He literally caught this dude in his mid life crisis
You win
Ha!
Literally the middle of the middle. A crisis In it's prime.
@@tappcorp i never thought I would see you on hear
Big facts. 😂
Remember kids, alcohol affects your decision making. A sober corvette driver chooses to get into a police chases on GA 400 rather than North Point Mall.
😂
Bonus points for Vengeance Racings stickers.
This is the worst spot to run to, that whole back section, that backs up to 400 is closed in and Northpoint Circle is no picnic with it's speed bumps and oddly laid out parking lot. I remember thinking how odd that parking lot was when they first built it.
Spoken like a true local
They go straight!
I loved this story. I really think a whole new segment of VinWiki stories should be about police chases told by police officers!
YESSSSS!!!!
yeah that would be awesome to support the guys and gals of the force by showing interest in their chases!!!
@@NickTheTeck You're supposed to lick the boot, not deepthroat it and tickle the heel.
Please add this as a segment. Us old guys have LOTS of stories.
Culprit: why am I being pulled over?
Cop: trying to relive your 20’s.
The part about the sign reminded me of how the scout hall I went to burnt down but the council (local government) installed a new sign pointing to it well over a decade later. The Scout Hall was never rebuilt (they later built a childcare centre there) but there was a shiny new sign pointing to what used to be there.
"Your tax dollars at work!" 🫣 Hilarious and sad at the same time.
Northpoint Mall Parking lot is literally the WORST play to try and run and hide. Especially if you go right from eastbound on Haynes Bridge, you hit the back part, no way out.
As someone who also grew up watching the dukes of hazzard, that sign would have been a memory and badge of honor for me as well, what a sight that story conjured up in my imagination.
You know something's about to happen when a cop mentions Dukes of Hazzard in a pursuit
That's true! I do!
I saw a pursuit where an officer spun out a perp, then drove off the road and jumped his Crown Vic at least 20 feet in the air and landed on a telephone pole.
@@bwofficial1776 Like hit in mid air or laned on top???
Gorgeous puppers! Such a nice police dog. Great story, that was pretty hilarious. I can just picture a big hole in the sign lmao!
Talk to Tony lately??? 😝
This guy looks and sounds like a cool cop.
Alpharetta (the town next to my hometown of Roswell) has a bunch of cool cops. One of them got caught, on duty, repelling off of a crane with some of my friends back in 2000. They used to go to abandoned houses in the middle of the night with us and hang out at Wills Park while we played high speed tag and capture the flag on the giant play set and you couldn't touch the ground.
I can understand the sound but looks? A-holes can take any human form.
@@somenygaard There are plenty of assholes in every career path everywhere. Cops are no exception and neither is anyone else. Honestly, when a rookie joined APD and picked on us or any other group of kids hanging out late at night, who wasn't doing anything other than just that, the rest of APD gave them a REALLY hard time.
Some people feel the need to have something to prove. One of my good friends joined the Roswell PD and he get a bit too cocky the first two years and we all shit on him hard, told him he was being a prick. He took it to heart and is really cool about it now. Another one of our friends joined Alpharetta PD and he's always been super chill and has only ever arrested one person for pot and that's because they had a 9 month old child in the front seat, with no seatbelt on, while driving high and had weed all over the car.
@@somenygaard ‘looks cool’ can be meant as ‘is perceived to be cool’; regardless of physical appearance
@@codypk5111 eh, seems cool would mean what you said. Looks is referring to some person or things physical appearance.
Love pursuit stories, should get more officers or EMS to come on
Um. No.
@@joshuagibson2520 Why? They see stuff you wouldn't believe, they all have wild stories.
@@bwofficial1776 I don't support revenue enhancement specialists. (Or thieves, see cash civil asset forfeitures) Was a day when it was all about "to serve and protect." Even used to see that written on many patrol cars. Now it's all about to harass and fine.
Yes there are good and bad cops, so don't hit me with that. It's nothing personal toward any officer. They're people trying to do their job. My problem is the dept. The local, state, and fed police state that we live in. The Policing for profit. The institution that is law enforcement.
@@joshuagibson2520 I will hit you with the 'take off your tin foil hat' argument.
When the other unit showed up and told this cop that he could leave and they would take it all from here, my first thought was: 'I wonder which too big to jail politician or CEO just got all his bases covered?'
Yuuuuup. Someone pulled those strings pretty quick, it sounds like
Since he describes that responding unit as a "DUI unit" it's more likely that officer #2 just thought, "I've been drunk hunting for hours now. This is a gift."
Well, that's a thought.
