Very nice video, thanks! May I ask a general basic question: what is benefit in using a classic lead + pva bags versus using a method-feeder lead? I mean in general, what does a classic lead set up have that a method feeder does not? Thanks
Hooklink tied direct to the leadcore leader, @6:38 So if the mainline breaks, the fish will be towing around the whole length of leadcore ? Assuming that the lead can break free, otherwise it would towing that around too. Ready tied leadcore leaders tend to have a good sized spliced loop on the end. Would this lead be able to pass over that ? Even if it could, a fish could still be towing all the leadcore leader about. I hesitate to use the term "death rig", but this looks like one to me.
@@tama-4225 - Read my comment and understand. It's not the lead, it's the whole length of leadcore. That is what would be the the tether risk. Especially with a loop on the end. It usually has a breaking strain of around 45lbs. No fish is gonna break that. Why do you think that anglers who know what they're doing use a heli rig with leadcore ?
@@samcaton3924 - Make no mistake about it mate. A fish towing leadcore around is at risk of being tethered. That's why any angler who knows what their doing, when it comes to leadore, uses a helicopter rig. One which can shed any beads etc.

This is nothing like a "death rig"
That lead will easily pass over the loop at the end, how else would he have got it on there?

The insert comes out of the led and the lead would be gone.. and a short length of leadcore isn’t a a tether risk….
