Mistakes In the Pokemon Games

- Just like in the Pokemon anime the Pokemon games have mistakes as well! From sprite errors to text errors there are a lot of mistakes to talk about! They aren't as big of mistakes as in the anime but they're still there. Maybe you've notice some of these before or know one I didn't list? Let me know!
- Hry
One mistake would be that in Emerald, Steven claims that the space center is in Sootopolis city, not Mossdeep city.
Perhaps ;3
Omg, Lucy
Has a phantom :o.
Phantom: no I'm me XD
CandyEvie I watch your videos every day.
CandyEvie good one!
Where did you come from?
-YES
-NO
Yes? Yes town?
No? You mean to say you were born at the very bottom of the sea?
maybe? missingno town?
Uh,Brandon,JAVENT YOU HEARD OF MAGIKARPS REVENGE! (BY THE WAY,IM KINDING)
+Yaviel Velazquez ...
im playing pokemon emerald and i found that in pacidifolog town
The magikarp jumping over mountains thing is based on a legend where a carp jumps over a waterfall & turns into a dragon. The inclusion isn't a mistake by any stretch of the imagination.
And that dragon is a Pokémon THAT... isn't even dragon type. I'm talking about gyarados
+Jai Morjaria Gyarados can learn dragon type moves and it doesn't matter the typing.
+Jacob Bunea Yeah just joking
also in the first Japanese games magic carp don't know splash but it knows hop
+Jordan Fealko Splash IS Hop. Just a mistranslation.
This soup sure is good!
Said Ash holding a fork.
I remember!
maybe they run out or don't have spoon
When you lie and say your girlfriend's cooking is good
+Yue Rong have you noticed in oras if you go to that house and talk to that kid he'll ask you where you are from and you can only say yes/no but when you select one he says "oh yes/no town? Where is that"
+Yue Rong no he doesnt say yes or no town
Winona's Altaria is level 33.
Swablu evolves into Altaria at level 35.
Looks like Winona's been taking lessons from Falkner...
And Lance.
Caliya Ledesma and ghetsis
Jyothi Murthy And... and... nobody else XD
ghetsis's hydreigon is level 54
zwelious evolves into hydreigon at level 64.
Thor Let's not forget Iris. She has a lvl. 57 Hydreigon in BW2.
I'm pretty sure the "Where did you come from" one was intended to throw off those who weren't paying attention. That's why the guy says "What? Yes Town?"
+N05L31 no? that doesn't make any sense. you have to come from somewhere. oh! wait! you're not going to say you were born at the bottom of the sea?
N05L31 they even kept it in omega ruby and alpha sapphire, it was defenitely on purpose
GlinNicolas 1234 Yeah I love how they kept that in there. 😆
The Magikarp one isn't actually a mistake. Magikarp is based on a myth about a carp that leapt over a huge gate to become a dragon (which is why it evolves into a Gyarados). Because Magikarp is based on the carp in the myth, it makes sense it would be able to jump that high.
+HypnoMonkey almost nothing in this video is a mistake
+Sam Emaus -your face is a mistake-
LIES
+HypnoMonkey Yeah, the carp in the Chinese myth can do it but the Magikarp in my game can't even jump over a turd.
Yeah I read about that
+HypnoMonkey but gyradaos was never a real dragon
the fact that diglet knows scratch but scyther doesnt know fly makes me kill myself
+SoFoxe me too and in the og pokemon red why cant charizard learn fly
#00ff00Kying#000000KU seems legit
; Rhydon can also learn Surf ... :/
I was playing through sapphire and there was this one youngster on the staleport beach whose about level 14 zigzagoon knew surf.
+ExactlyPrecisely rhydon is based off of a rhino which can swim
fun fact: the Japanese games call the move spash "hop" which is the reasoning behind the magicarp being able to jump/hop over mountains, yet still remain useless in battle. Also, this is why hoppip knows the move as well.
in diamond and pearl a girl said she beat roark...and she had a level 5 bidoof
Did it have headbutt because she could've gotten a lot of crit flinches
It would need a never before seen miracle to beat even roark's geodude
+Aahan Tulshan she used a tm28 on it. tm28 contains dig, which is a ground move. ground moves are good agaist rock pokemon.
