I really appreciate that you keep us informed about chamges and options in places you may not be interested in. As well as the reasons etc.
I think it is a good thing that not everyone wants to be in the same place, I would get tired of moving away from the masses :).
I am amazed at the plethora of uses for coconut oil. It's definitely nutritionally beneficial as well as healing for many topical ailments. Now Diesel fuel? Okay... interesting...

I agree with your sentiment here. This doesn't sound like the best deal if you're going for a second citizenship or passport. BUT, if you already have a second or third passport, and you have some money you're willing to burn on a third citizenship/fourth passport just as an extra "Oh shit!" option, it's not the worst idea in the world.

Vanuatu currently consumes approximately 60 million liters of imported diesel annually for electricity generation. In the upcoming years, there are plans to replace this diesel with coconut oil.
This new program is highly beneficial for the country, as it is designed to support and expedite this transition from diesel.
For those interested in engaging with the Vanuatu citizenship process through this way, it can be completed entirely remotely. There is no need to visit Vanuatu, and the entire procedure is typically concluded within approximately 60 days.

ANY CBI should be considered a "donation" to the country and you shouldn't expect to get any money back. The benefit is the passport, access to live there and be in the tax system and in the case of Vanuatu, the ability to transit Australia without a transit visa - the only people who don't need such a visa are citizens of Vanuatu, Australia and New Zealand.
