I tried it and both balloons popped.. any idea on why this might have happened??
Oh no! To prevent the bubble from popping there are a couple things we can trouble shoot.
1. Don't try and pop it immediately after inflating. Wait at least 30 minutes so the balloons have a chance to relax.
2. Under inflate the bubble a little bit so it isn't under as much tension as the latex balloon. The latex balloon should be near its full size so it does pop.
3. Place the tape a few inches from the bubble's seam and not right on it, as that is the weak point of the bubble.
4. Rub the tape so it is adhered to the bubble really well. If in double you can use a second piece of tape on top of the first.
5. Use a small pin to pop the bubble.
Oh God! I made this and the reveal is today. 😳 I pray all goes well. If not we will still see what it is. I did everything but it may be over inflated. 1 out of five ain’t bad. 🤞🏽

Hi guys you can also try stretching the balloons out before hand make sure its nice and flexible

I did this for my best friend’s gender reveal and it was a success!! Of course I did a practice one a week before just in cause I ran into any hiccups for the real one. Everyone loved the idea! Mess free and easy to dispose. Thank you for this! Beautiful memories were created 💙
How did you manage to not pop the bubble balloon?
@@azrakurtovic800 I used a 20 inch size Bobo balloon and I use an 18 inch size black balloon and I made sure that I filled the black balloon it’s full 18 inch size. With those sizes the Bobo balloon will still be at its max

Hi Andrea, I'm glad the video was helpful! Yes the bubble balloon will slowly continue to deflate if the pin hole isn't taped over. I taped the hole of the balloon I used in the video, and it is still inflated over a week later.

I am making one of these for a friend's reveal at the end of the month. I have done a tester, and it worked perfectly only issue I have is I can see the 260 I used to tie the big balloon to the base any suggestions?

So im doing a gender reveal party for my sister and i wanted to do the no mess reveal. I wanted to know is this doable with helium? So once the inside balloon is popped, will the bubble balloon still float?
I feel it should work, but haven’t tried it yet so I thought i would ask an expert first lol ❤️

So my black balloon deflated a bit because it got a hole when I tied it. I'm afraid it won't pop now without enough tension. Is there any hope?

Once I saw a sience-docomentation of lasers and there was a guy, who popped a black balloon, that was inside a clear one without popping the clear one by using a strong laserpointer.

The bobo balloons looks great for a long time. You could easily make this 2-3 days ahead of time. After popping the black balloon I still have the bobo balloon weeks later and it still looks great!

How long in advance can you make it?
I'm really struggling to find black gender balloons here in the UK to fit a 24 inch bobo balloon.
I personally feel the 36 inch gender reveal balloons are too big but could you still use these or would they not inflate enough inside a 24 inch bobo? TIA
Hi great question. I wouldn't use a black 36" inside the 24" bobo. We want the black balloon to be inflated close to it's full size so it pops easily. I would look for a 18-24" black balloon and then under inflate the bubble to match the max size of the black balloon. Tuftex and Betallic make both 18" and 24" balloons. I'm not sure what is available in the UK, but I hope this helps. Good luck!
Any idea why when I pop the balloon the blue powder does not blow all over the bobo and just stays at the bottom of the balloon?

Hi Amanda, That is correct. It is just like if you were double stuffing two latex balloons.
Hi tried this 3 times abs both the balloons popped each time I used my electric pump to inflate and tried with in minutes of making it
I'm sorry it isn't working out. Try waiting for an hour before popping it. I learned from another balloon artist the balloons need a chance to relax.

I’ve tried it 6 times but all failed 😢 I’m pretty exhausted now… I really don’t know where went wrong…. 3 of the time the inside ballon didn’t pop after I poked…… and the rest are both ballons ( the inside and outside one) popped at the same time… what possibility would caused my failure? Please help… my friend’s baby gender reveal party is next week… thank you

What do u call the clear balloon? And where to buy?
It is typically called a bubble balloon. There are a couple different brands and they call them all different things. The ones I used are Bobo balloons and there is an Amazon link in the description to the one I purchased.

What did you use to pop the balloon?
I used a sewing pin. You want something sharp and small.
I made one, popped it but the black balloon didn’t pop quickly. The needle just made holes in the black balloon 😩 what happened?
The same thing happened to me when my black balloon was too under inflated. It is a balance of balloon sizes. The black balloon needs to be inflated to it's full size so it pops easily.

Hi, can I use 20" or 24" bubble balloon (clear balloon) and latext balloon 18"? Will the inside balloon will only pop with those sizes?
You can use different sizes of balloons. The important thing is the latex balloon should always be the smaller balloon, so it is stretched tight and will easily pop while the bubble isn't quite as tight and less likely to pop.
Thank you so much for responding to my question. I don't have an impulse heat sealer, can i either use the portable sealer- mostly the ones you use for chips or can i use a flat iron straightener for hair?
Now i understand why the bobo balloon didn't pop.
We have done several ‘test’ balloons using all the suggestions in the video and comments to prevent popping of the Bobo balloon and they have all popped. 😔