Joshua Hill it didn't know dig
because she deleted the move later.
Falkner has a level 9 Pidgeotto...
13*
+Hodbaccachalla - Always Blame Lag 9 in the original game, 13 in the remake, look the story of pokemon man
Maxeltora Payves I thought he ment HeartGold/ SoulSilver because he didn't use all caps.
+Hodbaccachalla - Always Blame Lag its ok, but you should Know that, actuelly i dont Know what to say
Maxeltora Payves I feel like their is sarcasm in that comment, but I don't get it.
when you find a lvl 17 tentacruel while surfing: WTF POKEMON STOP HACKING
Southerncali wolfaj Yep in g/s/c. Good grinding exp to level 30 before Chuck & Jasmine though
ikr i grinded 5 levels for each gym leader it helped.
Lv 40 Magikarp???
I got a lvl 80 once XDDD
+Southerncali wolfaj LVl100 magikarp is where its at!
Where are you from?
Yes.
I'm from No
***** Im from Maybe. Hows No?
I'm from Jump, What the heck is Maybe?
***** Pretty fine, a lot of nothingness over here though
I'm from A. I'm currently on my way to yes for vacation. I heard its hot there.
Magikarp is based off a Japanese legend where a fish jumped over a waterfall and came back down as a dragon. Hence Gyarados. SO that's why it's Dex entry is like that.
***** Could be. I thought it was Japanese, though.
Japanese and Chinese always gets me confused
It's a Chinese thing
blancathewhitedemon Chinese eyes point up and Japanese eyes point down that's how i tell them apart.
I remember finding a level 7 Noctowl in HG/SS one time. And of course there's Ghettis' infamous Hydreigon.
They make fun of the "where did you come from? Y/N" in ORAS because if you say yes the child will say "Yes town? You're from Yes town?" Or somthing of that nature.
Didn't they do that in the originals?
EggWithAKnife yes they did!
It's because your character can't stop saying yes or no xD
What house?
nikaya lohr the second to last house to the left if i am not mistaken
Here is one that bugged me in HeartGold/SoulSilver: When Lyra/Ethan calls you saying that her Marill evolved, not only does she appear in-game with her un-evolved Marill, but she keeps calling saying that her Marill evolved? Is that Marill somehow "devolve"? Or does she call while Marill is evolving, and once she hangs up, the Marill stops evolving?
That's bugged me too, maybe the guy organising the phone call dialogue forgot to mention it to the others.
se has a marril armry i tell you i have seen it all gay :o
It's a mistranslation, the actual dialogue from the Japanese version is about how she react to see her Marill evolve into an Azumarill.
"My Marill is evolvi- oh wait no, false alarm, sorr- no wait! it's evolving this time for re- oh no, sorry again, false-"
***** a GAME THEORY. :3
Lance gets ticked at team rocket for pre evolving magicarp but he has 2 lvl 40 dragonites frigin hypocrite
Nobody Special tell that to his three inappropriately leveled dragonite
Can we talk about how some trainers have evolved pokemon before they are even the correct level
+NP9POP Like Iris her Hydreigon in bw2 :pp
I have no idea what that is I was talking about pidgeotto in fire red
+NP9POP
I dont know how it is in english but...
Donnerstein, Wasserstein, Blattstein?!
+NP9POP what about a caterpie at or above level 7. an npc who uses that pokemon is just being dumb. don't press the b button!
+DanielsLPecke the stones only work on specific pokémon, and none of those pokemon evolve through leveling up so... it can't be. [also I dunno if it interest you but, thunderstone, waterstone and leafstone, pretty much exactly as it is in German XD]
Lance dislikes people who evolve their pokemons prematurely
But he has 3 prematurely evolved dragonites
Dragonair evolve at lvl 55
Shame on you Lance
heh heh
In Gen 6, when you battle on a bridge.. You can use dig! And when you're in the sky you can use dig as well! Underwater you can use fire moves... And somehow in the sky all pokemon have some cloud layer to stand on!
