I’m looking to expand what you did to a 6 speaker system using a 6 relay board. It is remote controlled instead of WiFi but it’s doable. Will swapping out your 4 relay for a six work? I can’t see the problem, but I don’t want to spend the money and have to start retrofitting it.

Hi Joe. Thank you for the kind words. Those speakers are sold by a company called monoprice. It looks like they are sold out on their website as well until September 4. But since you’re still building I would get an order in now so they’re ready by the time you’re done. If you give them a call and let them know I sent you their way I’m sure they can help you out or find an alternate if that doesn’t work. As far as running six speakers on the Bluetooth amp that I used. I have done it but it’s not ideal and I believe that electrically and mathematically it’s not a good idea. I just did it for testing and it worked but I don’t know about long-term reliability. I believe it puts stress on the amplifier. Instead I would call monoprice and see if they have something similar that would work but it’s probably going to be more costly and higher end than what I did. Also I think what most people would do with a higher budget that I had would go to a Sonos amplifier. Welcome! You can put a a lot of speakers on each relay if you wanted to. But you’ll need an amp powerful enough to power that many speakers. Also, the relays are so cheap that you could use several different relays if you wanted to. If you end up building something I would love to know more about it so please come back and share with us! I’m sure you’ll learn a few things to make it even better than this one.
Good question. The amp in the video would do it, but would be slightly underpowered. I think you would be surprised though, and it would be plenty loud for your use. But if you want to go next level, you would need to get a Sonos amplifier. They use the same one in the sonnance 6.1 channel system which is six speakers and a subwoofer. So this would be the amplifier to get. But as you can see the price point shoots up in order to power that many speakers. amzn.to/3TlLT8P

Great video, could you let me know if you are using Fosi amp with just 1 channel, but then split it into 4 channels by using wifi relay? How does stereo work in this set up?
There should be a link at the bottom of the video description, where you can click and see a drawing of a wiring diagram that I made. Every channel of the amp goes through the four channel relay separately. But look at the wiring diagram, and that will answer all of your questions.
@@fixitwithjake Oh, I see now! I thought the wifi relay had only 1 input 4 outputs. So it actually has 4 seperate in/out, basically you are using it to complete the circuit. Is there a setting in the Fosi Amp to make them all combined stereo because now you have 2 speakers with only left output and 2 speakers with right. Can you hear the difference if some songs that go left/right time to time?
@@HeadingForTomorrow Yes exactly. I hear no difference. It is the same way the speakers would be wired to the amp except that it is going through a relay on one side. The Fosi amp only has one set of left and one set of right. Not 4. I guarantee it will not matter to your ears. But if you wanted, you could wire the speakers left, right, left and right across your yard. Just a lot more wire and your ears will never know the difference. My friend has the Sonos system wired this way his backyard with 2 subs and my system sounds cleaner and wayyyy more control then that system. Better control on the app too.

Don't want to bother neighbors, just line them up and keep them low, but maintain filling music across the pool and deck area. Thanks again for these instructions, as soon as those speakers or similar goes on sale I'll start on this project. :)
Yes they have an android app for that device. I have not needed a fan to keep the box cool. It gets up to about 107°F here in the summer and it performed fine. With that said it would be beneficial to add a fan if you can. If you add a fan you’ll probably need a slightly larger box to accommodate it and make sure that by adding the fan you will not be allowing water to enter the box. So the fan will probably have to be mounted on the bottom with another air intake next to it with a screen so bugs and other critters to not try to get inside. I would love to see how your build turns out when you’re all done!

Ones been working fine after a year of use. All depends on how much you want to so end to solve your problem. I’m assuming you live somewhere much warmer? If your concerned about the heat, you can buy a larger box and cut some large holes on the bottom to let it breathe and vent. Glue in some window screen to keep bugs out. Less chance of water getting in from below. How do you go from the speaker wire to the RCA connections on the back of the fosi?
Stick the wire in and screw it down. It accepts bare wires.
