Biggest Trashy Junk Journal I Ever Made

- Hi, it's been at least a year since I've shared anything online so I'm a little bit rusty. I've been working on this giant thing for a long time. Please say hello to Fubsy the Garbougie! What does that mean you might be wondering? Garbougie is a type of journal, created by gluing down everyday garbage such as left over magazine images, used stamps, product logos, old receipts - whatever paper trash falls into my hands to create bougie collage pages that look fancy. In other words... I just made it up to represent my junk journals here on youtube. LOL! So let's do a complete flip through of this pleasantly plump book and talk about what I've done in there.

I love seeing an actual junk journal, created from actual "junk", as opposed to pretty papers purchased from Hobby Lobby or Amazon. Those journals are beautiful and amazing but this one you've created has some sentimental value for you, and is a little piece of history that you can look back on later and show your kids and grandkids images from what will eventually be "way back when"...
This is a collaging Masterclass in my humble opinion. I will always go back to watch this video, when I feel unispired. Loooove your work and your mindset.

This is fantastic! I don’t think that CZcams should have any say in what images you choose… there is nothing even ifffy in your composition. Kids book or not. Your thoughtful disposition of the playboy magazine source material proves it. That was a video romp, thanks.

Not if its Art/ Collectible Art etc...as you only made one original..I meant you could make a printed version for your own reference if you wanted, not make copies to sell...lol!

My personal opinion is that the vintage pages are your best pages.
I have several of these books so far, everything inside of them means something to me, even if random placed.
I enjoy seeing what others are doing, although I probably will never post my own multi-media art. Great job & many blessings for 2021!

That is one of the most amazing junk journals I have seen. It reminded me of the "scrapbooks" I used to do as a kid back in the day. I can imagine people looking at this journal in 30 years time in awe.

love the things that you stick in your journal i put everything anything in my journal and stick as much as i can in my journal. i love saving things like that for my journal i do not really have a seprated journal for just that i like it all in one

I use composition notebook. I got red, blue,yellow, green, rainbow. Inside red cover has red stuff. Same for the other colors. I am new to finding you. Inspired me to do more.

I love the journal. I'm kind of afraid to start one because of all the trash I'd have to hoard! Maybe one day :)
My trash stash has gotten a little out of hand these days. It's at least two shoe boxes full now. It's kind of a addiction. At least it's a cheap one. =P
Lol! I am CONSTANTLY chiding my better half for forcing recyclable stuff! We do the standard cardboard,plastic metal.. not glad because our stupid county doesn't recycle it! So we buy little in jars,I will save some for projects. Anyway,I'm SURE Hubby thinks I'm Bonkers for snatching paper and some food containers to make tags and such! I LOVE IT! I hand cut circles for tags from cracker, cereal,and other chipboard/ lite cardboard,tags,some packaging,labels...always looking for other resources! Too bad the real pretty stuff do expensive, like vintage ephemera and such. I make my own which is fun and a bit challenging at times. I don't have a printer, plus the ones are far too pricey!

Oh, I really like your Garboishy (spelling?) journal. I’ve made a couple but never new what I was doing. Just playing with things I didn’t want to throughout. Garbougie doesn't really mean junk journal. It's just a name I made up. You can call it anything you want. I don't know what I'm doing either but, it's still fun to do. Thanks for watching! 😊

This journal is hilarious! It actually triggered a lot of memories....like “Quisp” cereal....that and “Freakies” were my fav cereals when I was a kid (probably more for the prize inside than the actual cereal lol). This journal reminds me of the books my brother and I used to put together using collectible stickers called “Wacky Packages”....they were spoof stickers making brand names into spooky or gross things.....for example “Crest” toothpaste was changed to “Crust” and the pictures were hilarious! Don’t know what I did with those....wish I still had them. Anyway I save every little thing too, but have not put anything together in a long time. Inspiring for sure! I remember the wacky packages. They use to sell them at Dollar Tree and garbage pail kids trading cards. I have been waiting for them to come back. It's never too late to make a new book for yourself. Thanks for watching!!! 😊
I love it!!❤️😍 I do books similar to this on a regular basis with composition 📚 books, journals, etc... Some are themed for Seasons, Holidays, Etc and then they are collaged with no theme. I use whatever I get my hands on trash, paper scraps, wrappers, tags, from clothes, thrift store bundles/ finds, scrapbooking kits, scrapbook paper pads, etc...I absolutely love it, it's relaxing, peaceful, makes me happy, I make them for me.❤️😍☺️♥️💕🤩 Keep having fun!!!