That's gameplay stuff, like how water battles work...
***** I think those are more of oversights but it would be cool if the devs incorporated things like that into the game, can't use fire moves underwater, etc.
Whitney's Miltank has Rollout at Level 20, when no gym leader has access to TMs other than the one they give you. And Miltank only gets Rollout at level 34.
orcawhale5123 we do not talk about Whitney's miltank
idk if it's really a mistake or not, but...
In FR/LG when you go to Cerulean city, beat rival and nugget bridge
if you go to the left from the nugget bridge, there's trainer in tall grass. Before he battles you he says "Is saw your *feat* from the grass"
And uhhh...shouldn't it be *feet*?
Tho on other hand Feat means "An act or accomplishment of great courage", maybe it was ment that he saw you beat nugget bridge?
Oh well
One Giant Nostril It is supposed to be 'feat'.
Why in the world would it be 'feet'?
Xiaolruc as in
"I saw yor feet from the grass"
but this is kinda old, so idrc
One Giant Nostril It's the latter option, the trainer is saying he saw you beat nugget bridge, which is a "feat", but don't worry, as a kid it confused me too.
Roman Keller it's confusing to me
b/c english isn't my native language :O
One Giant Nostril I understand. :)
Eyy, I know another error (and I don't blame them on this one):
You can use Dig on the stairs in BW2 that leads to N's Castle. I was too lazy to walk and I didn't wanna use my Escape Ropes so I just used Dig. I accidentally used it while on the stairs and I was all, "oops". Then it worked.
statues are water blocks
"Where did you come from?" Yes/No
After all these years I never realized that mistake. XD
Oh another creepy pasta youtuber tell me more
I think the developers were just thought it would be funny
YES/NO Pick Yes he says Yes town? wheres that. Pick No he says something like, No? Where are you from the bottom of the sea?
Yes.
I came from yes
Yes!There isn't any mistakes about me!
Yes there is....Wait! How did you get out of the distortion dimension again?! Ugh and Arceus is on vacation...
hey hypno are you coming to pedacon 2014
Finally hypno I got some children for u
Ill stop by your cave today or tomorrow
hey are you coming to pedacon 2014 too kenny
im gonna go fuck my bitch
I'm digging your videos love listening to them at work I think I listen to you videos more than music at work makes the day go by quick
Stranger: Where did you come from?
You: YES, DEFINITELY
You're videos are top quality! You really deserve more subscribers^.^
In Gold, silver, and crystal Falkner had a level 9 pidgeotto
I noticed that and I was like, "BUT I HAVE A LVL 13 PIDGEY!!"
***** viridian forest but that's in kanto not johto
Ethan Lien Lol yhea. I lost to him first time around so im like OK TIME TO LEVEL UP PIDGEY TO 13 TO EVOLVE HIM *training music*. I was like falkner y u hax dude. Btw in heart gold soul silver his pidgeotto is lvl 13
i am soo god damn happy that they kept the ''where do you live yes/no'' boy in oras xD
Girl: Where did you came from?
Red:Yes
Girl:Umm... what?
Red:Yes
Girl:You supposed to say Pellet Town.
Red:Yes
Girl:Ok i gave up just leave.
Red:Yes
*Girl used outrage.*
*Its super effective!*
*Red fainted.*
*Red paid 99999999999$ for losing.*
*Red whited out!*
omg lol
Yes
Plot twist :
Girl : Ok I gave up just leave
Red : Yes.
Girl used Outrage.
Red blocked with Yes.
Girl fainted from tiredness.
Bravi'M hahahahha i died oh laughing! 😂😂😂😁😂😂😂
are you sure the pacifidlog town npc is female?
