    #scandalexposed #tonyevans #tonyevansstepsdown

On June 13th, CBS Texas reported a supposed prayer meeting for Tony Evans, but Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship quickly denied any such event was scheduled. This follows a series of rapid developments, including the controversial cancellation of a planned cruise and ongoing speculation about the reasons behind Evans' recent resignation. Stay tuned as we dive deeper into these updates and discuss the broader implications of this unfolding situation.

I'm not trying to be defending Pastor Tony Evans at all. If he's stepping down from being the pastor of Oak Cliff then he has done the right thing. It's not our job to find out who or what kind of sin happened. Pray for him and move on. We need to make sure that our lives are consecrated unto the Lord. Because we all have to answer to the Lord for ourselves.🙏

I don't see it as doing the #right thing...when you're being #forced to step down...if he were being #genuine he would have stepped down when he #committed the sin...but he chose to stay in the pulpit knowing that his actions would have #consequences...he's really lucky that he didn't end up like David...who literally went out of his mind because of trying to hide his sin...

I could care less, but I’m not shocked. I knew something would happen because his best friend is a cross-dresser. He doesn’t preach against sin, and his daughter is out of order. However, it is peoples business when you’re standing there in front of people who have spouses and children, claiming to be a pastor, and taking their money-yes it is everyone’s business to know the Bible that you don’t read as know those who labor among you. People like you who make those asinine comments what if it was involving a child? That’s nobody’s business?🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

As a son of God, I too, have failed, but God forgave me and restored me. He is not finshed with me yet and he's not finished with Dr. Tony Evans. He is still my brother and I will not cast a stone at him because I can not do so because I had sinned. I consider him more righteous of a man than I. He has helped me to get in right relationship with my Lord Jesus back in 2009 with his book Return To Your First Love. I still believe in Tony Evans. He can be restored again. He is still God's son. I'm praying for you, my brother! God loves you as he does me. He hasn't given up on us. Praise the Lord! Glory be to God the Father for his mercy and grace! Alleluia! Amen.

The Truth, we must understand by now that God is a God to fear, and He must be the centre of our relationship with God,not Pastors who were born by woman and man. He doesn't need Money, and we can get carried away with the power and need of it. Remember the temptations of Jesus Christ Yeshua, and His teachings are to focus on and not man. Paul got hold of himself because he knew the law, but we understand from the scriptures he did not know God through Jesus Christ Yeshua until God Himself opened his eyes. I knew Him all my life, but was covered under His wings until He was ready for me. It was and is still a mystery, but I will always trust Him even though I can see Him. His written words are enough for me to fear and give Him glory and honour. Amen❤

This situation seems to have two different aspects to it. First is Tony Evans the person and believer. As believers we all know that we still have a sin nature and we continually need to come to God to admit our failures and ask for forgiveness. It appears that Dr. Evans has done this. Second, there is the matter of being a pastor and the ministry of the Urban Alternative. Personal repentance is certainly required. However, depending on the sin, which seems to be a serious failing, personal repentance may not be adequate to keep his present position. That would be determined by the church elders or board of deacons. In most churches, it is clear what circumstances could cause a pastor to be disciplined or cost him his position. A confession citing only "personal sin" would not meet the standard required of a pastor in a serious situation as this. King David was called a man after his own heart by God. Reading the Psalms you encounter the depth of of repentance and sorrow David had. Still he suffered consequences of his personal sins, mightily so. Because Dr. Evans has not described his failing, we cannot know what the elders actions should be. Why Dr Evans chose at this time not to elaborate is something we can only speculate. I can sympathize with his predicament, who among us would like to have a painful failure or sin publicly exposed? The reality is that certain positions of authority could require that. In my field of accounting, there were certain actions that would have cost me my job and any future opportunities in that field. Until we know more, we cannot know if not naming his failure will be sufficient to allow him to resume his postion of pastor with no other consequences. Prayer for Dr Evans is needed. He needs God's guidance in his handling of this situation. It is not over with yet.

I want to make it clear that I fully support Tony Evans. I disagree with the videos that people are making about him, especially the ones that are harping on the fact that he didn’t tell the world what the sin was. It is none of the world's business. It is none of our business; that is between him and God. He did it the right way; he went before the elders of the church and the congregation and confessed whatever it was that needed to be confessed, point-blank. End of story. I question the motivation behind everyone making a video about this. Each of you needs to check your own sin gauge. You need to check your motives for posting about this issue. Are you trying to use the CZcams algorithm to gain more views for your channel and personal gain, or are you truly people of faith who understand that he has repented before God and the elders of the church? And are you praying for healing and restoration? I've been following Tony for years, and his teachings have significantly blessed my life and helped me through some very dark times. I’m not condemning him for his sin , that’s God’s job. However, whatever he did, he has covered up and continued in the pulpit.
Pastors and teachers and all leaders are held to a higher standard (James 3:1-2).
If the sin he committed years ago was so serious that it required him to step down now, it certainly would have required him to share it with the church Elders then.
I like Dr. Evans but that does not mean I condone what he did in covering it up until it was a more convenient time to bring it forth. It’s not for me to know what he did but the fact that he was preaching all this time in a hypocritical state is concerning.

I’m praying for Tony Evans and other leaders and also for ministers to be protected from future snares of the devil. But you without sin casting stone is taken out of context. The qualification for a leader and their level of accountability is different as they as influential overseers can cause many to stumble. Christians ought to know their word. But many are scared to judge as they would like to continue in their own sin. Let’s all continue to sin and not judge one another is not what the Bible says…,

How hypocritical of Christian’s to act like we are without sin. Passing judgment of a sin that happened in his past is totally ridiculous. It’s judgmental and condemning especially when we ALL have past sins. This basically means that non of us would qualify to work in Gods kingdom and that is not how God works. It is totally ridiculous!!! Re instate the man !!!!.

The congregation nor indeed the WORLD would not have known about this 'sin' if he did not himself came out and confess that he did sin so what RUBBISH are you saying? What is very telling is the fact that he is confessing YEARS after. WHY? A man of integrity does not operate like this. If he sinned a FEW YEARS ago and he is feeling NOW that it was so grievous as to warrant stepping down then it has to be a big deal and the timing of this 'confession' is SUSPICIOUS.

We don't know the sin so we can't speculate, however God has set some rules in regards to leaders of the flock which is a life above reproach...so it would be hard to reinstate him in front or leading a church. That being said he absolutely should be restored in the flock...no matter how long it took him to repent...we need to take the log out of our own eyes before we go after others. I pray for the true repentance of Mr. Evans. We all need grace🙏

If you think youve done right by your deed, you're completely wrong and you know it. God forgives if you CONFESS. Repent so you can be forgiven. Do it right. The church should ask him to leave.

  • @00Ande00

If it was a past sin, he probably should have confessed it in the past when it happened. The bible teaches to confess your faults one to another. No one is perfect and everyone falls short, so no judgement here. If I were to guess, I would say a woman was probably involved as historically they have always been the downfall of men (Adam and Eve, Sampson and Delilah, King David and Bathsheba, etc.) As Jesus once said, those without sin, throw the first stone. Just hope he grows stronger and gathers up the courage to confess what he did so he can truly move past it. As long as the question mark is there, not sure if he or anyone else will ever be able to truly move past this.