@@bobhunt4402 Yeah, too quick for "phone a friend".
Love this guy, and thank you for your service. Love your partner as well. Stay safe sir.
MAN, that K-9 is a beautiful dog, with very distinct markings for a German Shepard.
I'm amazed that a Alpharetta officer was patrolling the GA Autobahn. I never see Alpharetta or Roswell officers on the Fulton side of 400.
The pics of you with your k9 are awesome!! Lol I think I was enjoying them more than the story
I haven't lived in GA for over 10 years, and when I did, I was just a kid, but it's truly crazy hearing him describe these street names and locations and bells start ringing in my head of memories I didn't even know I had. I remember going to the Golden Corral that was right outside the mall that's now apparently closed :(
Exit looked more like a 180deg not a 360. Just saying, either way seemed like he was probably one of the few cool coppers 👮♂️ 🚔
I think he meant 180 but said 360 instead. Honestly I probably wouldn't even really notice it without your comment 😂
Let's split the difference and go with 270°... Lol. (To be honest, I think it was. As in, three 90's 🤔)
I wouldn't expect a cop to have a grasp on simple math.
That is the most beautiful and largest Sheppard I have ever seen! I want a story on the puppers!
Exactly he's BUILT 💪🏽
Thank you for your service. I loved the recount of the incident. Anyone who has been in law enforcement has a few stores to tell.
K9 Mattis! Really interested in some stories from him!!
I remember a story a while ago on here saying, "if you miss your first payment, the dealer has to take the car back". So how would that work here? Lmao. I don't think he's going to make that payment.
The best part hands down is for 10 years the mall said screw it to replacing that sign
The stuff they showed in "The Dukes of Hazard" was pure fantasy. Even with the trunk full of concrete, you could see the front hitting first and crumpling. There's no way you jump a car and drive away from it over and over again. They destroyed a lot of classic Chargers doing that show.
At the time they were 10 year old cars no one wanted anymore.
we need more of this guy's stories
I'm glad Mattis made it through that bloating issue, love yall
Great story, gorgeous pics of the police dog, Rj in Oz
We can read your username. No need to sign off.
Wow… the other way on North Point Dr. goes to my office!
We needed adps k9 mattis there for this interview too
Not only is this man a good officer but a good Dad as well 🙂 Back The BLUE !!!
love when these stories are about my hometown lmao
Guy is a good story teller. Thank for the video!
Been following this dude on Instagram for years now. What a awesome dude 😎
I would like to see the dashcam footage of that.
The ring is cool,I first want to get a piece of the Happy Toys truck from Maximum Overdrive that one can buy also.
Lord what a beautiful k9
Wow. That is an epic chase story!!
TOT is the best feeling in the world! But I really wish this one was sponsored by the ticket gurus. The irony would be hilarious.
Yes
@@tappcorp Also, as long as Ive watched you on social media I never caught that you're local man. Im a deputy in Troup.
@@tappcorp Awesome story, Sir! Please come back and share some more. The Big Chair is yours, anytime. Thank you for helping to keep us safe! #IBackTheBlue❗🇺🇸
@@brandonlong7690 👈 I like the way you think! Thank you, as well, for what you do to keep us safe. #IBackTheBlue❗🇺🇸
Reminds me of the thing a few years ago where a car landed in the roof of a church in Germany, that was near a corner on a slope.
Was it the groom, late for his wedding? 😂🤔
Love this guy! Hope Mattis is doing well!!
hahahahaa. He had be me at, 'it's not gonna buff out'. Even with ceramic....
This guy kinda sounds like Roman Atwood, especially in the beginning of the video😂
Well I mean hey dukes of hazard was a ga show and we do love some moonshine and fast cars. Sounds like a perfect ending to me 😂.
120 plus jumping tracks in a 76 cutlass was fun.Never got caught.
Ps I have 2 million accident free miles in a semi truck.
Cop: …and the junction does a whole 360…
Google Maps: a 180 degree junction 😂
I know the area well I also know that everybody drives like that on the Alpharetta Autobahn
Breaking Bread with the Enemy 🤣
Sounds like Ricky Bobby's worst nightmare
The K-9 looks just like a very missed Shep I had years ago. Best friend I ever had.
This was fun! Not many places that let cops talk about their experiences chasing down the bad guy. Like it or not, cops are a major part of car culture too! For better or worse ;)
Dang it dash cam footage would of been epic
I know a few Alpharetta cops, and they’re actually nice dudes. I got in an accident with a rifle and some night vision in my car, and before going to the hospital for broken ribs, the respond officer let me check out his select fire mk18 and pvs31 night vision on loan from NSW 🤣
Love the dog
Have you ever run from the cops?