Well, maybe YOU skip the descriptions. Reading them after finally catching the Pokémon is exciting.
IKR! I love seeing how weird some of the entries get. XD
Luna D ikr isn't it always funny when you catch one with a creepy/weird pokedex entry?
Austin555661 . Definitely. It just makes you think, "What the hell Nintendo!?" XD
Luna D they are the best
and they are also to some very unexpected pokemon the gen 5 jellicent is creepy you wouldn't expect a pink (or blue) puffy jellyfish to be the cause of sunken ships or yamask how does everyone have that face though lol
Austin555661 . Actually if you've seen the BW anime Ash gets strangled in one episode by a Frillish, so that one didn't surprise me much. XD
In pokemon x and y lysandres mega gyrados has iron head which is a gen 5 move tutor move....lysandre had pokebank before all of us
There are just so many mistakes that nobody could list 'em all...
MIND BLOWN.
you are so fun to watch the first video i watched of you was 151 unanswered questions in Pokemon i was sad that day and it cheered me up
Magikarps pokedex entry refers to a Chinese mythology. If a fish jumps over a waterfall a dragon will pop out. Hence magikarp to gyarados.
Tell me...
Who here lives in "YES" and who here lives in "NO."
I live in "Maybe".
EggWithAKnife I live in "IAskedYouFirst"
I live in "NoWhere".
i accidentally lived in left. im sorry :(
I live in "Nowhere" with Courage the Cowardly Dog.
The "Yes, No" Answer in the where do you live is in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire where a kid in Pacifidog says if you choose yes or no, "I never heard of (yes/no) town before!" GOOD ONE POKEMON XD
is it Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire or POKEMON XD GALE OF DARKNESS?
Pidgey just looks like a bird. That's not a mistake. They just made animals. They weren't striving to make Pokemon look like what everyone is used to now, which are the designs of the show. They just designed the animals. That's why Yellow came along and changed all that. I personally love the sprites on Red/Blue versions.
pokemon leafgreen there is a trainer that says "i saw your foots from the grass" ummm. wat.
***** Feet*
***** Ohhhhh. Riiiight.
thank you for correcting me Pokeplayer but none the less they messed it up.
Not feet........"FEAT". What that basically means is that, he witnessed your victories over the other trainers.
One mistake is that in Heart Gold & Soul Silver, you can have pokemon bigger that the buildings follow you, how do they fit in the door?
Some of them don't appear in the buildings, so that solves that issue.
***** It happened in my game I don't know why though
King Tyranno
Congratulations, you have an error! All Pokemon bigger than 1x1 step length (the length of 1 step in-game) will be put in its pokeball as you enter a building. Well, at least that is the most logical thing to assume based on the fact that there is an animation with small blue stars appearing around your Pokèmon as you step away from the door and it gets space. That animation looks an awful lot like a Pokemon being released from its Poke Ball.
Sondre Wold Damn dude, & I pre ordered it too
BY THE MAGIC OF.........eh I got nonthing....and a toilet
I know you already showed the one with the Pacifidlog Town kid asking where the player's from in the intro, but I love how he tried to correct himself by calling yes and no a town and city. XD
“Magikarp can’t even jump over a turd.”
This is hilarious XD
We all skip reading that "crap"? Uh... No?
Story is important for any game and the Dex entries are part of the story.
Why the hell would you NOT read them besides laziness or idiocy?
I know every dex entry by heart just like I know everything else - equations, item, item/trainer/Pokémon locations trainer Pokémon/levels, Pokémon base stats, egg/TM/HM/Level up moves etc., etc., etc.
Even if I didn't have an eidetic memory I still know all of it because I'd make it a point to remember it because I care. Why would you play something for ~16 years and not know everything?
As for the odd entries like Magikarp jumping over a mountain if you'd actually read it, it says one that's lived for many years can do so.
Pokémon quite obviously get better over time so it's obvious that they're saying it trains itself to do that over the many years it lived.
And even if it isn't true many of the entries ARE just rumors or myth.
