old LG synthetic flat that I had from watercolors and oh boy what a difference, seems I stepped up 1 year of practice! With the bristle brushes it always seem to look like I painted literally with my fingers, I've messed with dilution, mediums, brands and all, with no avail until I tried the synthetic.
Thanks!
i use hog hair bristle brushes in my first layers with thinner to scrub things in and then when i move to paint or paint/medium mixtures you switch to synthetic and get smoothness
@@ScottHebertArt been so hard to try and get smooth stuff with the hog bristle, I really thought that dang, this oil medium is hard to control, as soon as I fetched the synthetic oh boy...
Studio Tour video?
And please remember that all rules are there to be broken. Just you need you’re purposefully breaking a rule
Should come with a trigger warning for that beer picture. 9 am in the morning and I suddenly feel like I need to look up AA.
You’re good bro just wait a few more hours like the rest of us lol
