    POTATO RAVA SNACK
    Potato - 1 large (about 175g)
    Rava - ½ cup
    Milk- ½ cup
    Egg - 1
    Yeast - ½ tsp
    Rice flour - 2 tbsp
    Green chilli - to taste
    Pepper powder - to taste
    Coriander leaves - a small bunch
    Kasuri methi - a little
    Chilli flakes - to taste
    Salt - to taste
    Oil - to fry
    Hi everyone, today let’s see how to make an easy and delicious snack using rava and potatoes..
    This snack looks and tastes similar to Kurkure that we buy from stores.
    To prepare the snack, first, in a large mixing bowl, mash a boiled and peeled potato into a nice creamy texture without any lumps of the potato..Make sure to mash the potato when it is still warm, else it will not mash into a creamy texture. Mash and set aside.
    Next, powder half a cup of Rava in mixer grinder and keep aside.
    Next, add ½ tsp of yeast in half a cup of lukewarm milk and mix well.
    Now, combine an egg and the powdered rava along with some salt to taste, with the mashed potato.
    After combining , add half cup of yeast mixed milk in batches and mix it with the batter in a whisking motion and leave it to ferment for around 4 ½ hours until it rises up , and thickens up..
    The batter will thicken up with the time, as the rava absorbs all the milk.
    To the fermented batter, add two heaped tablespoons of rice flour and mix well..
    Next, add finely chopped green chilies, pepper powder, finely chopped coriander leaves, a little kasuri methi and chilli flakes to taste, and our batter is ready..
    When the batter is ready transfer the batter into a Ziploc bag or a piping bag and heat oil in a pan meanwhile..
    As the oil heats up, drop the batter into oil the the shape of Kurkure, as you can see in the video..
    Fry these until crispy, on a low flame..
    A few things to take care of are, if the oil is too hot, the snack might fall flat into the oil and if there is a lot of air trapped inside the cover, the same thing might happen..so change the batter into another cover if that happens
    Fry these until crispy and serve with tomato ketchup!!
    If you want them crunchier, fry in the oil for a second time until all the bubbles around the snack disappear..