The dex entries aren't fact it's a collection of data from that region by that trainer.
It's obvious if you pay attention that it's your character writing the dex entries based on what they hear in their travels.
They butchered it in the other media by using Dexter/Dextette, but you're intended to be filling it, not unlocking existing data.
How the game is coded does not equal the story behind it and the story says they ask you to FILL the Dex when they give it to you.
Which is a highly effective method for gathering data too. They could never hope to collect so much by themselves because everyone goes about their journey running into different people and Pokémon in different locations at different times possibly gathering different data.
Every trainers individual data can then be compiled by the researchers and they can begin testing them for truth - probably starting with the most common ones since they're more likely to be true.
Makes perfect sense and doesn't even require any thought to figure out.
You must be a pro to remember all of those pokedex entries, and I also always read them because I like to know as much as I can about pokemon
All i got was "bitch bitch bitch, i have no life!"
Oh my god you don't have to get so butt hurt
While some of the things you say is true, you are in the large minority when it comes to reading the dex entries. This is the sad truth and you really don't need to bitch about it to this extent.
Or idk you might just be trolling since knowing every entry by heart sounds fucking insane.......
masser4555 LOL
Oh oh oh 5th gen was a mistake!
low blow. xD
Ha Good One!
Hey, there are plenty of... no wait... nevermind... you're right.
dat face though
***** Pidove Tranquill Unfeazant.
Actually, about the X and Y trailer, trailers usually show a message saying, "Gameplay not final." It's possible that Game Freak was still working on Pokémon X and Y.
In Pokémon Emerald, when you battle Steven after the main story, he says the "Sootopolis Space center", when the space center was in Mossdeep.
Surfing on a statue in the elite four *pokemon red/blue version* :D
I've run into Caterpie that are higher leveled Metapods I've run into, in the same area... Not sure if that's a mistake, but it's weird.
and they keep using string shot... lol
A pokemon can choose to evolve or not. At least in the anime.
xBooMzHeadShotx but... they keep using string shot... that freaks me out
Haha ye i hate that move too :/
Found two mistakes in Pokemon GSC:
1. Nurse Joy's hair in Fuchsia City is green instead of red.
2. Misty's Golduck knows PSYCHIC even know it can't learn it in Gen II.
Good video man! I've noticed a few myself but you really piled em high! Norman's slaking and watt sons magneton all evolved before they were "suppose to" level wise but in the anime lvl is redundant or non existant. Not to mention lances team of dragonites ahem "lvl 45 dragon cheats hax anyone?"ahem. just to name a couple evolution based ones.
Gen 3: Toys is so Magical...
Giddy and his scintillating story everybody
chuggaaconroy?
Wild pokemon who evolved before their given level of evolution...that always confused me. Or the trainers who had evolved pokemon before given levels -not online people ether where it makes sense- i've seen several and I just don't understand
lv 7 Gyarados Pokemon Emerald
My brother even caught it but sadly, I can't find his old emerald game.
The Magikarp entry in Platinum is not a mistake but is in regards to Magikarp's origin of design.
"Magikarp is based on a legend about how carp that leapt over the Dragon Gate would become dragons. Several waterfalls and cataracts in China are believed to be the location of the Dragon Gate. This legend is an allegory of the drive and efforts needed to overcome obstacles. This may have inspired an element in Pokémon Snap where, after certain steps are taken, a Magikarp will splash its way into a waterfall where it evolves. Magikarp may also be based on Asian carp, which are easily frightened by disturbances in water and can jump 8-10 feet (2.5-3 m) in the air."
The yes/no town was a parody about how the protagonists only say yes or no, and nothing else
The "your light years away from facing Brock" kid is the only gym trainer in Pewter City Gym and although the gym specializes in Rock type pokemon, he uses ground types.
Not really a mistake just an oddity.
Onix and geodude are half ground half rock
Yeah?
Then he's like 'Light years measures distance, not time.'