Does it count if your relative who's an officer has to tell you the next day you were running?
I don't answer questions.
Allegedly...
Nice try
yup i stole chimken nuget in Chiron
Dekalb here lol
Do not ask a cop “Whats the most fucked up thing you’ve ever seen?” Unless you have a strong stomach.
So, no plates = good for boogaloo in alpharetta GA
I spy with my little eye an Alpharetta PD car.
I tested for and was offered a position there in ~1998 ish
Ended up getting US Customs @ JFK, which was a much shorter commute!
Legend has it the DUI officer who pulled up out of no where and decided to take the mountain of paper work off his hands was the corvettes owner friend and let him go Scott free😆😆
How do you come on here!? WITHOUT mattis?
Was a cop for 20 years. The DUI unit was prob working Safe and Sober detail. It's overtime and they always take the DUI's for patrol.
360 or 180?
Pretty dope for a cop.
The paws on your dog are huge....
Well aside from a good story, this is very good advice on what to do when evading the police.
1st on the 180 - vs - 360...
Looks like Tom segura
I'm too local for this 😅
Let me guess, this car had a Tom Jumper Chevrolet drive out tag on it.
Proving once again, fiberglass is a wonderful material for boats, not cars. But it sure is flammable!
My wife loves his TicToc page.
Lol bring him back !!!! This is CZcams gold
I follow him on tik tok great guy
Would have rather seen an interview with the dog! FTP!
LEEEEEroy Jenkins!!
Wait! Isnt this the Officer who has Mattis?
You can't punch it anywhere, the amount of curves and turns around 400 is insane.
The only truly massive straight shots are between Windward and McFarland or down at the Glenridge Connector(this used to be a huge highway race spot before Sandy Springs was actually a city and Fulton County was the PD for the area).
@@ColinStevens Holcomb Bridge Rd has a nice and long stretch. Only thing is that it's a hotspot for Police.
@@desirable_guy7354 Far too many traffic lights for my taste, police aside. I've lived Old Alabama and Holcomb and also off of Nesbit Ferry and Holcomb. 92 out towards Cherokee has some better straight shots and slightly more flat areas, in my opinion, plus the congestion.
Cobb Parkway and Barret Parkway have pretty solid, but also now, massively congested roads.
Sugarloaf Parkway, Boat Rock Road off of Fulton Industrial and Mount Industrial over near stone mountain were always the best places to race, back in the day. Moreland Ave was a nice meet up, but an awful spot to race.
For cops all over the world, best part of the story is that you didn't have to do the paperwork
The v8 caprice could keep up with a vette
that's a new one. cops telling stories.
It isn’t, you just haven’t been watching long enough brother
Is the K9 officer a German Shepard? He’s/she is pretty big.
He is Mattis. 100lb German Shepherd. Retired 2 yrs now.
It would be a better story if he chased him through the mall like the blues brothers.
8m sure he didnt put any member of the public in harms way. This gang member bragging about it. Policing for profit should be a capital offense.
The worst are the cash thefts. But I agree, whether through tickets or cash theft, it's all policing for profit.
Mattis is the man mark is cool tooo
“Who hasn’t run from the cops “ would be a better question. Would it not be?
Touch my camera through the fence
Do US cops all have personal photographers or was this guy just always always posing for photo ops?
I think that’s tom segura
Where’s Brett?
Hey Mark, I'm a 22 year old with a 76 MG midget convertible. The car is very small, and as safe as running with scissors. If I ran from the police, would they consider it to dangerous to chase me? I'm asking for a friend
Love a good Cop story, Told with a chuckle and enthusiasm its even better!
I understand wanting to go home after drinking but you have to wait this stuff out. Drink water, eat something dry, just wait it out.
I wonder if your K9 is from the same blood lines as my Shepherd Bear is. His grandfather was from a working dog line and sire. He has the exact same coloring expect he is much bigger at 135lbs. Also in for some good K9 stories as I worked with a number of amazing K9s.
Update there is a sign now
🤣🤣 im srry im drunk
360 exiit? Hmmmmm!. Who else is scratching their heads
Dude should of never said he was drunk
Rolling a Blunt + driving = swerving. Not intoxicated! I swerve completely sober, broad daylight. Don't Judge
Cops and EMTs are a treasure trove of crazy stories!
This comment section is going to be wild in a day or two
And I would’ve got away with it too if it wasn’t for those damn roundabouts!!
