In this video we show you how to build simple front suspension on a go kart. This is our Zongshen 190cc 5 speed Cross Kart, aka the world's smallest cross kart, and yard kart destroyer. We wanted to build a vehicle to be the same general size as a simple yard go kart, but have full suspension, a powerful engine, and a 5 speed transmission.
Thanks for Watching!

I'm so excited for this build!
I really hope this thing sets an unbeatable c&cgp lap time!
#teamseas..........................
Turning out good... keep up the good work...
Loving this build, why not use hand controls instead of pedals? 2 brake levers on the steering wheel for throttle and brake.
With all rights! Looks like it will be able to tear it UP! Hope it lives up to it!
I know its been said many times already, but Charles is such a great addition to the C&C crew. Heaps of enthusiasm and energy
I enjoy his childish mind set because its much like my own… Isaac is cool but way chill… john is cool but like laid bad on his humor… Charles is I’m gonna roast you and compliment you in the same sentence and make it funny
What happened to the other guy?
I've noticed John and Issac have laid back on the humor. Earlier episodes they were a real Hoot! John had that hilarious laugh with Issac's cut up. Either way they are much more serious because its a full time job pitting this great content out constantly. Charles brought back that much needed humor and together the 3 are a sensational CZcams video riot. Absolutely love the show
Shhh there was never any "other guy". Not after the concrete foundations were poured. ;-)
Ike and John don't really have the same sense of humor. Charles knows how to talk crap in a joking way, like Ike does. Effectively.
This smooths out a lot of err.. awkward.
Not saying John don't have a sense of humor. Just not so skilled on the sh*t talkin'. ;-) For that he's a very technical boy and is the major reason we even get to see what them crazy 3 are up to.
We race Microsprints here in Pa. We all use a hand shifter with motorcycle type clutch lever attached to it, right foot throttle pedal and left foot brake pedal
" When Isaac goes to West Virginia, this is all he wears"...😂😂😂..
Charles was such a cool addition to the channel.. Nice work gentlemen.🇺🇸🇺🇸
Happy I stayed for that xD
You should just have brake and throttle peddles on either side and for clutch use a lever attached to the shifter
No.
I did this on my go kart, and it works great until a panic brake situation. It's great for steep hill take offs too.
@@TheRealKoolguy007 i know that not many care about this but brakes should be dimensioned to be able to overcome the engine power, in case of the worst case, gas hangs and cluch breaks.
@@dylanzrim3635 Yes.
I second that.
Charles is such a great addition to an already amazing channel! Thanks for all the wonderful content and ideas!!
Content & Personality’s 1000000. subs … Here from the beginning, happy for all of you ! Thanks for sharing with all of us .
Charles is a very likeable and talented kid. 👍👍👍
22:28 The gap welder certification was really needed there XD
The clip of Charles being Charles at the end was awesome!! That dude is great!!
Some people think these wicked machines are so easy to build . WRONG. ITs trial and error alot of the time. This is a cool build from scratch.
Charles is a great addition to the C and C team
Thank goodness that intern isn’t there anymore. We love Charles!
I'm not sure if anyone has said this, I almost thought that front shock system was going down the cantilever suspension route which would have been pretty kool but I love this build!!!!
Same...
I was thinking, if you need room for a pedal box, why not mount the shocks parallel front to back up high and use cantilever linkages..
Charles was a great addition to the team!!
Honda Odyssey style steering/throttle/brake setup would eliminate foot pedals with the clutch on the gear lever, more safety also to have wrist restraints maybe??? Would then just need some foot rests instead of the pedals, easier to brace yourself in the seat also, great job on the build so far its going to be a sweet ride.
I agree, controls on the steering wheel would be very handy in this situatioj
I really think the Honda Odyssey setup is ugly they should try to figure a way out with pedals
how about a hydraulic handbrake.. Rally car style, copied by drift dicks. Save the left pedal for the shift mechanism
Anybody else have to do a double take at Ike’s drawing on the white board? 🤣. Keep up the good work guys. Love the builds
MORE SNOWMOBILE CONTENNT!!!!!
A friendly tip for you fabrimacators 👨🏭 use cooking spray or anti spatter to keep the metal bb's from damaging your machined or finished surfaces like the ball in a heim joint. We use it all the time here at the steel mill to protect hydraulic rams or even threads 😁 im really stoked to see this bad lil rig shred! Good work 👏
The ending with clips of Charles is royal gold! 🤣
Charles pops up like a Muppet from behind the toolbox. That got me to watch the whole ad.
Charles looks like a baseball player
Congrats on the 1 million subs.
When Ike Mentioned buster that brought me back to my childhood watching myth busters thank you ike
Charles is the best decision for the Shop & Channel!
We need a "Charles in charge" (or "is charged") C&C Long Sleeve Shirt.
Because he is usually wearing a long sleeve shirt...
Ooooooo Charles N Charge! T-shirt needs to happen!
I completely agree with adding Charles to the crew 👍 he's such a good guy and I know I could have a beer with all of ya'll super easy.
You guys should do a build off!!!! Keep up the great work.
Hanging in there like a hair on a biscuit! Says Isaac! I love these three guys watching them cheers me up if I’m having a rough day. They all came such a long way in their builds. Keep it up guys you’re awesome.
I love the brainstorming
I like 👍 this group of guys way better than before looks like they have a great time keep up with the good work
...This week on Orange County Cars & Cameras......koolest build ever
I don’t know about anyone else but I like it when they include their thought process or when they brainstorm ideas it makes the video longer and I like it because I understand what’s happening and how they do it
Dang that thing is going to be awesome! I just got a kids 4 wheeler for free from a buddy that I've been thinking about chopping up to do something like this.