Pete Cat But dat guy used Sandshrew thooo
Theres a guy in pokemon emerald that says did you see my glasses and he already wearing them xD
I realised that.
ABrandonToThePast HEY!! THAT "Where are you from? Yes. No" IS AWESOME!!!!
The fact that you can find level 6 (or lower) Metapods in the gen 1 games and the remakes always confused me.
As Caterpie evolved into Metapod at level 7, which is a number after "level 6"
In pokemon OR/AS Aarune the secret base expert has a fucking level 23 flygon in fortree city!! Trapinch doesn't even evolve till level 35 and 45 to flygon
Thunder Catz What?
Some pokemon can learn moves without the body parts
+TheDark Luxray Suprise Attack*
+thelokosolokos Drain Punch was Drain Punch in Japanese, Ice Punch was freezing punch and Focus Punch is Fighting Spirit Punch. We don't have an explanation.
... wooper can learn ice punch and Beeheym can learn steel wing i think
I don't understand Wooper, but Beeheym can learn that cause an HM he can learn in Gen 5 got swapped with Steel wing
steel wing is a tm,not an HM. TM51 was the psychic-type move ally switch in gen 5,tM51 changed to steel wing and they forgot to remove elgyem and beeheeyem from the list of pokemon that could learn TM51. elgyem and beeheeyem obviously had the power to switch allies, due to being aliens. also, aliens are from area 51.
In Diammond and Pearl, one of the trainers in the Oreburgh Path has a Budew with Water Sport. The Budew is 2 levels lower than when a Budew normally gets Water Sport.
Here's a really funny one!:
Man at the Viridian City Gym: "Even I don't know the identity of the gym leader!"
Red: *Turns to read Sign"
**VIRIDIAN CITY GYM**
Leader: GIOVANNI
Red: *Turns back to man* "You sit on a throne of lies."
In one of the new ORAS trailers it shows Shiftry using Leaf Blade, but Shiftry can't learn Lead Blade! :O
lol lead blade
Darude-sandstorm
Eliz Cueva Just....no.
Game: Shiftry used Lead Blade!
Sidney: WHAT THE FUCK?!
Lead Blade? Damnit, the release of the Fairy type fucked moves up!
Gastly can learn ice punch and yanmega can't learn fly
The Ho-Oh colour thing has been cleared up, the colours have 7 variations, but that depends on the angle you look at Ho-Oh from.
This channel is my childhood
I'm so pissed. Once I caught an Arodactyl and in my Box 3 from the pc in the Pokémon Center, it says I have a Chancey.
Okay, one? You cant catch Aerodactyl. Two, why would you be discapointed in having Chansey, it's somewhat rare and hard to catch.
You can only get arodactyl through fossils
I live in NO. Don't call my town a mistake.
No Name. England is my city
In Pokemon Emerald, when you meet Steven to battle, he says that they've battled together in Sootopolis City, but it was Mossdeep City, not Sootopolis.
Well, that Magikarp entry just went off of a legend. A Magikarp like creature made its way up a mountain and waterfall, then turns into whatever the Gyrados equivalent is. You see it happen in Pokémon Snap.
I feel I'm the only one who actually reads the Dex entries... Ah, well, really interesting video!
I reed (don't know how to spell, I'm brazilian) it too.
***** Your spelling's very good for English not being your first language- don't worry about it!
***** I just find the Dex entries pretty interesting to read- and some of them are utterly hilarious. It's the same with NPCs and bookcases in the games- I always check out everything you can interact with to see if there's anything interesting hidden there!
The Fearsome Froakie Same thing here! Also, Team Froakie FTW!
***** Loved the frog right from the get-go, as well as Honedge. Buuut TheFearsomeHonedge didn't really ring too well!
at level 42, my metang tried to learn fly in oras and i was like "WHAT?"
wait what xD
i dont even know, i just turned off my game.
Pokemaniac Bob ya did you level it up later again and did it try to learn fly again?
no it didnt try too learn it again,
Pokemaniac Bob thats good
I noticed a lot of times when there was a npc trainer's pokémon at an evolution before the proper level. I don't remember any specific examples, but it always cracked me up.
