The mind is actually unable to focus on the work because it is occupied with appearing productive. This is incredibly short-term thinking. Impossible to get "into the zone".

In all honesty this has helped me a lot. I've been working from home for 2 years now as it is actually the nature for my job. It has been a challenge staying focused on tasks and getting stuff done especially if you are in your home environment. I can't explain it really well but I guess I'm kind of subconscious about the fact that I'm streaming 12 other people being productive and am getting influenced to do some work as well. The typing and clicking sounds make it seem more like I'm in a work environment and therefore should get some work done.
Needless to say I was able to get a lot of tasks done today at work so any time I feel distracted or unmotivated, I'll definitely get back to this video. Thanks so much Thomas!

I don't know what it is about this but I've used this the past two nights and just hearing and seeing other people quietly work away has allowed me to stay focused on my work in a way that I never would have expected. I've set timers for myself before but it's seeing everyone else working that adds a whole new element. Thanks!

There should be virtual libraries to connect to, share cams in saloons like chat rooms but for work purposes. It's an interesting concept here.

I do that in a small way with my class. I start a microsoft teams chat. And then everyone just enters and do their own thing while working. It is nice because you feel accountable and when you have a question about homework you can ask directly.

There are a lot of study/work with me videos out there but this is the one I always put on (on repeat) when I need to focus. I think this in large part because of the editing, something about seeing the glimpses of other peoples screens and the number of people cycling through give it enough interest when I look up from my work to keep me motivated. Please make more like this!!
What I love about this is the inclusion of a little peek at everyone's workflows from time to time. I want to start my own channel, and it's helping A LOT just seeing how the behind the scenes look.

I am going through a huge unproductive patch, to a level that I have come to terms with it, and this was so bloody inspiring. I cannot begin to thank you enough for this. I'm a content creator/ producer and I'm sending love for this because it is SO HARD to get into the work somedays. I admire so many of you for the value your channels have provided me over the years and seeing you all do the difficult focused-intensive work is inspiring. The process is the part we don't get to see. It's not glamorous (or even fun a lot of the time) but its the only way to get projects from start to finished. I'm not only inspired, I'm sitting right here with you all putting my time in to bring my goals from concept to achievement. Thank you Thomas for sharing this, hopefully you'll be seeing my videos soon enough.