Y'all have come a LONG WAY from working in John's parents garage!
And MANY new tools to your advantage.
The Welding Table set-up and the Rouge-Fab Bender have proven to be the tools you cannot live without.
👏 CONGRATULATIONS 👏
I love the Charles episodes!
Steering wheel gas and brake just like an odyssey✨😜
This thing is turning out to be really cool! I look forward to the next video.
Is it just me or is Charles really good and funny with making small part of the videos
not just you, he's a naturally comedic fellow, and entertaining to observe.
I placed an order with your sponsor and man was it painful! But I’m happy to support a Texas business even if they’re in Dallas. 😂
I'd love to see you guys build a snow blower engine !! They are a little different because of the recycled hot air system, and a couple other little things I'll let you figure out.
A good 9hp snow blower is pretty cheap, or I bet one of your viewers would donate one, and then I'd love to see you guys do a COMPLETE engine build. Port and polish, valve honing, big bore stroker build !!!!
John, you could be making extra jack by using that plasma table to design and cut out bracketry for the subscribers at an honest cost foe their own builds... Most one off brackets or pair of brackets would cost a person well over 100bux from any welding/ fab shop and lots of subs cant afford that kind of money for a few brackets... You'd be doing folks a solid as well as helping yourself out if you simply doubled the materials costs, and your time to lay out and hit start and be saving people a chunk while helping them realize their goals and builds...
These are the best videos new builds I love this!!
This cart is going to be in the top 2 on the grand prix times
The brainstorming sessions are great even if the results are Ridiculous 😀
the one clip w charles testing the suspension for the first time i think was my favorite card and cameras moment ever. good guy and good mechanic
Love how Owen gets to do the hard yards during the Bespoke promo. 👍👍🤣🤣
The crossbar you'll be welding between the front suspension towers will be PERFECT for lights & cameras!
Yes, it's begging for a GoPro Mount.
Can't wait to see this thing run.
Charles needs his own channel
I love this channel so much. 🇬🇧
I got really excited when Isaac said "torsion bars". I had a 1/4 midget with beautiful simple torsion bar front suspension, circa 1950/60s. It was super clean and still worked well when I sold the kart in 2008.
I love your all builds
You got this Old Man excited. Looking forward to seeing the completion. Love your videos. 🛵🧔💝💝💝
Right on right on broz
Lol Ike’s drawing on the white board looked like a twig and berries when he started hahahaha
A cars and camera's limited edition production cart for market would be awesome👍👍👍
Cantilever Suspension would be SICK.
That is an excellent start I can't wait to see what you all do with this frame
Working the magic. You guys are awesome.
Charles is like; "Ok, any way you want it, I'll make it work".
That ending was hilarious!!!!!
Bet you could use a jack shaft with sprockets at both ends to power the wheels of an independently suspended rear end... Love to see you create something I suggested . One other thing, I love your commercials lol. You guys make watching advertisements enjoyable. Whoop!
I have missed out on welding until around 6mths ago never to old to learn to weld I'm 42 today 😉
Oh this is awesome!
Looking forward to it!!
What a cool little build.
Bro I literally watch u guys everyday before bed. U guys r awesome ppl. The knowledge is awesome. The projects r creative. Like super cool all around.
The frame binds like crazy
I watch each issue with great pleasure
This thing is gonna be so good in the corners. It's gonna be a ripper!🔥🔥🔥
Ingenious how you 3 work together.
Can you show how the pipe bender works, where to put the pipe to bend where you want it… how to measure and mark out a pipe with multiple bends etc.
That would be awesome 👌🏻
3:52 that’s a LOT of flex right at the Jack shaft
Its looking awesome guys can’t wait to see the finish product 👍🏻👍🏻stay safe guys see ya on the next video 😁
Another great video. Thanks guys!
Boy that engine is going to be warm on your legs and balls 🤣and I’m very interested to see what y’all do with the exhaust beings that you have very limited room but it’s a cool build 👍🤙🏻
a bathtub build sounds fun
this thing is goin to be sick!
its goin to be awesome!!!
You guys should build three of these. And I don't know maybe have a race?
Looking good guys...
Love this build!
Luv the build
This is a cool project! It’s looking good guys. 🤘
This project is looking good. You guys should make three identical karts and have a race day.
Looking good
This is a really cool build, I'd like to see a similar mini crosskart build but witth IRS
Congrats for achieving 1 Million subscribers!! That is great guys!!!
I cant wait to see this one on the grand prix!
you guys are crazy!!! i could never do that!!! amazing!
The shock angle on those front shocks wow
love you guys your the best
It looks badass good job men keep up the good work 🤘
Can't wait to see this thing rip Good job guys 🔥👍✌️
In that bespoke box the first thing you opened was the "weekender". I used to carry my cqrpentry hand tools and such back in the '80s in a bag just like that except mine was ivory colored. I still have it and store carpentry tools in it.
I’d love to take a trip out there and build a mean machine with y’all
This so a cool build. Thank you for for using a different motor than the predator
This thing is going to be sweet!
Just an idea, use a handlebar for the steering, brakes & the throttle. It might solve the pedal fitment issues.
That would make it very hard for steering all it needs is brake peddle and a throttle pedal. Then hand shifter with clutch. If any crashes happen a steering wheel is far safer due to your legs wont be trapped under the handle bar and risk snapping a leg if you shift out the seat or risk them puncturing your body if the crumble from a roll over. Handle bars belong on bikes dude
Buster for hire and currently studying for welding for hire all I need is food for pay😃👍👍
You three Stooges just make interesting fun things and good entertainment.