*COUGH* *COUGH* ghetises hydregon
My brother once got a glitch in Pokémon Yellow that gave him a Rapidash that knew Metronome.
a level nine pidgeotte in falkners gym in Gen 2
i believe in like R/B/Y you can find lv8 wild pigeotto
PhantomDR No. Just in Yellow and later Crystal.
I've found a lvel 9 pidgeotto. it was from falkner's gym in gold.
And also Pokémon Yellow in Viridian Forest.
And in Crystal after getting access to Kanto following the Pokémon League.
In Pokémon Red/Blue a guy next to the Nugget Bridge says ,, I saw your feat from the grass!" FEAT
so far I've found a few oddities in the Champion, or Lance's pokemon, for example Iris' Hydreigon, or Lance's gen 1 dragonite's levels
this reminded me about an episode where ash and his pokemans got trapped in a snow cave and instead of having charmander as a charizard they keep him as a charmander for that episode only. When I saw that im all like WTF charmander evolved a few episodes ago
-_- I know how to spell pokemon I just choose to spell it Pokeman Cuz I like too XD
-_- Wow I am not a noob FYI I know A LOT about Pokémon I have over 500 pokemon cards I don't think a noob would have that many cards
and I didn't say u called me a noob
idk I just did it and WHY are u writing in caps in the beginning
I am not a boy bitch im a girl
when you see a wild Pidgeotto in Pokémon Platinum lv 16... wtf???
Pidgeotto level 9 in viridian forest in yellow version. Anyone else?
Reed Tetsaiga Yeah I think that was in FRLG too. I'm not sure though
+GalvakzaMusic Level 2 Metapods guys!
SoulsOfBirds gaming LMAO!
lv 5 Azumarill in pokemon black 2
In X and Y, there is a town with two NPC's that ask to see a big pokemon, and a small pokemon. I went up to one, not knowing they asked, and they said "Wow! Amazing! Rayquaza is sooo big! Riding on Rayquaza would be so much fun!". Let's just say it made my day....
Gen III often mixed up usage of "good" and "well." A breeder in RSE states "Your Pokémon are growing good!" and the Daycare Man in FRLG states" Your Pokémon are doing good!" when you check on your Pokémon. Well, I guess my Pokémon grow in the daycare by doing good deeds regardless of their actual condition.
Yes and No Town is just a joke, I'm pretty sure.
Yes and no town?
In Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, there's this guy in the floating city who asks where you're from, but the game only gives you the options Yes or No. He says something like 'Yes Town? I've never heard of that'! or something else. Idk, I remember it being pretty funny that the developers messed with the players like that as a kid.
What is your name?
°YES
NO
Yes
No
Maybe
i think so
If I remember correctly, Shauna's Goodra in X/Y is level 49 when you battle her on a bridge somewhere (I forgot), but Sliggoo evolves into Goodra at level 50 (when it's raining).
As a kid when I was playing PMD, I thought Fruistration was Fruitstation. Well that frustrated me
EclipseRain Mage XD
Skybattles in OR/AS = Every Pokémon can fly/levitate! (And can use Dive, Earthquake and Dig in *SKY*!
Underwater battles in OR/AS = No Pokémon needs O2! (And can Dive and use any Flying type moves at *BOTTOM* of a sea!
Water battles in any generation = Every Pokémon is Jesus. (and And can use Earthquake and Dig at *WATER*!
My Suggest:
Skybattles: You can't use Dive or any Ground type moves. And you must have a flying Pokémon like in X and Y to battle.
Underwater battles: You can't use Dive or any Flying type moves in Underwater battles.
Water Battles: You can't use any Ground type moves in Water Battle.
