That was a long way to bootle docks from the end of the lancs 🤣once you got to the end of the lancs do a right and its straight down till you can go no more haha. good video mate 👌

Good luck, theory and hazard perception is easy to do now, practice for your CPC module 2, I have just done them and I've had two 4 hour lessons and have another two left before my test

@@viperrtklol8181 loads of time to practice, I had my lessons 1 a week for 4 weeks and test on the 4th week, passed it now, try do your CPC module 4 because my license for that is taking forever!

I have days with my satnav, where you're driving along and start wondering where the heck it's taking you. Start to wonder what I've done wrong to upset it!
Here is a story to give new pass hgv drivers hope of finding work. I got made redundant from my job due to covid so I decided to do my class 2. I passed everything first time and my hopes were high of finding work but I got a shock. Everyone everywhere wanted 6 months or 1 year experience. I handed about 30 CVs out in person to different companies and heard nothing, I thought I made a huge mistake until yesterday when I got a phone call offering me an interview for today and they've offered me a job, I'm over the moon. There is hope for new passes just get your arse into gear and hand CVs out in person, dont bother applying for position that are on job sites just do it in person and talk to the person you are giving it to. I start Tuesday next week. I'm over the moon and there is definitely work out there just be proactive and you will find it.
Passed my class 2 three weeks ago and found work with a decent agency they take a chance with new drivers good luck with new job 👍

Congratulations mate. I passed my class 2 and didnt have much luck for a couple of months but a job came up and someone put in a word and haven't looked back since.used to be in the building trade but hated it although good money but now i love my job so happy days.

Hallo Deady, can you recommend a good / reliable truck sat nav or app? Was multi dropping in class 2 round London the other day and had problems with width restrictions found the drop eventually but was proper stressful trying reroute around the restricted roads. Thanks as ever for your helpful and entertaining videos.

I ve got a 3 year old.Scania G cab and had a tick tick tick from the nearside,and it turned out to be the plastic trim on the roof that covers the roof seam that runs from front to back,on the edge of the flat bit of the roof,the front lifts on it,and taps against the roof. Try that,was really annoying. Still does it once in a while,but at least I know what it was!!Great vid as per always. Stay safe Mukka

Passed my class 2 end of July and class 1 in mid September my first class 1 delivery was a tight farm in Kent similar gap to that OMG steep learning curve 👍

@@Deady2012 Try the slide out drawers under the bunk. I have heard before the latches need greasing as they make that noise. Hopefully that is the cause of the problem.
It will be the passenger seat backrest wobbling causing the noise. If you hear that noise next time your in that truck, hold the backrest and the noise should stop

Deady did you find out what all the emergency services was all about, must of been serious as they had the specialist hart team vehicles, keep up the good work m8, keep thinking of going back on tramping myself, as just doing locals now, and i used to enjoy venturing to different places, apart from London of course, there probably isn't many lorry drivers that enjoy going there
There was lots of them ha ha say they just was busy . I live next to a fire station and with Halloween 🎃 not to far I am going to be hearing a lot of sirens not like I usually have to listen to ha 😂😂 hope all the ambulance and police wasn't at to serious accident or whatever they respond to. I rather listen to sirens all day than listen to an ex girlfriend brag on about how great her life is 😅🤣 keep good bro

Also, watched the whole video, yes you was in Liverpool, you went past Sefton park where the Everton stadium is one side and Liverpool stadium the other, where you drove down the dock road and turned left, If you carry on the dock road you will see a huge air vent for the tunnels under the Mersey, I helped build a new bridge close to that where they are adding a new dock on the Liverpool side

Try out the Tom Tom GO PROFESSIONAL 6250, life time map update and speed cameras, diverts you around traffic if it’s faster to do so, also can put your height etc in so you won’t be going on any crap roads.

And also, the only way I know into Bootle Docks is by train through "bomb alley"! Went into the docks on a charter train and the local urchins throw stuff onto the train roofs from above. We had a shopping trolley thrown onto the roof of ours!

You was going the right way until you went past Goodison Park 😂 next time do a right onto queen's drive, that's the easiest way, or you can go to the bottom of the M57 onto switch island and follow dunnings bridge road all the way in through to the main gate 😄 Enjoyed this video mate haha
That's the way i usually go, up the 57 to the end. Sat Nav thought the long road onto the docks was shut.

Google maps have a time line so you can see we're you have driven day by day, if you activate it will work without having the app open or have it running in the back ground, I use it all the time as I do so may different runs being a relief driver 😉 its easier than filling out the post code then finding the shop on Google maps then finding out were the back door is and then the road leading to it then to put the post code and road name into the truck pratnav.

Really like the vids but 33.40 red light I no they are probably horrible at stopping but as the dash cam doesn't show the proper distance to me it looked like you could of stopped

Maybe could have stopped, but with a line of traffic behind me & sirens, i took a split second desicion to go through. Turned out to be quite a good decision tbf lol.

Can you tell me why a Map is better than something that actually guides you? Something that keeps you away from Weight limits & Bridges. Something that warns you of the speed limits constantly.
You learn routes, roads & hazards. Been doing the job for 38 years and still got home every weekend 😂. Never been lost but I have used a few roads I’d never used before. I can see the benefit in strange towns/cities. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your video content 👍
