There is a spirit of revenge and vindictiveness against this man that I find very troubling. I’ve said it a million times and will continue to do so, that If he in fact repented (metanoia: change of mind) and proved repentance by, as he claims, “walking in purity and accountability” and not repeating the abuse (sin) against Cindy or any other child, then I see nothing in Scripture that in any way teaches he needs to be punished today in the PRESENT, or kept from ministry in THE PRESENT for what he did in the PAST, but has not done again for almost 40 years. James 5:16 teaches us to “Confess your trespasses to one another…” not that we need to make public confession to everyone and forever our most intimate sins that we have “metaniaed” from and embarrassed to talk about…. What according to Scripture is the standard that teaches what sins of our PAST, that Christ has washed clean with His blood and we do no more, could stay in our closet and which ones need to be broadcasted to the whole world and forever? Is there anything hidden in YOUR closet that you have not confessed to anyone? Our culture should not be the one dictating how as a church we deal with pastor Robert, but Scripture!

Gateway will continue even and in spite of the negative comments in this and other podcasts, with all due respect you should be working for ABC or CNN or anyone of the Fake News outlets. I predicted James Morris and elders on leave would resign. Soon Gateway will change its name and begin to close or sell off satellite campuses. I pray they pick a great new pastor. I went to Gateway for 14 years, but left after the Jimmy Evans controversy, concerns about the prosperity and prophesy ministries, and the sons taking over the church. Churches are not family businesses.

If people leave because of the pastor, then they went to church for the wrong reasons. You go to church to hear what Jesus says to you through the pastor and not because of the pastor. Churches find new leaders all the time and if were happy there, why leave because of the lies from one man. The people are the church and not the pastor. Go, and do what God called you to do!