This is just nit picky. why not say "oh you can't use fire types in grass because they'll burn down the grass" "oh you cant use a flying type in a sandstorm because it'd get blown away"
Ryuukosho ok, go with pickaxe and try to pick that water and let's see than again..
and try fly in air.. not working? surely not, you have no wings!
and how you think does pokémon have infinite o2 source in sea? I think plain stupid..
that sandstorm thing was stupidly said, animals *can* fly at sky, even if there is some wind, and pokémon ar surely more powerful creatures!
( but maybe dive ban was stupid, idk)
Double D I see what you're saying dude but what's the point in such a pokemon variety if we are confined in certain places
Ryuukosho it would be better for making all pokémon even more unique than they're now!
Double D Maybe an idea for a challenge run they could put in
In pokemon black and white Ghetsis has a underleveled Hydregon (I think it is level 54 while Zwilious (dunno how to spell it) doesn't evolve until level 64 (I think))
yup your right Deino evolves into Zweilous at lvl 50 and Zweilous to Hydreigon at lvl 64 = Ghetsis is a Cheater!!!
Guilherme Girola yea and it is even worse in black 2 and white 2 because his hydregon is even lower leveled (its like level 50 in black 2 so he is cheating even more because he somehow made his pokemon delevel)
true dat
Guilherme Girola your comment has a translate option that translates from true dat to true that XD
XD
"Magicarp couldnt even jump over a turd"
Im dying.
To be fair about Gardevoir's Fairy Wind, it did say in the trailers that the gameplay wasn't final.
Even so, they might make it a move tutor move for Gardevoir in ORAS
I have found a mistake in the Pokemon franchise...
POKEMON FU&@ING GO!!
For some reason, in Gold/Silver/Crystal, the Gyarados in the Lake of Rage is red? And it wasn't fixed in the remakes...
+BroneDoesThings Its a shiny you noob
+TheEndirrMC Don't be silly; Pokemon don't shine! They're not metals!
+BroneDoesThings Its supposed to be red. it has to do with the mysterious something that is making most of the magikarp in the lake evolve in gyarados
_Gyarados_
_are_
_not_
_red!_
_:D_
+BroneDoesThings ikr
Some of ho-oh's feathers are white, and white can be reflected into all the colours in the rainbow, so the pokedex entry is technically right.
It says the wings are colored rainbow, when Ho-Oh's wings are not rainbow.
I'm pretty sure the magikarp pokedex about him splashing over a mountain is a slight reference to the folklore or whatever that Magikarp/Gyrados are based on.
I have a mistake
WHY THE FUCK IS KADABRA BIGGER THAN ALAKAZAM
Why is Dragonair bigger than Dragonite? :)
SuperDBZHPFan It's not actually bigger mass-wise, it's just longer (see the snake like figure?) furret has the same problem, although it's not very tall it is very long.
you know what I meant that's good enough
***** WTF? I never even mentioned science! I harked back to a well known saying and explained the specifics of pokedex entries! What does that have to do with science!
Mine WIzardKnightsLP Alakazam's JP pokedex entries state how it has to use its psychic power to balance his enlarged cranium, so perhaps it just doesn't bother to get itself taller than Kadabra at that point. I'm more perplexed that Alakazam can learn Iron Tail when it clearly lost its tail on evolution.
2 mistakes of Winona:
She has a Lv33 Altaria who had Dragon Dance, Swablu can't evolve until Lv35, and Altaria can't learn Dragon Dance until Lv40.
In Emerald, one of her rematches include a Dragonair with Earthquake, but it can't learn it until as a Dragonite.
Other mistakes include:
Falkner's Lv9 Pidgeotto
Morty's Lv21 and Lv23 Haunters
Chuck's Lv27 Primape
Pryce's Lv29 Dewgong and Lv31 Piloswine
Wattson's Lv23 Magneton
Norman's Lv28 and Lv31 Slakings
The magikarp one was actually based off Japanese lore, the story goes as a fish that could jump a mountain and turn into a dragon, hence magikarps evolution into a dragon like garydos
Wooper knowing the move Ice Punch and Shroomish knowing Focus Punch and Gastly knowing all the elemental punches
