    Thanks, Tim. I have the Shard and the NanoStriker on my keychain - the Shard comes in pretty handy every now and then. I used to carry the SwissTech Utilikey as well, but nixed it a good while back. I carry less on my keychain now, because I have been carrying a SAK all the time on a belt pouch and put my keychain light there.

    I've had a Leatherman Squirt PS4 on my keychain for more than a year. It's just an ideal compact pocket tool. Most of the time I don't notice I'm carrying it. I'm never without my keys, so I'm never without a useful blade, scissors, pliers, a couple of little screwdrivers and a nailfile. It's small, but rugged and well-made, and it saves me from having to carry a larger pocketknife or tool. Lately a lens keeps popping out of my glasses (I'm overdue for a new pair), and the PS4 has been quite handy as a repair tool.

  • @kaizoebara

    I carry a Fisher Space Pen Bullet in my back pocket. It is a simple 2-piece design where the cap goes on the other end to make a full-size pen. And because it's a Space Pen, there are no worries about getting it to write in any orientation.
    The Rescue-Me is a problem on a keychain because the tool will drop off too easily. Mine sits in the little coin tray on my car door. I have other similar tools, but this is the only one with the spring-loaded glass breaker that's so simple to use. I've seen cops wail on side windows with their flashlights, Asp etc. and be amazed when I barely touch it and it shatters.

      After some use you’ll find that most of their stuff is just a gimmick. Wait till you use one of the sbiners & it fails this simple task and you loose your keys or whatever you were hanging on it. I found the best biners come from the hardware store & are weight rated. With these your keys etc won’t accidentally fall off.

      @Heizenberg32 Před 2 lety +4

      @@brimstone33 I carry the Style most days, but switch it out for the Dime occasionally. The only time I had to contact the manufacturer of either tool was for the same reason: Lost tweezers. Leatherman gave me the option to ship in the whole tool for a warranty claim, or to buy replacement tweezers out-of-pocket. Needing to mail them the tool just so they could pop in a set of tweezers was pretty silly. It was my own fault for losing the tweezers, so I will credit them for at least having options for me. But I never bothered to follow through. Gerber never replied to me. A new set of tweezers just showed up in the mail a couple of weeks later! So, I will give the win to Gerber's customer service over Leatherman's, in this instance

    Gerber Shard should've had a HEX hole (not round), to use hex bits. Why they did not think of this simple implementation is quite astounding to me.

    The #Gerber clutch newer version is the "Vice" now. #Exotac ferro rod, you can get off of the #Wish app (knock off, but same thing). #Niteze makes alot of versions of those key type gadgets. You can paracord wrap the #Gerber shard, how to videos on CZcams. Cool review, thanks.

    That strong magnet is only $12. You get two of those and you make yourself a keychain quick release for your car keys.

    Hi. The Carabiner that you are showing at 5:07 is in fact a Munkees Carabiner. Have one exactly like that but in black.

    Great video! Do you have any other suggestions for good quality carribeaners to attach to my belt loops and hold my edc keychain tools?

  • @backwoodsbrooksknives4625

    No lights? I carry either an Olight i1E or an Olight i1R on my key chain. I used to carry a Fenix E11 which was also a great light but would come on or loose the light head too often. All of them are great backup lights to a primary edc light.

    Playing one-up, I have a NukAlert radiological detector that can be cliped to a keyring. About the size of 2 Zippos side by side (weighs about the same as one), has a 10-year battery and is always on. And it's certified.
