I own the FPV, Avata, and Mini 3 Pro and love all of them. However, I'm at the Oregon Coast, and with the high winds, the only one I have been able to fly and get good videos is with the FPV. I am so glad I kept it and recommend to everyone else to keep theirs.
any thoughts on mini 4 pro??
I've only had my Mini 4 Pro about 12 hours. 🤔 It seems to be a really nice upgrade to the Mini 3 Pro. To me it just seems to fly better. Not sure why but I am sure all the software upgrades are making a difference. With all the new feature I like what I have tested and so far I would recommend it over a the Min 3 Pro.
So glad I saw this post. I live right on the coast of Oregon and I've been really torn between the FPV and the Avata. I was already leaning FPV due to wind and this comment has sealed the deal for me. So now I gotta decide on goggles. I have seen multiple people say they'd still pick the V2 goggles over the new Integra goggles or whatever they are calling them.
I have had the DJI FPV drone for 2 years and love it. Gets me to places my previous DJI could not. The range and signal penetration is superior to other DJI models. Just about to buy the Avata for yes those confined space flying :) I have been flying fpv drones for over 13 years and rc for over 30 years so crashing is a non event :) 3D heli flying helped with that too.
Thank you Amy for the video 😊
another great video, thank you!
My pleasure!
I bought a $40 pelican case knock off from Bunnings for my DJI FPV drone and all the gear fits great.
I bought DJI FPV combo, and then Avata (drone only) - it's the best choice in my opinion.
Does the remote that comes with the FPV work with the avata
@@justinmunford2164 Yes
Just ordered FPV as my first. Been flying Mavics and Phantoms so I figured I give this a shot. Great vids. Subbed.
Good luck!
I heard one of drones yesterday at the beach. Quite loud Either avata or FPV
from your experience, how many meters to loss signal when flying low with trees, obstacle, building. thanks
thank you
Love ur vids, just subscribed
Thanks for subbing
Thank you for the video I ended up buying both and yes the avata is a really good drone for new pilots
Cool 🤝😎
Love my Avata but I definitely regret selling my DJI FPV last year!
What makes you regret not having the FPV anymore?
@@TheUpsideDownLife I’m not an FPV drone flyer but looking back now I just realize how much fun that drone was - it was fairly fast and maneuverable compared to the Mavics and other gps drones I had been flying.
Same with me i sold it last year and I regret it alot , i feel like the fun is gone , no other drone feels like dji fpv for me it could be used like mavic in normal mode and also fun time manual mode
I have a mavic 2 pro with the smart controller. If I purchase the avata with goggles. Can I use those googles on the mavic?
Your sunglasses like mine, I have those 5 variations of the glasses colors...that one you wore definitely my favorite one...
btw I'm a drone pilot too, now its my 8th test flight with DJI FPV...lol
Awesome! Best sunnies ever 😂
I was going to buy one of the other cinewhoops with the O3 setup but the flight time is crap and there is no GPS backup etc and they cost the same if not more than the Avata.
for 500 quid whats the best fpv combo i can get
Love your videos, but it’s not about image quality for me, it’s the fun of flying. Which one is more fun to fly.
So Amy, you are the one who worked for DJI manufacturing company aren't you? Looks, nowadays drones are being such a great tools for short video filming and it can be easy to get in almost local provider stored in every country. However, have you ever tought of making it more customizeble to the way it was design so people can easily upgrade their equipment from time to time where they found it is the time for it to be. I had have seen a few tech guys did that and it's kind of fun to have a hand held drone that is offered to have a really nice, customizeble future as similar as what the desktop pc offered to their end users. I think it is worthy expecially to those who saw the things as a must have tool for their work. PLEASE CONSIDER MY SUGGESTION AS A FRIENDLY BUSINESS customers feedback for your future company improvement.
Buy both :)
What realistic flight time are you getting from the Avata? So flying and landing with at least 30% battery left.
In my personal experience, 10-12 minutes in M mode
Over 10 minutes landing with 30% and I love it.
Amy why did I find this clip the day of buying an fpv please say it's better haha. BTW you make awesome content keep it up mate
Spot on got the right one.
I would get both
I broke the OTG Cable for my drone. Do you know where i can get a new one?
Contact DJI support!
Hey. With your mount and GoPro does your drone footage in the goggles shake ?
Nope
@@amycreighton what mount would you recommend for fpv drone. I tried mine today. Terrible vibrations in the fpv cam and overheating motors
Dam ... thats a nice Dam.
😅😅😅
So what is your favourite drone out of these 2
I love the DJI fpv but really love the Avata a little more because it’s smaller and the camera is much better! And the newer goggles are smaller too!
They were good when they first came out to get views...but after owning several home built and BNF drones I will never in my life consider owning one of DJIs plastic drones. It's too much time to fix, too much money over all, and with everything else out on the market it's far from worth it anymore.
Huge jitter with video its like different fps between them
Absolutely disagree.. FPV is more saturated, and handles overexposures much better while still not ideal. Love both! The only factor aglint FPV is it's vulnerability against crashes, and recovering. Both are over 249g - license factor.
My FPV isnt getting much use anymore because the camera quality and signal transmission is much better on the Avata.
But at the same time I cant bring myself around to the thought of selling the FPV either...
fpv all the way.
avata is slow and unstable in winds and doesn't have the range.
NEITHER! Get an FPV drone that's way better flying, way lower cost, actually repairable by yourself quite easily, and has the exact same camera so image quality is identical!
Oh, did I mention these FPV drones are sooooo much cheaper and there's a bunch to choose from? Plus, you can choose from dozens of batteries that are literally a fraction of the cost of those super expensive DJI rip off batteries! 😎🤘
Agree, but there is an additional learning curve in just being able to charge your batteries! DJI make things much more simple!
@@amycreighton Ha, learning curve for charging batteries! That's a good one...that was a joke, right?! That's a 10 minute video watch! Plus, the charger can be purchased with your $aving$ from buying your very first battery vs. buying a DJI battery! Seriously! They're that much more money! Ridiculous! 💸💸💸
But, it's the lack of being instantly broken with a decent crash that the FPV drones have a superb advantage over the PLASTIC drone DJI sells. one decent crash and YER DONE! FPV drones must be something close to 1000% more durable and easily fixable BY YERSELF! lol No sending the Avata into DJI and having it costs hundreds of dollars to get fixed...only to have to do it all over with a medium bad crash!
PLASTIC AND DRONES DON'T WORK GOOD TOGETHER! It's a suckers buy!!! 🥴
love your posts....are you single? i live in the usa but willing to relocate! 🥰
Hey Amy I understand you friend might not be as technical as you are and hence you may no have received feedback from other technical people within the field, the first you need to do when comparing is list down your equipment, e.g remote, testing criteria and other prerequisites - your jump in shots only serve to impress the social media group that's why its hard to take you seriously where's the speed meter and the other gage content to see what parameters your measuring.
I have to be honest ask you to go back to the kitchen as your not a worth of being a drone pilot.
😂😂😂 that’s all…
