    I'm in second year nursing school doing children's nurse. Sometimes the workload gets so much that I get behind and sometimes I end up rushing so my grades aren't as good as could be. If you fail second year, and you want to retake do you have to start from first year again or do u go straight into second year but have to retake the second year again?

    • @nursediariesuk
      @nursediariesuk  Před 3 lety

      Heyyy , Honestly what you said is the same as me in regards to work overload second year is really tough! I believe if you fail second year you have to repeat the year again , however, I’m not 100% sure as this may be different depending on what university you go to. Stay positive and keep pushing through and hopefully you will not be in this situation and will successfully pass but I honestly feel your struggle as it’s so hard to do placement whilst having multiple assignments. Hello, I would like to ask a question please,are NHS nurses allowed to take permanent night shifts or rotation will always be mandatory?because as far as I understand night shifts are less desirable by many nurses so it shouldn’t not a problem in theory but I don’t know about the policy in NHS in general or in the different trusts
    Thank you

    • @nursediariesuk
      @nursediariesuk  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey I hope you’re doing well, in regards to your question I am sure that depending on where you choose to work you definitely will be able to do night shifts, as I know a few nurses who do only night shifts due to other personal commitments. My advice would be to speak to whoever the manager/ person in charge is prior to working in order for them to work around your needs. ( hope this helps) 💕💕

    i’m starting my child nursing course in sept2021 inshaAllah but question - how long into the course do you start placement? and do u have any say in where you go??

    • @nursediariesuk
      @nursediariesuk  Před 3 lety +2

      Hey hun, so as a student nurse you will have placement every year, in terms of when exactly your placement begins varies on each individual university, Therefore, i would advise you to check with the university you have applied to. Usually, first year placement tends to begin in January. You do not really have a say as to where you are allocated however, prior to allocating you they try to place you somewhere not too far from your location. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions please message me on my Instagram page : nursediaries.uk

    Do you think it’s best to stay at London or go to midlands for nursing ?

    • @nursediariesuk
      @nursediariesuk  Před 21 dnem

      hey, i honestly think it depends on you. I was out of London as i wanted a new experience of being more independent and not being in the same environment. You don't have to only go to the midlands there are many other places too that are outside London. If you have no issues then staying in London may work for you, the choice is honestly all yours !

    • @nursediariesuk
      @nursediariesuk  Před 3 lety +5

      We didn’t have to , everyone’s financial problems are different however, in this case , all of us did have jobs on the side at the time but it is not something that is compulsory I guess it depends on you financial stability. Hope this answers your question , if you have anymore questions please contact us on Instagram at: Nursediaries.UK 💕(link is also in the description box)

      @nursediariesuk  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey hun, it’s a struggle at first but you defo need to make time for a social life I would advise you to get like a planner so you can sort out when you need to do your uni stuff and also have time to just relax as self-care time is just as important !! I’m going to upload a video on this hopefully in a week or two so stay tuned xx
